  1. I need a new signature. Mine is tired. I can't figure out what I want. Any ideas ?
  2. Another Buick that was really beautiful was the 53 Skylark and 55 Roadmaster.
  3. Ok, so I'm at idiot for taking my buddy at face value when he was joking with me. He found this and told me he wrote it. I'd not seen it before so took him at his word. I sit here at my computer corrected for saying that he wrote it, when he did not. I apologize for any confusion. And when I say I apologize, that is directed to all races, creeds, religious/non religious beliefs, ethnicities, genders, orientations, species, phylum, etc etc.
  4. Whenever I can read people's minds, I will begin writing posts for concisiveness. Until then, what you read is what you get from posts by K.C. I have low expectations for posts from others. I take everyone's post with a grain of salt. The same should probably be done for mine.
  5. A friend of mine wrote this and sent it to me. I thought it was funny, asked his permission to share it. It was granted, so I am posting it. 10 Reasons why Gay Marriage is WRONG! <written by my buddy SD> 1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning. 2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall. 3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract. 4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal. 5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed. 6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children. 7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America. 9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children. 10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans
  6. I hope it all works out for ya. I think whether or not the old GP is up to the task is entirely up to how long your daily commute is.
  7. I was speaking of the religious mouths that speak loudly against those in the gay community. I was speaking of this based on what I have read and heard in the media, not as a generality. I did not bring up atheists because I have not heard their beliefs mentioned in the press regarding this issue. To be honest, I did not even think about the atheists while writing my posting.
  8. Best post in the whole thread here. There seems to be a lack of perspective in the U.S.A, and the main excuse seems to be religious beliefs and morals. Morals and religion are obviously tied together, because it's the word of religion leaders that seeks to control other's sexual behaviors, which are inherently instinctive in all humans. No one has to think to get "aroused". It just happens in a stimulus-reponse situation. For example, see a hot girl/guy. . get a boner. Stimulus. . response. Like race and ethnicity, there is more than one type of this attraction. There are those that prefer the outdoor plumbing, and those that prefer the indoor plumbing. Both should receive the same rights. Until everyone has the same rights, there is no freedom and those who tout the U.S.A. as a free country aren't telling the whole truth. It will continue to be freedom for only the majority.
  9. Brings a whole new meaning to choke and puke.
  10. Sorry to hear about the career news. They say education is a recession proof job, but it eventually affects most everyone. I hope your luck changes.
  11. I say stupid stuff all the time. So much so, that nobody even notices or remembers anything in particular.
  12. It's always great weather here in cowboy country!
  13. +1 to VonVeez, that's definitely an Olds.
  14. I would like to see something clean and understated as well. The Terrain has too much jagged topography. I must admit, at first I did not like the Acadia, but it has grown on me, and I like the look of it now. Upon first sight I was taken aback by the Terrain. The front end just doesn't say GMC to me at all, and the fender flares are way too overstated. Its like the designers were trying to make up for something they are lacking either in their pants or their blouses (depending on the sex). The Terrain is a mish mosh of shapes that do not make a cohesive design. I'm predicting huge rebates judging by the styling alone. And when the hell are chrome wheels going to be scrapped for painted wheels. They are so de rigeur for 2009.
  15. Gosh, there really is one born every minute.
  16. Beautiful LeSabre. I have a fondness for the full size BOF cars from this era, thought Buicks were the classiest. A friend of mine just bought a 97 Lincoln Town Car Signature, light blue/blue leather, 50K miles, beautiful condition. He let me drive it and was amazed at its condition and really liked the floaty ride. It sent me back to my childhood. Ahhh memories.
  17. So sorry to hear that DF. I lost two dogs last year. Nobody can say anything to make ya feel better, just hope you take comfort in knowin that others know the same pain of losing a pet. God speed.
  18. Well, a money shot in your eye CAN blind you.
  19. This is the automotive equivalent of a solar eclipse in that you should not look directly at it. EEEK!
  20. +1 Unfortunately, some influential folks in the religion business speak their own beliefs and say that is God's word. One minute, they say God loves everyone they next they speak of hate towards other groups that they do not agree with. They can't have it both ways. Until we all see others as people first, characteristics second. . then this world will never be equal for all. Just an aside, I realy do not like that gay emoticon. It doesnt represent gays like me. lol
  21. I thought saying Caminos name and Toyota in the same sentence was a bannable offense?
  22. Very rare, great looking car. I hope someone snatches it up and gives it a good home. I had an 88 MC SS Aerocoupe. Black with maroon interior. I wish I still had pics of it. The movers lost them in a move. I liked the GP, but I wasn't keen on the color combo or the wheels. GMTG, is that your GP?
  23. Welcome home! Thanks for what you're doin over there!
