Ohio has stupid high fuel prices....over $50 again each to tank up both the Miata and the Mini. Tesla can't get the cheaper family car here fast enough. -
DF- Sorry to say, they will probably want to total that one. Be prepared to fight! Good luck keeping her on the road. Chris

Alfa Romeo 4C Gets A Pricetag For The U.S. :Comments
A Horse With No Name replied to William Maley's topic in Alfa Romeo
I really think Z06 nailed it. -
I looked at the 200 (per the request of 2QZ) and really liked it a lot. I do not think it is a 38K car though....... But the new 200 you (Drew) were talking about really gives me some hope they could be finding their way.

Not sure what they are for. I would like to see more options for people with physical handicaps to fuel their vehicles. -

This may happen. Scuttlebutt in the Miata community is now the roadster co developed between Mazda and Alfa will be marketed in the US as a Fiat...perhaps under the Abarth moniker. -

Porsche Cayman S is an infinitely better car and starts 5k lower. Like the looks of the Alfa, but at 70 K...I would take a C7 or an Evora. -

GM's V6 is The Little Engine That Can for Five Reasons!
A Horse With No Name replied to G. David Felt's topic in Opinion
I at the very least love modern technology. Were I to still have my 55 Chevy still around, I would be dropping in GM LS series power. When you see the tremendous performance that modern tech can bring, I think the future looks very bright indeed. Can you imagine how speechless a group of car nuts would be if you could take them from say 1965 and show them the current Chevrolet lineup? Esp. the Corvette, and the prev. gen (C6) ZR1? Or let them drive a modern Escalade? They would be utterly, utterly stunned and speechless I think. Esp. when the Corvette took a road trip and topped 30 MPG....and then ran off a 200 MPH trip around a track.... The future is bright! -

Quick Drive: 2015 Subaru WRX Limited Automatic
A Horse With No Name replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
One of the reasons the regular Subies came up so far in their fuel economy was their tuning of the CVT. Really, Unless your auto-crossing or running open track and want to know exactly what the car is going to do, a CVT should be the best of all worlds.- 13 replies

Scion News: Rumorpile: No Hybrid Powertrain For The FR-S
A Horse With No Name replied to William Maley's topic in Toyota
Exactly. Now if Buick could just build a small car with the vibe of the Miata and FRS, and some GM goodness thrown in, we would be in business. Call it the Wildcat, perhaps.- 13 replies

Quick Drive: 2015 Subaru WRX Limited Automatic
A Horse With No Name replied to William Maley's topic in Reviews
Interesting question. I think we will see the death of the traditional manual in the next 5 to ten years. I would prefer something like the DSG/PDK dual clutch arrangement, but time will tell.- 13 replies
