  1. NO.. I meant on looks. The Malibu and the Mazda6 , IMO, are the two best looking midsizers hands down. The Malibu carries more weight with me for obvious reasons.. and not to mention the new tech.
  2. Seriously congrads.. Car looks awesome. I really think that Chevy did a fantastic job one this iteration.. taking ques from the Impala and the 2015 Malibu and making it nicer than any other mid-size I can think of save maybe the Mazda6. This has Start/Stop I believe. I wonder if, like the Cadillac XT5 I tested a few days back.. if it has an override feature within the climate control to damn near disable S/S all together. EDIT: OK.. this was also a feature in the last gen Malibu 2.5L with S/S. From Chevy: System details
  3. U did an awesome thing from what I've seen of this car.
  4. Pretty nice power ratings. It is imo the numbers that the CT6 should boast when the TTV8 comes out.
  5. Very nice. I hope, in fact, that the next Enclave takes some of this styling. It is a gorgeous CUV.. so much better looking than what is coming from Lincoln and Acura
  6. It really will make things a bit less confusing.. on top of that.. ATS WITH NO SINGLE PIPE.. YES!!! The 2.0L is now going to be at high end ofthe spectrum in terms of power in the segment. Also remember that the fuel econ of the 2.5L is almost identical to that of the 2.0L Turbo despite the 2.0L having 70 more HP and 100lbs more of torque
  7. I KINDA called the engine change back in the "ATS 8Speed" thread earlier, altho I figured that the 2.0L would be come the base in 2018 as the CT3
  8. Ya right. Is your car stock? No current gen stock Impala can take down a new V-6 Camaro or V-6 Mustang. Crazy is not what I'd call you. U kno what U can do.. Oh. I prefaced what I said with "I bet good money..." what's effin sad.. is the results. While the PURPOSE BUILT Sports coupe Mustang can certainly beat my full-size family car Impala V6 right off the truck.. it ain't by very much at all. 2014 Chevy Impala V6 C/D TEST RESULTS: Zero to 60 mph: 6.0 sec Zero to 100 mph: 15.5 sec Zero to 130 mph: 34.5 sec Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 6.2 sec Top gear, 30-50 mph: 3.4 sec Top gear, 50-70 mph: 4.0 sec Standing ¼-mile: 14.8 sec @ 97 mph Top speed (drag limited): 149 mph Braking, 70-0 mph: 178 ft Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.82 g C/D TEST RESULTS: 2015 Ford Mustang V6 Zero to 60 mph: 5.5 sec Zero to 100 mph: 13.4 sec Zero to 120 mph: 20.4 sec Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 5.9 sec Top gear, 30-50 mph: 3.3 sec Top gear, 50-70 mph: 3.9 sec Standing ¼-mile: 14.1 sec @ 102 sec Top speed (governor limited): 124 mph Braking, 70-0 mph: 164 ft Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.86 g Look at the 30-50.. the 50-70.. almost identical. Even the coveted 0-60 isn't anything that far off. And JEEZUS CHRIST... I can attest to the fact that my Impala can hit at least 140MPH, but are U telling me that the Ford Mustangh.. the FORD MUSTANG.. can only go up to 124mph??? Thanks for correcting your error. Error? Where did I make an error?? Again.. my comment was "I bet.." Still no proof until I get out here and challenge some dumb ass stupid enough to buy a new V6 MustARD over a Camaro.. or RENTING one.. since that's seeming the way that Ford is bumping sales.. so we'll see.

