that was the plan... but because they rushed it into production, they saved that design for a few more years originally it was supposed to have a new style of suspension in which they could deepen the beds while keeping the hieght of the truck the same, in addition they would do the same with the SUV's allowing them to have the fold flat seats...

like lutz comented...What you see is pretty much what you get, the only thing that wouldnt be in a production model would be the center isle/cosole thing... and the alumium door trim type stuff...

the reason people are selling their shares is because it lost one of its greatest assets... a 8.5+% dividend... that was phanominal now for sure its a long term only stock... but now that york is abord, i think the stock will soon bottom and will consistantly rise, expecially with the old PR guy back on the line... so i'll try to buy some with whatever money i can muster

its really annoying, but like i posted over at CZ28.com their prius owners are probably chanting that... they are like you promised me 60 mpg... "I WANT MY MPG!"

i havent noticed any extra traffic at the dealer... although i've noticed more people cross shopping us against toyota, which is either good or really bad i'm not sure... and i really am pissed about the perceived quality of toyota, cause i cant argue it... cause then it just pisses customers off... i can simply point to the JDPA sticker on the window to say our heavy duty trucks are best in class, but thats about it...

those are the right wheels... goto www.Cadillac-bls.com and watch the movie... nice looking car, how much would this vehicle cost? isnt this the first Luxuary sedan? and how big is it compared to the CTS or STS? wow this thing must be pretty cheap to offer optional leather... how do you call it a luxuary sedan if it doesnt come standard with leather? and 4 engine choices? with the best one being a 2.8 turbo v6 putting out 255 hp? i like the desiel idea though... give us dsl here in the USA, not as a cadillac though, dsl reminds me of dirt for some reason...

Toyota doesnt know muscle... my parents toyota camary v6 with 194 hp seems as sluggish as a 142 hp HHR... or cobalt... Toyota's transmissions suck all the power out of their engines... either that or thier engines are over rated.

its not really the car itself, its the pricipal of the thing... if one artist helps design a car that people around the world are excited about, what are they going to do when they get to design the mainstream vehicles? what about the company as a whole... when some good press comes of a model that you help make, wouldnt you put more pride into future models... so even if the camaro only sells 100k a year, will we have exciting impalas and malibus and cobalts to follow, i bet so... look at how much attention the C6 got, now look we are getting a camaro? what will be next a rwd imapla? ... i must be hollucinating

Global warming always occurs, thats why i laugh when people say its brought by the automobile... and to follow global warming is an ice age... always... thats just the way it is... there was smog prior to the automobiles exisitance...

go saturn! haha pontiac dealerships wont get the last laugh on this set of twins... most people like the sky better anyway... GM really ought to penalize dealerships that dont sell vehicles quickly... i suppose it doesnt matter if the premium vehicles get sold within a few days, but if it sits there... GM ought to give it to another dealership that will be more greatful for the vehicle.

probably the same was the first said about the fuel injection system.... hybrids dont need to work off of batterys... i didnt say Toyota had the best idea... GM's hybrids have less dependancy on the inefficenent battery

hrmmm well technically, that would reduce the sticker price... because inside the stickerprice is the local and national advertisement budgets... soo... technically 200million dollars should reduce the sticker price... well between 700,000k units... should reduce the price of each vehicle 285$... if evenly spread between buick and pontiac

how did i get it wrong?

Hummer and Saab have no real assets, Saab's are starting to be rebadged opels anyway... at least in europe, and here... well, its just a few extra bucks for gm... Hummer isnt even made by GM... its just a brand name, the most recognizeable name in the USA, its not going anywhere... GM learned from Olds... they still havent recouped that money, combining GMC-PONTIAC-BUICK also makes for a more difficult closure of a brand, but the sales wont be retained... Lutz is already doing the clean up of brands, York can just take care of the books and make GM's processes leaner and more efficent... York can help GMAC to become investment grade, sell off some assets and get some liquid cash to get better loans...

no matter the product, hybrid technology should be applied... what is the point of letting energy leave the vehicle without trying to retain some of it? example... while the engine is idling its not doing anything but wasting fuel, while the car is stopping all that inertia should be converted into energy, yet for 100 years it was just allowed to dissapate into heat. cars could be a lot more efficent and ecconomical, just strides like hybrid technology need to be taken... not saying the prius is a good design... but the idea is good... even if GM went to E85, hybrid technology could still be used in that as well.. Hybrid technology shouldnt be going anywhere... even with the fuel cell... hybrid technology should still exist...

to say the least, my 133 hp elantra with a manual tranny! couldnt get any better then 27 mpg on the freeway, i averaged 24-26mpg... to say the least, i got 26.99mpg on my AUTOMATIC ls1... brother has a toyota matrix and says he's never seen above 26 mpg... so that goes your corolla 30/38...

the funny thing is... i saw that comercial like last june when the car was launched...

thats what i was going to suggest... but... it doesnt look like its a very good way to transport things...
