Actually I was saying I would take the Lincoln over the Import boys if I was looking for a large SUV. Were I to buy today, I think I would take Rover for a luxury SUV...give me three please...one as a spare, one in the garage for repair, and one to provide shade by the side of the road when it is broken down... Do like the GLE though.

Thank you so much for taking this as a compliment on the Benz and not a slam on the 'Gator. Would take the 'Gator over any BMW, Lexus, Acura, or Infinity SUV for sure. ...and being a few feet smaller also would be part of my buying calculus.

Agreed, but I would still be interested in a Subaru as my next vehicle. Wrangler is awesome indeed!

Agree on the interior room issue. Range Rover is also much more attractive. Yes but the Highlander 3rd Row is a joke, actually.

Given the state of things, at times, the world you are awake to sucks even worse.

Not political in the traditional sense, the rise of the Alt right and what it means...

A husband and wife who worked for the circus went to an adoption agency. The social workers there raised doubts about their suitability. The couple then produced photos of their 50-foot motor home, which was clean and well maintained and equipped with a beautiful nursery. The social workers then raised concerns about the education a child would receive while in the couple's care. "We've arranged for a full-time tutor who will teach the child all the usual subjects along with French, Mandarin, and computer skills." Then the social workers expressed concern about a child being raised in a circus environment. "Our nanny will be a certified expert in pediatric care, welfare, and diet." The social workers were finally satisfied. They asked, "What age child are you hoping to adopt?" "It doesn't really matter ... as long as the kid fits in the cannon."

Tesla's Fast Production Hurts Quality
A Horse With No Name replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
What I am really frustrated with is our attitude towards American manufacturing. Why don't we just abdicate everything entirely to the Chinese and the Germans? This among other things...if Musk can't get it right....ughhhhh. Yes there are good American companies and I support the hell out of them every chance I can. I love the speed queen drier dfelt recommended. Wife 16 year old daughter exchange student me 24 year old son 21 year old daughter make a ton of clothes. That thing is built like a tank and gets things dry quickly. Everything that says American made should be of really high quality. I think it is more likely the French of all people would buy Tesla. I see some wisdom here...but Toyota already has battery technology...and is not burning tons of cash like Tesla.- 9 replies
