I knew this couldn't last long... He is coming home...
It really isn't much of a show when you get four ad breaks every three laps. Chris

What simple pleasures do you enjoy?
I enjoy sex...but I enjoy just spending time with my wife and children also. Chris

"I don't much care for..."
If it melts the tabletop, and then sets my shoelaces on fire when it eats through the plate...it is hot enough for me. I just LOVE what you hate. Chris

So, I still don't get it...

50 worst cars ever
My inlaws owned an early 1990's Hyundai...it should really be on the list. Worse IMHO than the cars of British Leyland....and that's saying something. Chris

They built some cool stuff on the W body chasis, for sure. Chris

You might try getting it buffed at a body shop. I got my Safari van buffed when it faded out, and it still looks good. The secret is waxing the car every 3-4 months with good wax and keeping it washed once you get it buffed. I got the van done for $125, which wasn't bad. The guy that buffed it buff's/rubs out cars like Lexus, Benz, Cadillac, etc....he did a nice job. Since your car is smaller, and you live on Long Island perhaps the two factors would blance each other out, and you could get a similar deal. Good luck! Chris

And silver is a wonderful color for it, also. I've posted before about how good the 60's GM stuff looks in Silver...this is proof modern GM cars look good in silver. I like this almost as much as the Solstice Targa in silver...and that's saying something. Beautiful car, Bob! Thanks for taking care of her. sixty-Six

Pontiac’s Focused, Niche Role
Exactly. A G8 family of cars and a new, fresh Solstice, including a Solstice Targa....Hmmmm... Chris

Toyota dumps TRD
It is still fighting for life on both coasts, I think. But a modded civic is actually less common around here than a Grand National or a (1990's) Impala SS. Chris

American Luxury in 1961
We don't build buildings like that anymore. Wow, that must have been so...elegant and classy in its day. I wish I had $13 mil to blow, plus the rahab costs... Chris

50 worst cars ever
Actually several of the cars on the list are rather creative. The MGA twincam was a joke in terms of how it blew up...but it was very advanced thinking, in that so many motors today are built with overhead cams like that.... Chris

Kit your LNF Turbo
But they won't. they will kill the sister car, SKy when the kill Saturn, and they can't keep Wilmington running on 300-1200 cars a month. They need to set themselves up for small scale production like Chrysler did with the Prowler, I think...if they could. IIRC the Prowler was built at the same small volume facility that makes the Viper. Chris

Yay, an actual CAR topic...
I just love this generation of Buick....one of my fav. GM cars, actually. I've thought HARD about buying one as a ragtop someday.... Chris

"I don't much care for..."

Toyota dumps TRD
That is MUCH better looking, actually.... Chris

Kit your LNF Turbo
I think it would be great to keep the Solstice in production....putting this on a Solsitce would be great! Chris

So, I still don't get it...
I wish Obama luck also, along with every other person in office. We need both the right and the left here I think....we need to get away from the idea of deficit spending and borrowing for everything, and we need a safety net for the millions of hard working Americans who are about to loose their jobs and be unable to support their families. Chris

So, I still don't get it...
This would be my thought on the matter. To have Pontiacs heritage and pack in the towel is sort of like winning a football game by going back to the locker room and pulling off the pads before kickoff. Sad, really. Chris

American Luxury in 1961
As a fan of architecture, the destruction of Detroit as a city is the rape of the century in terms of destroying our heritage. Sad, really. Chris

Toyota dumps TRD
TRD needs to build real performance parts to sell to real racers, autocrossers, etc. In order to be competitive. Other than the occasional MR-2, Toyota is almost non-existant in autocross from what I can tell, as well as SCCA and NASA road racing. The whole import drag thing seems to have dried up, and most of the people into the whole drifiting thing are drifting cars other than Toyota's. The whole Scion TC thing is its own little cultural thing, but unless your a poser in LA or some other highly asian area, I don't think that many people are into modding them. It's just for Austrailia...but they aren't doing much in the USA, at least as far as real, sancitioned automobile racing goes. I don't really follow the whole trophy truck/baja thing, they may compete there, I really don't know.... Chris/66
