Cletus-Was that Caddy headed North-I either saw it or it's twin sister today...and it was riding on the same spot on a car carrier. Think it might have been the same car. It was heading East on I-70 just East of Brice Road when I saw it. I was heading back into Columbus to get some parts and pieces to fix something....and when I was running back out east with my parts...a blue 60 Cadillac 4 door hardtop passed me...also on top of a car carrier. Wonder if someone out east is building a nice little Cadillac collection? If anyone out east see's either car at a car show...snap a few pics and share them, please! And I agree Cletus, 68 and 69 were better years. The Six Pack car with the lift off hood at the Nazarene Church car show was a 69 IIRC. Chris

Roger...thanks for the pics of the Vista Wagons. When I was in the 7th grade my Music teacher had a Vista wagon like the white one as a family car. He ended up running that thing in a demo derby when he was done with it! Chris

Moltar/Cubical...IIRC isn't the 65 Fury the pace car of the Indy 500 that year...and isn't the pace car white on blue like that? When I student taught about a million years ago (actually 1988) one of my students had a 65 Sport Fury like that. I saw a white 58 Fury on a car carrier today...looked to be in just awesome shape...white W-gold...IIRC that was the only way you could get a fury that year. Chris

70 Super Bee is a beautiful car...used to have a 69 Green Super Bee locally that was just the cat's ass...unmolested and original and nice. My daughters church has a car show every year in July, and a 440 Six Pack Superbee showed up two years ago (the one with the lift off hood.) Chris

Got a few hours to kill?
Camino-Deleted my post because I thought I had offended you, glad I haven't... Just sad to see these old cars go...back to happier times. Balthazar-There were about thirty Pontiacs from the 1960's vintage between my home and the corner market we used to go to when I was a kid. Only notable car was a maroon 1966 GTO convetible...first time I ever saw a tri power...was about like seeing the girl next door nekkid for the first time...I just KNEW I liked what I saw. Maybe that's why I have five kids...perhaps if I'd have gotten a Pontiac earlier, I wouldn't have such a large family, eh? Seriously...this thread has done me a lot of good. I had about given up on owning another old American Car. But then the other night, after I didn't get the B-17 ride my wife wife and I were talking. She said "make a bucket list" (Things to do before you die, after the movie by that name) She put riding in a B-17 on my list, and asked me what kind of cars I wanted to own. I've decided that it comes down to... I want to own a 53-56 Ford Truck or a 49-55, or 61-66 Chevy truck, as a mild street rod or cruiser. If the guy building that Impala can fix THAT...I can pull it together enough to save an old truck. And if I get a car, I am going to utterly shoot for the moon and get my fav. GM car ever, a 58-62 Corvette. Hey, If he can dream and have a 61 Impala, I can dream and have a 61 Corvette, right? Thanks again Camino for posting this thread...and please don't ban me if the truck I wind up with in a few years is a 55 F100! Something about an old truck.... Chris

Dan Neil: Genesis coupe is more primitive than prim
It is a step in the right direction...but were I to be buying a RWD car for 30K I can think of others (370Z, Camaro, Mustang, Challenger, et al) that are still much better. Well done review, though. Chris

Majority of House supports bill to reverse dealer closings
And even then, I'd like to see them close Germain Toyota and Hatfield Toyota/Toyota West here in Columbus. We have about eleventy billion times too many new car dealers. Chris

Ughhh...you haven't had a "real" philly cheese steak sandwich then. Enough good cheese to give even Lance Armstrong hardened arteries... Chris
