  1. Does he belong to the Alzheimer club too? Although I have to say that his rant sounds like a Beethoven symphony compared to the character who rants GM and humps Boobs Move Weiners. He will be bitching about Camaro before everybody.
  2. Z-06

    OH My God

    :rotflmao: Reg, good one buddy.
  3. Oh some Alzheimer cult members will still Bitch despite having no memory of their beloved 69 'Maro.
  4. The concern should not hold any water. Just relax and shag one more time in the name of the G8 ST.
  5. DO IT!! BUY IT!!! Did I do the job of talking you out of it?
  6. That argument holds water only if all the Camaro sells comes from ex-Camaro owners and they despise the set up. The car may grab some attention to the teenagers whose parents will not have money for a Vee Six or some pretenders who will buy the car for looks and not for its capabilities or even first time import converts who want to save money on gas. I think the idea is worth trying. If it bombs the first year GM can discontinue it. 2.0T DI is a very capable engine, and if you want RWD V-8 to be saved then we should accept these adjustments. I am pretty sure I am not going to buy one with a 4-cylinder but someone else will certainly and if that saves my V-8 I would give that sacrifice.
  7. Frank, what is in the G8 GT?
  8. If you are talking to the European drivers of Audi and BMW then for them even a 125hp engine is like Ashley Alexandra Dupre. Not here we need power and handling.
  9. As a previous gen TSeX owner, I am disappointed in this vehicle. I want to like it, but I cannot. Sure it may be a great handler, but please do not put performance in the same vein as looks and list of features, as it is not a performance machine.
  10. I guess Mercedes Benz may be ruing for not bringing the A class soon.
  11. May I know the reason why? So that you can sit on Grand Central station with a pot begging for extra pennies?
  12. I read somewhere this thing is going to be sold late next year. What excuse GM has in brining this out so late? Are they running out of engineers to perform tests? How much testing does this need to justify the need? GM needs to hurry. It works like Senate here.
  13. I like its stance and is quite elegant. Not a bad looking car at all. Like Ol...boi said looks like a good TL.
  14. Read the bitches whining in the blog. Pathetic!
  15. P-C-S certainly will.
  16. That answers the stigma. Even GM took off the manuals from the GMT 900s. It is more profit for the manufacturers to shove automatics into people. 1. By making crummy manuals. 2. By offering less horsepower with the manual version (e.g. GMT 800 Silverado HD diesel in 2004-06) 3. By not keeping any manual transmission on the lots were one of many strategies that diverted the customers to look into automatics.
  17. +1. One of the most enticing concept of modern times. No doubt it is a very good execution.
  18. And owns close to 50% cars in that mode.
  19. See W-bodies have been source of inspiration, and we despise that platform.
  20. Hind sight is always 20-20. But the fact is GM created the car and rushed to the market to revitalize the RWD and GM as a whole, as Camino said. The main botch was that it should have gotten that additional 50hp from start and should have sat about 2k lower in price. Call it coincidence, but Mustang GT hastened GTO's demise along with outrageous markups.
  21. If you compare the structural rigidities of Coupe, Targa and Convertible at equal weights. Assuming 1 for structural rigidity for coupes, the targa and convertible is about 0.95 and 0.8 respectively. The reason Targa closer to the coupe's rigidity compared to being in between is because the existence of the B pillar makes it a rigid structure. The addition of permanent roof (coupe) to the Targa makes the structure more indeterminate thus more rigid. Hence, even if it is a Targa, the weight should go.
  22. Kudos for bringing a RWD. I wished they put some originality in design. I think GM, Ford and Chry should look into their rearview mirrors for this vehicle. Alpha could not have come soon enough.
  23. Agreed, but you do not need the heavier torsional rigidity bars which run along sides on a convertible in a coupe. Cayman was derived from Boxter. Yet it is lighter compared to Boxter.
  24. More close to 8-9%. I think 1 in every 12 cars.
