  1. Sadly, I think he was about as well recieved as an abstinence lecture to two horny teenagers in the back of a Camaro. The truth never seems to play well, even if it is the truth. Oh well, at least we know Washingondid get the real picture from someone. Chris
  2. As screwed up as things are getting, I'm worried that if I buy a new Camaro or Solstice it's perhaps going to bow to Mecca 5 times a day to pray. I really despise the idea of China buying our auto industry. This just sucks... Chris
  3. God, I hope so. I love the Solstice, but to me the new Camaro is just Pure Lust... Chris
  4. God, I hope so. I love the Solstice, but to me the new Camaro is just Pure Lust... Chris
  5. ...and looks better. Chris
  6. At this point, we jsut need GM to stay around. A major reorganization is in the works whatever the case. There is an ancient Chinese curse which goes something like "may you live in exciting times" These days are anything but dull. 66
  7. ...or perhaps the new Camaro will be Hot and Sour rather than Hot and Spicy... Chris
  8. Exactly on the slow thing. My wife and I were friends first, we didn't even kiss for the first few months, and we are still together almost 24 years later. Good luck, BTW. And as Paulino said, glad you've met someone special. Chris
  9. Agreed, Mr moltar...
  10. http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/breaking-...er/#more-156041 Read the link and comment, please. This is Dire! Chris
  11. FWD cars really do kinda suck when they are driven hard. Come out and Autocross sometime...I've only been doing it for less than a year, but I've worked as a corner worker in the SCCA and been on an SCCA pit crew, as well as worked crew for a circle track team. Driven in anger, there is a real difference between FWD and RWD. I really would be happy if I never owned another FWD car. But I can really see CARBIZ's point about FWD and "growin up," and I'm enough of an automotive whore to really be lusting after the Cobalt SS. But when the ink dries on a purchase contract, I really want RWD. Chris
  12. Keep us posted, dude. I got laid off back in February...it ain't any fun. I had another job lined up, not making quite as much $, and I am fine. Hopefully the economy turns around... And thanks for posting the links! Chris
  13. Ouch!!! Sorry this happened to you. You seem like in real life your a really kind person, and sometimes people mistake kindness for weakness. Also, glad to see you were faithful to your BF. I've always been faithfull to my wife, but it hasn't always been easy. Chris
  14. Get ready...this is going to be the next ten years of what we get from Asia. Chris
  15. Ditto. Not really in a position to buy and restore a project car right now but... I'd love to own another 50's car. This time something a little bit less mainstream than the 57 chevy and 55 Chevy I used to own. Chris
  16. Try Autocrossing first, you'd learn some good car control skills. But yeah, one of your Camaro's would be a lot of fun to take out and "play with" FOG. Chris
  17. Astra would be cheaper...but like I said...get one of each they are small. Chris
  18. This one seemed to be pretty well preserved and had almost no rust. Like I said, it seemed to be part of a much larger collection of late 50's cars that were not for sale at the time. I almost wonder if they are part of an estate and going through probate or something. The whole bunch of cars is at U-Store and Sell on Fisher Road (at Fisher and Wilson) on the west side here in Columbus. Chris
  19. We actually had a guy show up to one of our autocrosses in a Semi truck. He was quite angry when we turned him away. Chris
  20. Exactly, Camino. We need to change our nation, because we've gone from a nation of creative, responsible individualists to a nation of sheep that shop from and work for the big major mega corporations. This is why I rarely eat at Appleby's or Burger King, and rarely if ever shop at Wal-Mart. Chris
  21. Or a Suburban! Chris
  22. I can't blame you. If they ever come off of that 59 I'll PM you. Chris
  23. ...and I can't speak for him, but I think he is thinking of perhaps Autocrossing the Bimmer. Not sure of what class in the SCCA the CTS or Saab run in, but that may very well be in the back of his mind. Chris
  24. My son has several friends that are 6'1 to 6'3, and my 18 year old daughter has a few friends that are 6'0 to 6'1 of the female variety. Looked a a beautiful white CTS, but couldn't fit tall teenagers in the back and keep them comfy, so it was a no go. It was a clean used 1st gen CTS, which was quite affordable. BTW, have you ever seen a CTS in the flesh in white? It really is a beautiful car in that color. Chris
