Since Vue is now defunct, and they already had the full fledged hybrid in it, I can see no reason why it cannot be applied in Equinox. But of course it is GM.

There is always tomorrow.

Do it. Just let it out and get over with it and move on. Life is too small and precious to be venting about mistakes others have made consistently. It is their loss.

Tell me how the spirit can be moved? So that we can try to move it to spit some cold fire.

Cold blooded ripping is your forte, go for it. But it will be banging the head against granite.
-
Yes, it has to be for small trips - your second or third car. Taking it even for a 300 miles round trip will be like shooting in the face. And I am not a tall and big guy either.

+1 on Solstice Targa. When I test drove it, it drove so well. The only things which I will improve is: 1. Make it livable 2. Stiffen up the suspension - personal taste- feels a little bit mushy 3. Put a 6 speed
-
And over-expensive.

[source: Motortrend] Comparison: 2009 BMW M5 vs 2009 Cadillac CTS-V Mirror, Mirror: The $89,325 Munich Benchmark vs. the $60,700 Motown Doppelganger. Which is the Fairest Supersedan of Them All? FIRST PLACE: Cadillac CTS-V Glitzy exterior and cabin plus some finish issues detract from premium feel, but delivers where it counts. A Corvette ZR1 in four-door attire -- and a bargain to boot. SECOND PLACE: BMW M5 Masterfully executed, but priced accordingly. Handling not on par with BMW's best, though, and V-10 power no match for Caddy's supercharged V-8.

I hope GM markets the guts out of this news.

Any reply yet?

4-allmemory.com is a good website too. Located in Mo, they have served me excellently.

What I meant was there should be no political sniping. Yes this thread borderlines on being political, but let us not go into which party or which politician is better or worse.

[source: Autosport] Chevrolet Cruze Takes First Pole and Victory in World Touring Car Championship Huff clinches Cruze's first victory Rob HuffRob Huff converted yeseterday's maiden pole position for the Chevrolet Cruze into the car's first victory in the opening World Touring Car race at Marrakech this afternoon. The Briton made a solid job of the rolling start and was able to hold the flock of factory SEAT Leons at bay into the first corner. Huff was able to control the race thereafter, just over a second clear of runner-up Gabriele Tarquini throughout. Tarquini pulled clear of his SEAT team-mate in second as Yvan Muller struggled to match the pace of the pair ahead. Muller fell a couple of seconds back and eventually surrendered the final podium place to Jordi Gene. Tiago Monteiro completed the train of four SEATs in fifth place, with only Rickard Rydell absent. The Swede made a great start from his lowly 12th on the grid but his race lasted only until the second corner where he hit the back of Jorg Muller's BMW and spun. Muller himself had just hit the back of Alain Menu's Chevrolet as the field packed into the tight corner. Menu continued to finish seventh, just behind team-mate Nicola Larini, and Muller followed him home in eighth. Local driver Mehdi Bennani had a great run to ninth place in his privately-entered SEAT Leon, while Andy Priaulx completed the top 10. The only other incident of the race was when Tom Coronel got his SUNRED SEAT sideways and clouted the barrier with two laps to go after taking too much kerb in the chicane on the back straight. Jorg Muller and Menu will share the front row for this afternoon's reverse grid race, ahead of Larini and Monteiro.

Just letting everyone know in advance that this is NOT a political thread, so let us keep the politics out of the picture as much as we can.

[source: MotorAuthority] Lotus reveals new photos of Evora ahead of June launch Many Celebrities on the Waiting List The wraps first came off the Lotus Evora 2+2 GT back in July 2008 but despite the car looking production-ready Lotus engineers had plenty of fine tuning to complete before the car could finally go on sale. Then, almost nine months later, Lotus finally confirmed the production specifications for the Evora and announced a launch date for this May. That date got bumped to June, but the car is finally on its way - for Europe at least. To ramp up excitement for the launch, Lotus has released a new set of images of the Evora, revealing the interior and several new exterior shots. The Evora will go on sale in Europe this June as a 2010 model with a starting price of €50,412 for the basic two-seater model. Opt for the 2+2 seating configuration and buyers will have to pay an additional €3,000. No word on a U.S. launch has been announced yet but already some big name celebrities, both here and abroad, have announced interest in it. On the list are Jay Leno, Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, London Mayor Boris Johnson, musician Jay Kay, Richard Hammond and James May, Beyoncé, Dave Grohl, George Clooney, Kevin Spacey and Patrick Dempsey - to name just a few. To kick off the sales launch, Lotus will be releasing a special version built in a limited run of just 450 cars. Called the 'Lotus Evora Launch Edition', the special version will be available in either Ardent Red or British Racing Green, and come with 2+2 seating, silver cast alloy wheels, an Alpine stereo, bi-xenon headlights and a reversing camera as standard. The final specs for the car include a 3.5L petrol V6 producing 276hp (206kW) and 252lb-ft (342Nm) of torque. Straight line performance is impressive, with the zero to 100 km/h sprint taking place in just over 5 seconds with a top speed of over 260km/h. Official fuel economy figures for Europe are 19mpg (12.4L/100km) in the city and 36mpg (6.5L/100km) on the highway. Standard features include a six-speed manual transmission, optimal shift time indicator, Bilstein dampers, 18in wheels up front and 19in wheels in the rear, a Bosch electronic differential lock, twin airbags, four-piston AP racing brakes, 350mm ventilated discs, halogen headlights, Recaro leather seats, aluminum trim, and an Alpine stereo. Optional goodies include a 7in touchscreen display with satellite navigation, Bluetooth and USB connection, rear parking sensors and a camera, a titanium sports exhaust tailpipe, an engine oil cooler, a sports diffuser and an engine pack with enhanced throttle response.

