  1. TDI and GTI are the only two golfs worth owning IMHO, and the TDI's have had issues with intercooler icing on the turbo's and High Pressure fuel pump failure on the Bosh fuel pumps....
  2. It's a very impressive car, and Gm definitely got this one right. Go, GM go...sell this damned thing!
  3. The cube is beginning to warm to me. I like the spacious-ness. What I'm not a big fan is the wind and road noise. I'm not finding it tinny either. Feels solid. Wind and road noise was something that turned me off as well....
  4. Looking forward to the update.... And the skyactive tech is really good....it just needs an updated chassis to be mated to...
  5. Happy Birthday, sir.
  6. GM definitely is getting all of the details right on their latest cars, and may be winning me back as a loyal buyer. Motor sounds/exhaust note is indeed one area the GS outshines the Acura... And BTW, the Verano is selling very well but the ILX is slow....I think people are starting to see what GM is doing....
  7. I like hefty down payments, but I also like residual value....which is why I normally buy used, and buy vehicles that have a high residual. Paid 9K for the Mee-Otter 5 years ago, it's still worth about 6 5 years and 80,000 miles of use later (40,000 miles to 120,000 miles)... Think I've done okay there....afraid a sonic would go from 20K to 12K in value in about 18 months.....
  8. I test drove one, and am in the process of writing a review.... Lust mode on the Verano Turbo, but it's ten grand more than the Sonic RS....and Five grand more than the FRS/BRZ, Focus ST, and GTI....
  9. Happy Birthday!
  10. Hopefully they are not bringing out a variant based on the Sonic..... GM, are you listening indeed!
  11. If VW moves Golf production to Mexico and screw up quality, that will be a big black mark for everyone....
  12. Congrats, REG!
  13. Agred, but congrats.... Love Buicks new styling...
  14. Went to my local Chevrolet dealer trying to figure out if I could test drive a Sonic nRS...Ocnblu has me thinking... But Eve, the saleswoman I usually talk to, says that there are no Sonic RS's available within 600 miles. Is this thing special order only? Also, I would really like to own one, but am worried about a lot of instant negative equity as small cars usually depreciate like crazy, and this thing is a little pricey... Although it does seem like one heck of a car. Info, please? Thoughts?
  15. I wish they would bring back the 86 Olds 98....
  16. Reminds me of when winnie the pooh got stuck..and had to loose weight to get unstuck....
  17. The above guest poster is correct, the fit and finish isn't anywhere near as good as the Focus. Focus ST pretty much cleans the clock of the Mazdaspeed three and makes it scream for mercy as far as fit, finish and drive goes. Mazda 3 does drive very well though....
  18. As do Subaru and bad paint...tjis car has abysmal paint quality, but its still cool!
  19. X19 was a sweet little car, need to drive the Abarth myself...
  20. They need to do this badly...Ford is picking up huge media hype with the new Folcus ST, GM already has a high performance version of the Astra that's faster and a better car...they should bring the Astra Coupe in as a Buick, and do a small RWD Chevy, I think. They are giving up image and market share....
  21. Good luck, and sorry to hear you had trouble with the cruze....
  22. Sad, glad the dealer did the right thing...
  23. Agreed...and once electric catches on, its a game changer.
