They are trying to move the whole Genesis line upscale. They are doing away with the four banger in the coupe and raising coupe prices.

His cars will outlast the cockroach species on this planet, methinks.

Doubtful. I read some analyst who said that Tesla was going to be broke and done by 2017. Their stock is wildly over valued right now.

Fiat News: Sergio Marchionne Asks You To Pass On The Fiat 500e
A Horse With No Name replied to William Maley's topic in Fiat
Let me clarify hate...I used to work with a guy named Tony who was a huge Cowboys fan, he just loved Dallas. We worked together for several years and I gave him crap about the Cowboys every single day...but also loved him like a brother. I do not mean to offend. Perhaps a better way of putting things would just be to say that I am frustrated by some Chrysler products that don't quite seem to get it all the way right. Followed a sweetly detailed 300C home tonight, thought of this thread. I will work on having a more open mind and being less negative. There are plenty of negative people on other forums...I will stop being an ass here. ...and I will have to check out that Durango! -

VW News: Volkswagen Plans To Shorten Product Lifecycles
A Horse With No Name replied to William Maley's topic in Volkswagen
Agree with Reg. VW is kind of a one or two trick pony right now, as the Diesels and GTI are the only really competitive products they sell. A Golf with the 2.5 is not terribly fuel efficient, but would be a reliable and decent choice in a car if one got the manual. But VW can't build an autotrajic outside of the DSG to save its ass.- 16 replies

I can understand...I think the real answer to your dillema is a used S10 and keep the beetle, but I know you don't want to do this. -

Not a FCA fan here ......we should have saved Pontiac and Saturn Durango might be an ok drive but it sure is dull inside and out I think I'd trust vw before Chrysler Pretty much this. Alright, I can obviously sense you are a FCA hater from your many, many posts but you are just plain wrong on the Durango. Wrong, wrong, wrong. It is consistently rated very well by all the car mags, FCA is selling quite a few of them and everybody I know that has one LOVES it. That includes my sister-in-law (pre-refresh 2013) and my parents (post refresh 2014). Perhaps you haven't been in one made since 2011? I personally wouldn't touch one made before that but 2011+ models are very nice. There are a number of FCA products you could rightfully refer to as a disaster but the current Durango is not one of them. In all fairness to Chryselr, no I have not been in one post 2011. Maybe I will check one out. -

Fiat News: Sergio Marchionne Asks You To Pass On The Fiat 500e

Given their product development, Fiat/Chrysler should consider making pot holders or gardening tools rather than automobiles. A Durango is pretty much a disaster, electric or gas powered. -

I bet the DTS is probably a little more user friendly if you want to take a friend to a ballgame or a woman out on a date. -
She strikes me as a very ethical person. That can only help GM at this point.

Fiat News: Sergio Marchionne Asks You To Pass On The Fiat 500e

Totally agree with this, it is only a matter of time before the union controlled FIAT will die. They are terrible quality controlled products forced on the world to just accept and deal with it. One has to wonder what sane person wants a car the size of a golf cart with the crash worthy ness of a brown paper bag. -

FTFY! -
Pretty much you also have to blame the government for printing a craplaod of money and devaluing the currency. IMHO that is as much of a factor as anything.

Charger with a police package vibe would be awesome....as would shooting a re creation of the blues brothers chase with that beast. But I would still rather have a modern Boss 302 or Z-28 than the Hellcat....

Interesting article about SUV retirement....

Very sad to See working class people lose vehicles with years of life left in them to the scrap heap. -
The Boxster S I want is also over my budget reach, even used. 64 Falcoln, maroon, 78 Z28, Blue, both tasteful pro street cars, on a flatbed parked at a local hotel. The Z had a fuel cut off switch so methinks it sees some quarter mile action...
-
There is no probably, on a proper road course the Boxster would make the Challenger look infinitely stupid. One hundred to one I would take a Boxster S over a Hellcat, even though the Hellcat is a sweet car. One also wonders if rising fuel prices are going to eventually rain on the muscle car parade. Railroads are already scrapping paid for locomotives like the SD 40, and airlines are retiring use able paid off 747 aircraft in huge numbers, both over fuel costs. If the big boys are doing this, what is going to happen to muscle cars? I mean Ford is already bringing back the four cyl turbo Mustang....

As much as I like new cars, I am a sucker for old and paid for. Being Liberty blue also does not hurt your GC one bit either, actually.