  10. Here we go with this... Listen. They clearly state that the BMW was at 7160 miles. and that it had been in the fleet for 2 months. Meaning.. I doubt that BMW dropped off a crip new 740i to C&D when this 2 month period began. That it was a probably broken-in, or at the very least had 3K on the ODO before they got it. Oh.. the picture below tells me that the Cadillac wasn't broken in.. and that just like about 99% of time.. I'm right.. and U ain't C&D 3.0LTT CT6
  11. First of all BMW is well known to underrate their vehicles for the sake of hierarchy. Furthermore the numbers: RWD Curb weight: 4385 lb PERFORMANCE: NEW Zero to 60 mph: 4.8 sec Zero to 100 mph: 11.9 sec Zero to 130 mph: 21.6 sec Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 5.6 sec Top gear, 30-50 mph: 2.9 sec Top gear, 50-70 mph: 3.5 sec Standing ¼-mile: 13.4 sec @ 105 mph Top speed (mfr's est.): 155 mph Braking, 70-0 mph: 159 ft Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.86 g Cadillac CT6 AWD Curb weight: 4371 lb C/D TEST RESULTS: Zero to 60 mph: 5.0 sec Zero to 100 mph: 12.2 sec Zero to 140 mph: 26.6 sec Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 6.7 sec Top gear, 30-50 mph: 3.1 sec Top gear, 50-70 mph: 3.5 sec Standing ¼-mile: 13.5 sec @ 105 mph Top speed (governor limited, C/D est): 155 mph Braking, 70-0 mph: 152 ft Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.86 g The Cadillac's numbers are actually more impressive for a few reasons. 1) The BMW is BROKEN-IN with over 7000 miles. CT6 was pretty much off the carrier. 2) The Cadillac is AWD and still 14lbs lighter. Engineering FEAT!!! 3) The Braking on the CT6 beats the BMW by 7 ft. Again.. impressive 4) I continue to wonder why ENTHUSIAST use 0-60 when 1/4 Mile times are avail.. but even in that.. the CT6 pretty much equals the BMW... again.. in a brand new vehicle not one broken in 7000+ miles Why is the broken in period important? Well.. in a GM vehicle especially.. their cars simply get faster as U clock on miles. U might call me crazy but I bet good money that my Impala now.. with 55K on the ODO can take down a new Camaro or Mustang V6. I won't even get into transmission learning.
  12. Dude.. are U really arguing these points? I wasn't saying the TTV6s didn't. But the VAST argument that some come up with is that that they would rather have a V8, NA (and I was certainly taklking about the LT1 in performance apps) over the LF4, for instance in the ATS-V. My whole t5hought this entire tread is that it should be OPTIONAL.. and avail for those who do. I have driven both the Alpha applications of the LF4 and LT1.. I personally thought seat of the pants yielded similar results.. the instrument tests out there show the same , buuuuuuuuut.. some still just want to say that they have a V8... so why not give it to them.. and make them pay for it?
  13. I'm not saying it doesn't.. I'm just sayin that in the mean time we shouldn't be made to wait for a V8 when they have a perfectly PERFECT V8 available in various sizes 5.3L to 6.2L S/C. We are talking 355HP/383lbs up to 650HP/650lbs. The Cadillac brand cannot afford another growing pains NorthStar debacle. That engine was not bettered until 10 years after it debuted. The Ecotecs and LT1-LT4 are already pretty damn perfect. Again.. I am a strong advocate for Cadillac having its own engines.. Turbo-charged preferably. I stand by the idea that in terms of the limited use V8s... the company one is perfect enough. Makes zero sense that the two most expensive CAddys have a SBC in them.. but the less expensive ones are too good for that same engine. I hear NO ONE complaining about the power or nvh of the 6.2L, forced air or NA
  14. Exactly.. I am still hoping Cadillac keeps allocations low for '17. SPread some of that VSeries romp over to the CT6. That car is begging for a V8. And quite frankly.. could do well to skip the planned TTv8 altogether and simply have the LT1 and LT4 as the go to engines for the VSport and VSeries. Bottom line is f@#k no-nothing elitist enthusiasts who kno zero about engines except how to push the button to make them turn on.. put the SMALL BLOCK in these Cadillacs and keep it moving (ATS-V included)
  15. Alpha is not cursed.. its just rightfully so.. more expensive than the Sigma and Zeta platforms it replaces. People want to see massive sales, but U aren't going to see that from a NICHE platform that even in its cheapest form comes in at $30K. The only way GM will see massive sales from Alpha is to pretty much make it so full of variants we can't see straight. At this point.. sales on that platform need to come off of a new purpose built SS Impala or better yet.. Chevelle, a Riviera, a ATS Coupe, wagon, sedan, a sub.. (sorry Dfelt and Balthazar) ATS model with, a Saturn Sky type Cadillac sports car and a few RWD Cadillac CUVs. The Camaro simply is not gonna garner same sales as the Mustang without securing the Mustang's 35% Fleet mix. The ATS isn't gonna sell in 3/4Series numbers without also having a diesel, a convertible, a coupe, a wagon, a hybrid, and a vSeries of those coupes, wagons, sedans, and convertibles.. and did I forget actually be established into a segment Cadillac really hasn't TRIED before. CTS needs to be on Omega.. because this is a thing BMW got right when they moved the 5Series over to the 7Series platform. The 5Series is essentially the SWB 7Series. The CTS(CT5) should be the SWB CT6 This.. Absolutely This. The CTS-V and the Escalade possess a great deal of what would make a helluva sales romp happen over at Cadillac IF.. GM would just realize that the OHV V8 should be in everything they make in one form or another.. only exception maybe being the XT5.. and even that should get a TTV6 with minimum 400HP asap. This also reinforces why Cadillac needs to do a V edition of the Escalade. I would take a fully loaded ESV Platinum V edition now. Would love to have my escalade as is with that extra supercharged power! At this point.. just for profits and novelty. I could see a 550HP Escalade. 640HP in an Escalade would have GM on trial for MANSLAUGHTER weekly.. guaranteed.
