  1. So far my new Jetta has been fantastic....it is a TDI. The new VW GTI takes care of the timing chain issues (tensioner issues) of the Mk 6 GTI. Reliability has been up as of late, but I would not expect it to be Toyota or GM level perhaps quite.... However, when I bought the MINI Cooper S, I figured it would be unreliable....however...it has been orders of magnitude more reliable than my fathers Toyota Highlander....go figure....
  2. They were rather rare...and yes...I would like one!
  3. They are selling cars hand over fist...why would Chrysler be sold to VW? Besides Chrysler has an excellent understanding of the US market... VW has less of an understanding of the market than they did in 1948 when they first showed up here.
  4. They fixed a lot of what was wrong with the company. I won't be buying a Certified Pre Owned Avenger any time soon... I think they are getting the fit and finish right...interior build quality is up. As a blue collar guy, I hate tools that feel like they are built without a passion...chryco of 2008feels passionless. Chryco of 2015 is a whole different animal. Was a fan of the pre 74 stuff as a kid and a teenager. Did not like decades of k cars and such. But 2015 Chrysler feels a lot like 1970 Chrysler in a really good sort of way.
  5. The Audi A6 outsells all of Chrysler... Where are we talking...the suburbs of Paris France maybe? As for reality and the American market...
  6. Cadillacs do not look like KIA...and Balthazar is right, the above three series is dated...
  7. I also had an ohhhh crap why did I not think of that moment when I test drove the 300... The information and entertainment system is more user friendly in the Chrysler products than Ford, GM, Toyota,Honda, etc...wonder if that is driving sales? It certainly could not hurt...
  8. By 2020 Audi could outsell VW in the USA...and I am not being sarcastic...
  9. Obviously we need to look at the sales volume of the fine folks in Indiana and Ohio who are growing weed as a cash crop...because that is the only way that seems rational. When one could buy a Mazda 6 or Fusion for the same money, both of which are really nice...
  10. How did this thread get moronically off topic? VW will never buy Chrysler...not going to happen. I did test drive a 300 with the new 8 speed, the eight speed is fantastic. Also, I have had Darts as rentals, along with other Chrysler company rentals. I will say this...the era of Calibers and Avengers I spent years ranting about seems to he dead and buried. Wondering what happened, but the quality seems to be way up. Would seriously consider a Dart SXT to replace the Cooper S when the Jetta is paid off... Also like the restyle on the Charger and 300... But the pentastar V6 and 8 speed auto...that combo is the cats ass IMHO...fantastic!
  11. Charger and Regal are both neat cars...wonder why they get traded in....
  12. Glad to see them doing so well...the new 200 is fantastic! The Dart is growing on me also...
  13. Glad the GTI and Jetta are doing well....and I am loving my Jetta TDI, last two tanks were just a few tenths short of 45 MPG in city traffic....
  14. Glad to see Mazda and Chryselr up, VW needs a crossover and a smaller SUV to gain momentum,...I see lots of teh new 200's around here....nice looking car....should be a hit for them......
  15. So many better choices in that segment of the market...this is one car I hope never graces my driveway.
  16. I like it....we just bought Jetta TDI, but when we go to replace the MINI in a few years I could see this being on the short list. NICE!
  17. It is a very nice car, we looked at it recently when we bought our most recent new car. Interested also to see where this goes for 16...
  18. Exactly....the whole car looks fresh with Cadillac, much more so than with the Europeans. They should regret nothing because everything in TIME, leads to ones current position. It is true in fact that had Cadillac not stumbled in the 80s I myself might not love them as much as I do now.. because it was the failings of that era that cause them to reflect and then build the magnificent cars they do now. The use of a French song is not inappropriate since Cadillac is named after the French founder of Detroit. Learn some history,,, all of it before U speak such attempts at buzz kill My only quibble would be that magnificent might not be quite the word....watching the video and looking at the styling....the English language fails me right now....
  19. The 200 is a really nice car, deserves to see sales go up.
  20. Lincoln up three percent and Cadillac down like twelve....seems highly irrational, but hey, I just post here....
