  1. This would actually be a Phantom or clone I could see myself building. I've always wanted an older truck....HMMM...start with a 71 El-Camino....build a "tribute" vehicle.... Can almost feel the big block rumble. Chris
  2. Happy Birthday! Chris
  3. Looks best in blue IMHO. What is rare is the HHR SS Panel van. Any production #'s on those? Chris
  4. Saw a Jon Cooper Works MINI Cooper S, a MINT 63 Impala 4 Door, a BMW series 1, and a Pontiac G6 Convertible/hardtop, all on the top row of a car carrier. Chris
  5. Sweet car, TED. And that truck I thought was a 67? Learned two things. Only saw it from the drivers side, so I assumed it was a two door. but today, running an errand at work, I actually ran across the truck in an employee parking lot. It's a 72 with a 67 Nose. If I get a chance I'll nail it with some pics. Chris
  6. +1 I would agree with that. Gm will loose out with a one size fits all philosophy. Chris
  7. If you do, good luck! Chris
  8. I'm a very hairy working class guy from Ohio. If I kiss you you will be (or become) straight. Kissing me would be enough to make you give up men. Chris
  9. I'm glad yhou own yours, hyper. I've been noticing them more and more. The only thing I have against the HHR SS is that too many of them seem to be painted red. Chris
  10. I would go with the correct style wheels as well. That car would look great as a period piece. Chris
  11. ...and your going to find another for sale that is virtually brand new when and where? Let's see what the market does with this. Chris
  12. Some day I'm going to own one as a Solstice GXP. That ecotech is one of the best mills GM ever came out with. Chris
  13. There is just something just ohhhh soooo right about poping a hood and seeing a big block or a tripower. My 55 Chevy had an offenhouser tripower intake on it. In some ways of all the cars I've owned, that was a favorite. Chris
  14. IMHO 45K is low for that car. If I had 45K and was a collector that would be a bargain for what it is. In ten years these cars may well be the Dusenbergs of the collector car market. In some ways, they already are. Have you seen what Shelby's and LS6 ragtops are bringing at B-J. Chris
  15. Put me down also as one who could have had a 396 wagon...with a damn 4 speed...when I was in high school. It was white with woodgrain body panels. Nice looking wagon. Another in a long (too long) list of cars I'll regret not buying on my deathbed. Chris
  16. I like it, but I'd rather have it as a plane jane 383 4 speed car in a high impact color. Chris
  17. Awesome truck. I had both a 70 and 71 Chevelle, and I like the 71 body style better. That truck is just damn near perfect. Chris
  18. Beautiful car. I'd rather own a Solstice and beat on it... But awesome car. Chris
  19. Low mile version of a rare car, some collector will pay it. What makes me sad is that this thing never got to be a car. I'd rather see it with 80,000 miles on it, and the patina of age, after having been beaten on at the local drag strip and driven on a couple of Hot Rod Magazine long haul tours. Cars are meant to be driven and abused, dammit. The only number We should be worried about with this car should have 1320 in the formula. Chris
  20. Never thought if this, like this idea. Chris
  21. Neat old Camaro and a 66 Baracuda Formula S on the way home also. Chris
  22. Saw this silver SSR driving home Friday. Chris
  23. I posted a pic of the Pontiac in the yard and the Buick by work, and everyone knows that you can't have a Pontiac and a Buick without an olds, saw this one also...
  24. That Camaro is great love it! Thanks for the pic, caddycruiser. Chris