[source: Autoblog] CHEVROLET ANNOUNCES NEW 2010 CORVETTE GRAND SPORT The Package Returns After More than a Decade of Hiatus BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Grand Sport. It's one of the most storied monikers in Corvette's illustrious racing heritage and it is returning the lineup. Chevrolet announced the new, 2010 Corvette Grand Sport at the 12th annunal C5/C6 Corvette Birthday Bash, held at the National Corvette Museum, in Bowling Green, Ky. The new Grand Sport model combines the Corvette's LS3-based powertrain with unique, wide-body styling and a racetrack-bred suspension for a distinctive, starting grid-ready performer. It is offered in both coupe and convertible body styles, with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The LS3 6.2L engine is rated at 430 horsepower (321 kW)* and 424 lb.-ft. of torque (575 Nm)* with the standard exhaust system. An optional two-mode exhaust system elevates the power ratings to 436 horses (325 kW) and 428 lb.-ft. (580 Nm). The Grand Sport replaces the Corvette's previous Z51 package and brings a greater degree of handling performance, with wider wheels and tires; revised shock, stabilizer bar and spring specifications and specific gearing. The equipment enables cornering capability of 1.0 g, as well as a 0.2-second improvement in 0-60 acceleration vs. standard LS3-powered models. Grand Sport coupe models equipped with the manual transmission are uniquely outfitted for racetrack competition, too, with a dry-sump oiling system, differential cooler and a rear-mounted battery. The complete list of content and special features for the Grand Sport includes: Wider front and rear fenders – including specific front fenders with integrated Grand Sport badges Z06-style front splitter and tall rear spoiler Functional brake ducts and extra cooling Unique 18-inch front and 19-inch wheels; painted finish standard and chrome finish optional Large 275/35ZR18 tires in front and 325/30ZR19 tires in the rear Z06-size brakes, including 14-inch (355 mm) front rotors with six-piston calipers and 13.4-inch (340 mm) rear rotors with four-piston calipers Specific manual transmission gear ratios Specific rear axle ratio on automatic-equipped modles With its special equipment, the Grand Sport offers a unique blend of performance and amenities. Its suspension package approaches that of the Z06, but includes a removable roof on coupes (Z06 has a fixed roof) and, of course, the availability of a convertible body style. Also, the paddle-shift six-speed automatic transmission is offered, while a manual transmission is the only choice with the Z06. All of Corvette's exterior colors are offered on the Grand Sport and an available Heritage package adds iconic front fender hash marks offered in four colors, as well as two-tone seats with Grand Sport embroidery. The Grand Sport can be ordered with 1LT, 2LT, 3LT and 4LT trim packages, too. Grand Sport history Envisioned by legendary Corvette engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov as a factory-built, lightweight and race-ready production model that would trump domestic and foreign road-racing competitors, the original Corvette Grand Sport was a promising idea stymied by GM's agreement to stay out of manufacturer-backed motorsports. The planned 125 production models required for racing-class homologation were never built, but five prototypes based on the styling of the 1963 Corvette were hand-assembled under Duntov's watchful eye. And while they looked like production models, the prototypes were purpose-built racecars that shared little with their assembly-line cousins. Duntov also oversaw the Grand Sport engine program that featured a special, 377-cubic-inch small-block V-8 and used side-draft carburetors. Although never officially sanctioned by General Motors, the five Grand Sport prototypes saw extensive racing experience throughout the 1960s in the hands of "private" racers who had strong contacts within Duntov's engineering circle. All five original cars are accounted for today and are among the most valuable in the collector market. Chevrolet offered a limited-edition Grand Sport production model in 1996, commemorating the original racing cars and marking the end of the C4 era in Corvette production. All of the 1,000 examples were painted Admiral Blue and featured a white center stripe and red "hash mark" graphics on the left front fender, a graphic scheme that mimicked the look of some of the original racecars. *SAE certified.

Yes. There are two HHR SS - one black and one red - sitting on the lot of the Chevy Dealer just a block away from me, who left me a bad taste while I was shopping for the Cobalt SS.

So true. If you compare it to this Or This It looks much better.

After nearly 100k miles on it. I do not regret the decision to buy it from my Foster Mom. It has been a great vehicle. The only reason I have two cars is that I cannot see it go.

For RS package offers wider rear tires and summer only tires, which will be gummier than the regular all weather 18/19" found on LTs. Hence the statement.

Opel Insignia Roars to Top of Mid-Size Class in Europe
Z-06 replied to THTom's topic in General Motors
The last I heard was indeed GM was planning to bring Regal to slot beneath the LaCrosse. Since FH has made it public that Buick is profitable, it would be a suicide if the car is not brought sooner. -
Keep faith guys. There might be darkness now and around the corner, but that does not mean future would hold the same. The situation deteriorated spirally, and it will be a while before it can improve. A great Mongol King once said, "These Days Will Go Too."

I can say one thing, Accord has $3000 on the hood here in C-FL along with 0.9% financing. Which is unheard of for any Honda.
