  1. Be interesting to see what they do with the Caliber. My son Joel and I looked at a Caliber SRT-4 in the showroom when we went and looked at those Challengers, and it seems like they are doing a better job getting assembly on the line done well. Like I said, Cerebis is giving me some hope for Chryco. Chris
  2. I would agree. When I bought my last new car, I went into a Chevrolet delership to look at the Cobalt. I was told "you don't want to look at that, its not a very good car." GM needs to do something NOW to get people excited about there products. Ford seems to be doing the best. With Chrysler, that lifetime warranty is going to be for the lifetime of Chrysler, which may well be in months if things don't change. Chris
  3. I can appreciate how you feel. When we moved in, our subdivision was 90% domestic. It's probably 50-60% right now, but most of the new cars I see are foreign. Two years ago there was one toyota truck in our whole subdivision, now there must be 15-20. Chris
  4. ...ouch, Solstice, one of my fav. GM cars is down, and buick is down big. Hummer is down huge... Chris
  5. Glad to see the Astra doing better. Wonder if GM does the horrible restyle thing with the G6 if it will tank also. Glad to see Malibu and CTS doing so well, the deserve to do well.
  6. I wonder why the hell this thing isn't catching on here in the states. It is one hell of a sexy car! Last I knew, dealers had like a 300 day supply... Chris
  7. It's still a MUCH nicer interior. Starting to have hope that things will improve! Chris
  8. Ditto on the gunmetal grey. Satty, as has been said before, this thread is useless without pics! Chris
  9. Wasn't it Pierce Arrow where they melted down all of the factory spares during WWII? I think they did that with one of the American Classic brands, I remember reading about it in automotive quarterly. Chris
  10. You will someday, my friend. Until then...maybe a Challenger (new) in a year or two? I still think the silver/grey would be kick-ass on that car! Chris
  11. This would be cool. With 5 kids to haul around, I could use a rod like that! Chris
  12. Nahh, you really need to do it in something like the 57 Cadillac 4 door hardtop you posted the link to in another thread. The cross country thing would be WAYY to much fun in a car like that. Chris
  13. Dude, I am a car guy at heart and this is singin my song. Before I became an Electrician I worked in acabinet shop part time down on Hudson street here in Columbus. There was a buisiness next door called "Coachbuilt Motors" and they maintained a bunch of cars you'd give your eye teeth for (I'm talking V-16 Caddy's, Pre war Rolls, Packard, Pierce Arrow, etc.) That people toured the country with. Personally I'd like a prewar Blower Bently, but it ain't never gonna happen... My choice for the cross country trip is going to be a Miata. But I'd rather do it in something like an original 37 Chevy, just like you described. Chris
  14. Wow, my next car will be built by...VW or Mazda if GM builds this abortion. Chris
  15. Me too. I think it will be interesting to see what happens to the economy here in central Ohio when the crap hits the fan at Honda. Chris
  16. Look at the bright side sixty eight, they circled the problem on the front of the car and were even kind enough to highlight it in blue. Chris
  17. I wish I could do it with you...although next time, take the B-59. Chris
  18. Good luck and keep us posted. Chris
  19. Mine too. Donks on anything look terrible. Chris
  20. I would agree. Chris
  21. Someone needs to buy that and preserve it. I was always a sucker for that body style Chevy. Chris
  22. Unlike a lot of guys here I know a fair number of people into Hondas, and a lot of them would agree with Clarkson. Chris