  16. This..
  17. That would mean that approx 1000, like mine, went out the door at around $100K.. Even better is that thsoe numbers are spread globally.. and I won;t constantly have to run into some schmuck in the same car as me..
  18. I agree that 99.9% of people will not be able to tell the difference between the 15HP but I bet a butt load of folks could tell the difference between a V8 and V6. Yet the exhaust system does give it a very nice note! Yes the cost is there, but I like the pull of a v8 over a v6 everyday. Yup.. if someone told me that I could get an upgraded LT1 in the ATS-V over the LF4 TTV6 even for another $3500, I'd be on it like a bug on a light. Frankly the LT1 should be a Cadillac engine as well, simply upgraded, with the LF4 really used strictly for foreign markets where displacement is taxed. In no way does Cadillac really NEED a TTV8 when they have this engine and the LT4 at its disposal. It really makes no sense.. GM is like.. "YEAH.. we put the OHV in out $100K CTS-V and $90K Escalade.. but can't put it in the ATS, CTS, and CT6 cause its not worthy of the brand" whaaaaaaat
  19. Nope.. I'm not. What I will say is that CORSA charges $1900 for the exhaust (Cat-Back) on many retail/online site and U still have to pay someone at least $200-400 to install if U don't.. (and who we kidding??? Most so called enthusiasts CAN'T) install it yourself. Its not just for the ponies.. but the sound. I know a guy who just put Billy Boats on his C7 because he felt as tho the NPP GM exhaust, even with baffles open 100% was not loud enough. $2100 right now on Mid-America Why not sell a more aggressive exhaust from the factory or dealer.. and make those scraps yourself? Again.. the exhaust is optional.. Again the system would include installation.. Again.. the 15HP is in addition to the 464 or 480HP (LT1) already in the car.. meaning a 2017 ATS-V with 464+15= 479HP or 480 (LT1)+ 15= 495HP from the factory/dealer. Please keep in mind the average buyer of these.. other Vs, Ms, AMGs, Corvettes etc.. are paying on average about $3000 in mods after purchase. Some engine.. some suspension.. some appearance.
  20. That ground effects package is lite enough.. and still classy enough that it should just be the way the car comes in all trims (except VSeries which already gets it). The ATS starts at $34,000 now. This effects package would only add another $500 (GM costs) to the price It really is at that point that Cadillac stop messin around and do right by this model. I've driven M3s, M4s, last gen CAMGs, and IS-Fs... the ATS even in 2.0L form damn near triumphs them all.. let alone the VSeries. This car deserves a better send off before the CT3/4 arrives. First.. kill the 2.5L. There simply isn't any plausible reason why its offered outside of offering a cheaper and justified reason to have a cheaper Caddy on the lot. That the fuel economy/cost is exactly the same.. sans the fact that one takes Premium and the other takes regular. Cost to fill a 2.5 is $37.. the 2.0L??? $8 more. Come on.. if U can't afford that.. buy a Cruze. Engine options: 2.0L as base. 272HP 3.6L as mid 340HP (kill this when the CT3/4 arrives in favor of a 3.0L TT with 350HP even if U have to publish BS numbers and say its only 340 for insurance sake) 3.6L TT LF3 as .. yup.. VSport 390HP. Just do it.. stop playing around. Ain't that many ATS-Vs being sold as a reason why U wouldn't want this to be on the streets to takes from its sales. 3.6L TT 464HP or.. optional (meaning people who want it.. pay for it)$3500 LT1 V8 with 480HP Let's be clear.. this extra 15 HP can be achieved cheaply by Cadillac via a Tune, and a ported throttle body. I would also start selling from the dealership.. installed (WHATTA DEAL!!!!) a cat-back Corsa exhaust systemor GM built system that boasted the HP another 15. Price?$1900 Installed
  21. But for real tho.. outside of the VSeries version.. this should be the way the ATS looks for the next two years of its life.. The extended bottom via spoiler does a wonder of greatness to the front
  22. so no lost of posts in the change over?
