  1. Hey, my son and I would like to own a "special" car together and he's 15. Why don't you just sell him on the idea that this is a very special car that you'll enjoy together, mother and son. That might also be emotionally helpful to him with all of the crap divorce brings to a family. Chris
  2. ...and like I said before, now you need a Cobalt SS to go with it. (: (: (: I know that's not the plan, but to me I can't think of a better pair... Chris
  3. I'm in lust over the MINI S. Why don't we just clone your S.O., Satty? While I'm married and too old to be her boyfriend I could probably adopt her (the clone) as my daughter. She has my kinda taste in cars. Chris
  4. $1.47 at the station down the street... Chris
  5. (Channeling SMK) The Chrome around the rear ashtra isn't up to BMW standards, and Pontiac really should have introduced this in 1957 alongside the Tripower Starfire convertible if it ever expected to keep up with Honda... (End Channeling) Chris
  6. Let's see how much media attention this gets...sadly I'm betting just about none. Chris
  7. We need to get people into the cars to experience just how good they are. Very few people that bash the Sosltice have ever driven one with an open mind. The G6 is a good car IMHO...I could see firming up the suspension and refreshing the interior a bit until GM had money to upgrade the whole product lineup. Chris
  8. I had a similar (but older) era Cutlass when I was dating my wife. That car is a great car fr double dates, as another couple can ride very comfortably in the back seat. Chris
  9. Actually it's tough times for the imports around here in Ohio. In Marysville Honda is shutting down a few days early for X-mas, and the local big Toyota dealer just laid off several people. We may be in for more of an automotive landslide than we thought. Chris
  10. Actually, the French car is better looking. A little bit more agressive, which helps the design IMHO. Chris
  11. Like I said in another thread...I really wish I had 40k to buy a car right now. Maybe like C5 Corvettes this car will be affordable in a few years. Chris
  12. I love the interior on that car also....really miss the two tone interior from my 55 Chevy. The one B-59I have seen in the flesh had a two tone blue interior, which looked really good also. Chris
  13. The Fit is laid out nicely and drives nicely. But if it were up to me, I'd rather have the Astra than the Fit. Although let's be honest, for the same money I could buy a very gently used supercharged Cobalt SS and a sticky set of Auto-X tires. I'll give you one good guess as to where my dinero would go. Chris
  14. Happy birthday
  15. +1 Although I also like Pizza with lots of different cheeses. I tend to be Pizza bipolar, actually...either Chicago deep dish style or like Harley Earl said, simple and pure. Chris
  16. Excellent and well written, Drew! Chris
  17. Had one of my cars in for an oil change, in the next bay was a six or seven year old Toyota. After about 7 years it was so rusted that they told the owner the car was too shot to perform an alignment. I know Ohio has bad winters, but there are 1984 Cutlasss Cieras and such running around here doing just fine. The shop said that toyotas were the WORST cars on the road for rust anymore. Chris
  18. Yes, it would...although sometimes prototypes cannot be driven upon "public" roads for liability reasons. Chris
  19. Sorry to hear about your husband, looks like your son got a much nicer gift than the Civic you were thinking about... Chris
  20. I like tiger, but agree GM can find a better spokesperson for Buick.
  21. http://media.photobucket.com/video/From%20...evsJailTime.flv Enjoy! Chris
  22. Got into an arguement (okay, spirited discussion) with an Idiot about imported cars at a Pizza resteraunt the other night that made me spit my pepperoni about half way across the room. Clueless guy wanted to argue that the Corvette was an import because Zora Arkus Duntov wasn't a natural born American... What is the dumbest thing you have ever heard in a discussion about cars? Chris
  23. Excellent letter, thanks for sharing this PCS. I am beginning to think our biggest problem as Americans is that we no longer are all that concerned about our fellow Americans. Chris
  24. Here is a very glowing/positive report of Acuras AWD system... http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drive...topanel..1.*#20 Comments? Any thoughts on the G8's place in the sport sedan hierarchy, or of what sport sedan you would buy if you weren't going to buy GM? Chris
  25. ...in this world of bland, FWD jellybeans, it is a rebel. It's also more of a traditional "hot rod" in the way it feels as a car, and in a lot of ways it reminds me of the great 4 door Bonnevilles, Electras, and Impalas of the late 60's. Chris
