  1. Lambo doors...it needs lambo doors... Seriously, glad your getting the thing buttoned down, sir. Chris
  2. I actually really like the seat fabric in the GMC...
  3. You mean your not going to drive this playing rap music with your pants hanging off of your ass? Lower it and add neon? Fo sho you could keep the subwoofer box...
  4. Given my handle, you'd think I would be a mew 2011 Mustang fan but... I just don't swing for that team in that way... Bring me a Cobalt SS or a GTI and we'll talk for sho though...I swing for those teams! Chris
  5. Glad your getting her dialed in! Chris
  6. Excellent...however...4 Blizzacks+Miata=winter fun. Snow tires are the way to go...
  7. Would make sense, Camino...
  8. Just a quick question-The MINI Cooper S supercharged and the Cobalt SS/SC used the same superchargers, and the Cooper S's have been having problems hat 100K-150K- Anyone hear about similar problems with the Cobalt?? Chris
  9. Saturn had a much more rational marketing and development concept, and much more owner loyalty. Even here amoung the Auto-X and sporty car set, Scion doesn't have a whole lot of loyalty amoung those who own them... Compared with Saturn, where most of the owners were pretty happy...at least when Saturn was still Saturn. Chris
  10. Your making the irrational assumption that Toyotas marketing is any more thoughtful than GM's. SHAME ON YOU!
  11. BINGO! Give the man a cigar....
  12. Balthazar...check out Ball State university in my old home town of Muncie, Indiana. they have a state of the art Geothermal energy project that is large in scale and actually makes sense. And Reg...not saying we shouldn't use energy for food and drink, just that we should use it more efficiently. Chris
  13. I once saw an 18 wheeler, an expedition, and a Chevrolet Crew Cab 4x4 all jamed under the same highway overpass in Georgia. Sat on the interstate for three hours unable to move until they brought in a gigantic crane to get the Semi and the smaller trucks out. The physics of THAT one I would like to understand... NASTY looking accident! Chris
  14. This is exactly what I've been saying for three years now... And Scion ain't ever comin' back as a sales force to Toyotacrap motors, either... Even Consumer Reports pans the TC now... Chris
  15. Camino can tell you of my love of Healy's... And again, to me, just like Camino said...purposeful, simple, and so forth. Actually, that's why I like cars like the 49 Cadillac 2 Door Hardtop. Chris
  16. Speaking of doing irrational things...for me that car is the Solstice GXP targa... Now that car....hmmm...anyone want a slighly used and abused firstborn son? Chris
  17. I've owned a 55 Chevrolet 2 Door post, two tone blue and white, and a 57 Bel Air wo door hard top, also two tone blue and white. 55 had an Offenhouser tri power and a Muncie 4 speed...still one of the fav. cars I've owned. Keep hoping Z06 will see it (55 Chev) in Orlando, and send me some pics...as the car now belongs to my friend G.E. Miller in Orlando. 55 Nomad is #2 on my list of postwar American cars, right behind the 58-62 Corvettes. FABULOUS car...Tim Allen never should have destroyed the one on Home Improvement... That Blue one you posted is great, Camino! ...someday... And in high school my mother dated a guy who had a brand new 57 Golden Hawk Studebaker. As I was into cars as a kid, my mother told me all about that car... Chris
  18. Of all the (non Corvette) V8 GM cars since the golden era (1955-1974) Modern GTO is the one to get IMHO. Although a nice C5 might be a good change of pace for you. And they are becoming VERY affordable...still lots of cars around in great shape...
  19. That's cool.... I think will still be a few nice GTO's around...
  20. Agreed!
  21. Camino for me, the promise of the 4th gen cars performance wise, and the realtive affordability of the C5 Corvettes kind of put the third gens on back burner status. Chris
  22. Yes it is...amazing cars right from GM. What makes me really sad is how uncommon it is for me to see a Grand National anymore. THAT is a GM car I aspire to own! Chris Why would a Wrangler be out?? It's not Asian...
  23. Problem with third gen stuff is that it goes sooo cheap it's almost not worth restoring. Yes, a few really well preserved cars bring big bucks....but most of those third gen Camaro's and firebirds sell wayy cheap. Selling a vehicle for $3500 after I've put 9k into it just doesn't float my boat. Believe me though , I've thought of the possibilities...1LE spec...thumpin small block...sticky set of Hoosiers... But
  24. ...and Camino...Why not just keep the current barn door? My suggestion-3 vehicles, or 4- El cheapo plow truck/work truck, Barn door, a (not current gen) Wrangler, and some cool, unique old GM/GMC commercial vehicle. Chris
  25. C5 Zo6 Grand national C4 C4 ZR-1 Firehawk Cyclone Typhoon Impala SS Several variants of Miata Integra type R and GSR Toyota Supra Several variants of Mustang 1LE Camaro's and firebirds FD RX-7 BMW M3 BMW Z3 BMW Clownshoe Coupe Lots of moderately collectable stuff from the era... Then again, not sure if a lot of (other)cars from the era merit preservation.
