thats not what i was saying at all... I'm just saying... Cadillac needs to be the most pestiguous vehicles on the road... so... in making a CLK type of car seems to water down cadillacs image... allow another brand to handle the near luxury... and let cadillac use other cars to define to the industry what luxuary means...

people will buy anything, but GM cares too much about volume to worry about a tiny nitch like the scions are... you've got to remember the cobalt itself outsells the entires scion brand... the Aveo has a 40% market share in the compact market, over competators like the scion xA... or whatever else... Scion is probably just getting started, but it needs to stop before they get too many rolling toasters in too many accidents also to add to that... the HHR almost made the xB's sales for only half a year... on its initial year... with 41k units, and the Scioun was only 54k after a few years in the business... the HHR is just getting started... so much for a toaster on wheels... lets toast the toaster in sales

I've got a question... How much did Nissan's 02 Altima Jump start their business? I understand it really took the car market by storm everyone wanted one, at least around here... Do you think if GM had a car that hit home as much as that... like the Aura is a nice looking car, but how much will it cost...? I'm thinking other people will be in the same boat, they are like ohh wow thats a nice car, must be expensive... and if GM hits the price tag well... saturn will have a hit and run

again... it'll be avalible on LT2, LT3, and LTZ... it wont be standard as it isnt on the Tahoe... According to what we learned at Chevy, the Avalanche will be the fosterchild of E85.... This will be the vehicle that gets major advertising regaurding the E85 capable...

haha... to reduce road noises there isnt any spray on fixes... it'll probably be quite expensive... its probably better to turn up the radio
-
I was talking with an officer out here, and they said Cali isnt interested in any of the Charger cars due to they are too powerful... so i think to myself... (this is why you are driving a ford huh :AH-HA_wink: ) haha and maybe this is why GM thinks it worth while to enter a v6 into the marketplace  Tooo Soon Jr... lol i think they are helpless against monster v8's like my trans am... hopefully GM will sell some impalas to the police... that would be nice to get a contract or two back
-
i think they have a different hood, and we havent got a look at the front, so I surmise the front bumper grill is also different GM doesnt really have pictures of it yet... some of the pictures they showed us yesterday was of the old one... I was under the impression the rear window was retractable now instead of removeable... and the picture they showed us at the ride and drive was the same hardware that it currently had... so There will be no more claddling... a survey that was taken some 80% didnt like it anyway...
-
ohh yea... 4.8 tahoe models will be stripper models... the 4.8 wont include Active fuel management, and the engine will be rated at 290 hp and 290 tq... should reduce the LS tahoe price considerably...
-
they will be offering some 22's from GM Acessory... GM says GMT800 rims will not fit... although the bolt pattern is the same, the offset is differnt...
-
hate to rain on everyones party but we have recieved about 65 already... sold about 15 so far... anyone in so cal want to come take a look... we are probably your place to stop... let me know whats up
-
i've seen one on our used lot... with an 8.1... other then that nothing... it looks the same as the tahoe or suburban, but i think the hood is different...
-
okay, we got a few bits of info about the tahoe suburban avalanche... didnt really get into the suburban much but the avalanche was touched on a bit... no Avalanche 3/4 ton... we all knew that... the 6000 LD had 353 hp and 374tq i think... (estimates) this has the active fuel management... umm i think this is an iron block... then there is another 6000 that doesnt have the active fuel management that will be in the 3/4 ton suburban that will have 350 hp and 370 tq... about the same as the other one... but for some reason its more of a heavy duty motor... we checked out some of the stablitrac stuff... and that is amazing... they tried to roll the damn thing on purpose to show us how it worked wow no wonder that stablitrac is rated second for safety only to the seatbelt.... lol, there are a few things that need to be fixed on the new tahoe but for the most part... its all good... or like the Eaton automatic rear locking differental equipt 2wd tahoe outperformed the toyota sequoia 4wd in traction... really intresting...
-
lol the deisel wont be in the avalanche sub or tahoe for a while... but they are working on it... it wont be a duramax but we'll get a chevy desiel 5.3 or 5.4 or something in subs and tahoes in a year or two... but currrently the duramax was supposed to be on everything, the subs, tahoes and silverados, maybe the avalanche, but the duramax production capacity is maxxed and... all we are getting is silverados and some express cargo vans...
-
both of their exteriors are based on the original clay molding... soo... they are both identical as far as thats concerned... but small details... the silver one had cross drilled brake rotors... thats one thing i noticed....
-
the camaro... doesnt need a huge trunk, but the mustang is way tooo small... if the camaro got how much it got on the 4th gen convertable, it shouldnt be too bad... but it shouldnt be much smaller... my 4th gen i can carry things much bigger due to the hatchback... i took a bunch of appliances home in mine, that didnt fit in my moms camry... soo... there i love that feature...
-
wow... how long will something like that last... social security is due to be bankrupt pretty soon... japan is much smaller though..
-
last time i checked we have 1 hhr... usually doesnt last too long... we have about 10 cobalts, about 10 aveos, 3 malibus, 0 impalas, 1 monte carlo, about 15 equinoxes, 20 trail blazers, about 60 '06 tahoes, about 60 '07 tahoes, about 100 silverados, 4 suburbans... ohh 1 corvette... thats sounds about like our inventory... we dont sell very many cars at all... we deal with mostly hispanic familys with the need to carry a lot of passengers

Too bad Saturn and GM can't build a good car like
Newbiewar replied to haypops's topic in Heritage Marques
this just shows that the outside of a vehicle reflects peoples expectations on the mechanical... -
shhh.... dont say his name, i think he uses the search button to find threads where he's talked about

in 1937 pontiac put out a slogan every car built to last 100,000 miles... 70 years later, they have only doubled it... is sad... but its true most cars dont last much past 135k... -
according to the encylcopedia theta is the saturn vue and the equinox... and the lambda is this... what brands are getting a lambda?
-
ohh... right... thats what i mean... then whats the theta platform? the only new platform that i was aware of was the crossover platform which is the lambda right? whats the theta?
-
i think this is a bad thing for hyundai... they've been doing well in the US market... but one thing i really wish they'ed eat into Toyota's sales...
-
buick is more for refinement, i dont think its a bad thing that it outclasses cadillac... it gives people more of a reason to purchase a buick...the buick enclave should be cheaper then the SRX but atleast just as nice... but again i thought this was a theta...?
