  1. Agreed. Seems as if we want zero creativity in everything anymore.. Chris
  2. I feel the same way, Camino. The Sosltice thing is starting to play with me about as bad as the G8 ST thing is playing with you. Like I said...GM will fail at playing Toyota. Chris
  3. We have five kids and five cats. Each Cat has "adopted" one of our children...and our family (other than the bathroom with the litter boxes) is all the better for it. Animals and cars are two things that make life worth living, IMHO. Chris
  4. Actually, I think it might have been Island Coral, as it was kind of a "peachy" pink. Chris
  5. Actually the 72 Torino is a good looking car, before the uggly 5 MPH bumpers... I remember being a kid and everyone wanted a Torino when I was in elementary school because Starsky and Hutch drove one... Chris
  6. I would agree. People still and RWD cars. Where would GM be if they still built a RWD Grand Prix and Cutlass? Is anyone else around here old enough to remember how every parking lot in the US seemed to be just full of these cars in 67, 77 or 87? They had a winning formula, which people want still...and refuse to build it. Idiots. Chris
  7. GM chasis engeneers did their work. Why do you think a (modified) version of the prev. gen CTS is so successful as a road racing car? GM is like a bipolar dysfunctional child-brilliant when it wants to be, really bad at other times... This is a time when GM is brilliant! Chris
  8. ...which is why I have a 70 Charger in my sig. With the Italians running things, there is hope for the American auto industry. Pretty bad when Italians are better at making American cars than Americans. And yes, GM will refuse to learn this lesson. Everything other than the Camaro and CTS that has any individuality will be $h! canned. (damn, I'm starting to sound like smk!) Toyota failed when they tried to run their company like GM, GM will fail when they try to run their company like Toyota. Trust me on this one... Chris
  9. Getting your hands on that Monte would almost make it worth loosing the 'bird
  10. I'll check. Today, of all things... Model A ford, 28-29 roadster... Mach 1 Mustang, 1969, white, nice Ford Torino, 1970 4 door, well preserved Chris
  11. If your really intersted I might be able to get some. Car is in PRIMO condition, hence the price. Chris
  12. Sounds like a winner to me... Chris
  13. ding, ding, ding, we have the correct answer, sir. Chris
  14. Actually...I got a reverse powerflush on my Safari Van, and it worked wonders at getting everything out. Cost me something like 60 bucks and the system was CLEAN after it was done... Now if we could just get it to do a burnout on Brice Road...we'd be all set... Chris
  15. ...yes it is...hope he gets it... Chris
  16. Corvette came after the car I am thinking of... Chris
  17. ...the result of automotive induced Celibacy. Chris
  18. But your Cavalier thread is a good example of what is right about Cheers and Gears. We are all...in our own way...GM fanatics. The Cavi was the car that made me fall in love with small cars. Read about eleventy billion of my posts and you'll see how I feel about small cars. I'm just glad someone else understands the "love" of a Cavi... Chris
  19. But we enjoy it when you are miserable... Chris
  20. ...and one more profoundly stupid thought...but I like it. A Grand Prix instead of a Grand Am as a basis for a truck. Make it more upscale. Chris
  21. ...and Camino...have you ever thought about moving to Austrailia? Utes you can buy off of the showroom floor...the females wear very little on the beach...good climate...lots of new plants for you to play with in your landscaping... And did I mention the part about near nekkid females and Utes? Chris
  22. We need another phantoms thread... Thanks for posting the pic, after reading about how GM is $h!-caning Pontiac, at least I'll have something pleasant to think about while I am going to sleep. Chris
  23. What year was the first Chevy convertible with a power top offered? All Chevrolet convertibles this year came with power tops, if my source is correct... Chris
