  1. Your right, they ruined it. This thing is so ugly that I am considering becoming Amish so I won't be tempted to drive... Chris
  2. They are taught that masterbation and thinking for themself are cardinal sins. Chris
  3. In addition to 800 pounds they need to change the exhaust note. The exhaust sound of the 350Z is one of the least pleasant in the sportscar universe... Chris
  4. It is a huge improvement over the current Z car...but like Satty said in the next car purchase thread the new Z still misses the sweet spot of the original. Chris
  5. Sadly, I think a gay child would be disowned by such a family. I have a very good friend who goes to a liberal church that has an outreach program for gay teens. A LOT of gay teens struggle in families like this. The real life cases are amazingly sad. As for me, I'd rather have a Gay child than a fundamentalist any day of the week. Hell, I'd take 17 gay children before I'd take one fundamentalist. Chris
  6. A huge number of children of fundamentalists don't become fundamentalists themselves. And hell yes let them become abortion doctors and gay activists...the fundamentalist right needs a dose of reality. Chris
  7. Actually given how horny most women are when they are pregnant I am quite sure he doesn't need one. Chris
  8. That's the whole idea. Mary Pride, the mother of the rightwing element in home schooling movement doesn't believe in birth control or the idea that the earth is overpopulated. She once reasoned that since all of the world's population would fit in Texas, that there was a whole planet to fill for God's glory. Chris
  9. They are conservative Christians and trying to fill the world with conservative Christians. It is part of the whole far right homeschool movement. Chris
  10. You may yet need that wagon to be a family hauler, Satty. Chris
  11. I really hope it doesn't. We had major greed during the robber baron era in this country during the 1890's, and then had reform under Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and others...American Women got the right to vote, and the economy came back. Hopefully we get a new era of reform and growth after our current era or greed, apathy and corruption. A GM bailout can't happen quickly enough. Chris
  12. You might try a Volkswagen GTI...But the Cooper would still be my first choice. Chris
  13. Sadly, I think he was about as well recieved as an abstinence lecture to two horny teenagers in the back of a Camaro. The truth never seems to play well, even if it is the truth. Oh well, at least we know Washingondid get the real picture from someone. Chris
  14. As screwed up as things are getting, I'm worried that if I buy a new Camaro or Solstice it's perhaps going to bow to Mecca 5 times a day to pray. I really despise the idea of China buying our auto industry. This just sucks... Chris
  15. God, I hope so. I love the Solstice, but to me the new Camaro is just Pure Lust... Chris
  16. God, I hope so. I love the Solstice, but to me the new Camaro is just Pure Lust... Chris
  17. ...and looks better. Chris
  18. At this point, we jsut need GM to stay around. A major reorganization is in the works whatever the case. There is an ancient Chinese curse which goes something like "may you live in exciting times" These days are anything but dull. 66
  19. ...or perhaps the new Camaro will be Hot and Sour rather than Hot and Spicy... Chris
  20. Exactly on the slow thing. My wife and I were friends first, we didn't even kiss for the first few months, and we are still together almost 24 years later. Good luck, BTW. And as Paulino said, glad you've met someone special. Chris
  21. Agreed, Mr moltar...
  22. http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/breaking-...er/#more-156041 Read the link and comment, please. This is Dire! Chris
  23. FWD cars really do kinda suck when they are driven hard. Come out and Autocross sometime...I've only been doing it for less than a year, but I've worked as a corner worker in the SCCA and been on an SCCA pit crew, as well as worked crew for a circle track team. Driven in anger, there is a real difference between FWD and RWD. I really would be happy if I never owned another FWD car. But I can really see CARBIZ's point about FWD and "growin up," and I'm enough of an automotive whore to really be lusting after the Cobalt SS. But when the ink dries on a purchase contract, I really want RWD. Chris
  24. Keep us posted, dude. I got laid off back in February...it ain't any fun. I had another job lined up, not making quite as much $, and I am fine. Hopefully the economy turns around... And thanks for posting the links! Chris
  25. Ouch!!! Sorry this happened to you. You seem like in real life your a really kind person, and sometimes people mistake kindness for weakness. Also, glad to see you were faithful to your BF. I've always been faithfull to my wife, but it hasn't always been easy. Chris
