  1. Happy Canada Day. Bon ve vont. . God save the Queen.
  2. Was at a Border recently and picked up a coffee table book with 100 years of GM cars. It's a great read with lots of great pictures of GM cars throughout the century and good historical information on the company. It was $20 at Borders. if you find it, grab it. It's a good read.
  3. Thanks. It's tough all over.
  4. I like my Acadia. It's nice. Gets good mileage for what it is, can tow the boat if I need it to. I'm not sure it is worthy of the GMC badge, but I liked the more masculine style over the Enclave. The final feature that made me choose the Acadia over the Enclave and Outlook was the LED taillamps on the Acadia. Those are worth their weight in gold, in my opinion. I think this is a relavant vehicle, but if its being repeated over at Saturn, Chevy, and Buick, then GMC does not need it. With the impending doom on the auto industry, I can see GM just cancelled GMC as a whole since Chevrolet has gone so far upmarket.
  5. Congrats no the new car for your wife. I hope she enjoys it.
  6. Congrats on the new ride CC.
  7. I'm here. Just not posting lately. I've been in a dark place with all that has gone on and don't want to bring that to the board. It's far too good a place for that. I appreciate the thoughts. The automotive world has sure gotten ugly lately. Scary.
  8. I think its smart for Nissan to keep the Max as a Nissan because it is front wheel drive. Infiniti is the premium rear drive division, and they should not dilute that brand with a front wheel drive model. If they did, people would be bitching and moaning. Keep the Max a Nissan, and give us a car under the G35 with rear drive.
  9. Perfectly aware of the age of weather and climate (~<150 years old) . There are so many big problems in the USA and Canada that it seems like mental masturbation for politicians to take on a problem that scientists are more equipped to educate the world on.
  10. Weather and Climate are sciences. Not politics.

Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for posting that pic.
  13. Are there websites like this for the other GM brands?

    Facial Hair

Interesting. I always have facial hair. I have not been shaved clean since I can remember. In the winter I grow a full beard, and in the summer/spring I have a vandyke or a goatee. Sometimes I "wing" the goatee and do some designs and curves with the sides of it, other times its just straight down around my mouth and chin line. If I grow the goatee, then I grow it long, and with a shaved head I look like something out of Metallica.

Oh hell, that's pretty nice. I didn't know about the Pontiac version. Cool.

    Hmm ...

Any pics of the Pontiac version on the net I wonder?

    Hmm ...

I didn't realize that. I just thought it was a trim level I thought it had the same 305 that was optional in the base El Camino.

    Hmm ...

I thought that back in 79 when the RK came out. Interesting connection. Brought back good memories.
  20. Thanks FOG for posting this. I'm excited! Sounds great to me!
  21. The first Toros were the epitome of what Oldsmobile was about. Shame that has faded. Will live on my our hearts though.
  22. Great article. The G8 does shine! It's a shame what is deemed to happen with Pontiac, and the G8 has been a long time coming. Just too bad there won't be successive generations of the G8.
  23. HAHA. Dumb post above. I think what the article was saying is that Saturn is about quality over quantity. I think its time to accept that Saturn is here to stay and let the car biz experts do their thing. We are just along for the ride anyway. Saturns are good cars, and I would not call either of ours a laughable failure.
  24. Time to build an ark.
