Breaks my heart (not) to see Infinity so far down. Acura is really loosing its way also. Interesting that Audi is gaining and Cadillac is falling back.- 5 replies

Quick Drive: 2014 Volkswagen Passat SEL Premium
A Horse With No Name replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
Not really sure but I do think the next Passat might be much more attractive. However, unless your talking TDI I like the Impala better. -
August 2014: General Motors Co.

Would agree with you here. Infinity, Lincoln, and Scion also have terrible buyer retention, under 25 percent IIRC. Only Mitsubishi is worse.- 34 replies

August 2014: Audi of America

August 2014: Volkswagen of America
A Horse With No Name replied to William Maley's topic in 2014 Sales Archive
Bingo, and Beetle sales are way off also. I still stand by the idea that the Beetle is a niche car. Love the diesels and GTI, but Volkswagen will still be floundering in the American car market ten years from now. There will always be a market for diesels.- 7 replies

More wagons is a decent thing, but Volvo is so irrelevant here now that the point is probably moot.

Back again...GS style this time
A Horse With No Name replied to caddycruiser's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
Methinks some day I need to road trip and drop in for a random test drive... -
I have become the C and G curmudgeon, and I royally distrust both management and labor. Oh, and GET off of my damn lawn! In all seriousness, the only good end of this IMHO is to buy a VW built in Pueblo Mexico and support neither the German nor American automotive unions. Assuming of course that you want a diesel, GTI, or German Camry, as that's about what VW is good for.

Diesel is just too smart of an idea to give up on.
