Well, wonder of wonders, He's been discharged and he's back at home... I'm in disbelief about what the doctors said as well. It wasn't congestive heart failure that made him unable to breathe, it was an air pocket in his lungs caused by Plaster Dust from his earlier work days, that in turn caused a little emphysema. He still has a small/leaky left valve and a partially blocked artery that will need to be operated on this year, but they're livable. The good news is he's out and will be able to see my graduation ceremonies (My grandma said he'd been beating himself up over missing them). My dad and I had his black Impala washed today so it's clean for him to drive again, and I went up to the hospital to pick him up with my grandma... The nurse said that he looked ten years younger than he was and didn't look like he belonged in a hospital because he didn't look sick, she also says that he was the nicest patient on the ward... I believe it. Spending ten days in a hospital can't ever be fun but he kept his sense of humor throughout the whole thing, and I admire that.

GM Canada has an agreement with the CAW that the LaCrosse Name, along with Impala, Century, Regal, and Grand Prix that make those names tied to GM Oshawa Car Assembly, therefore it won't likely be called LaCrosse as it won't be assembled at Oshawa... The Alpha Buick that might be made there, however.... Regal Anyone? The LaCrosse is a decidedly lackluster product in comparison to Lexus who they're trying to compete with so I see it as more of a transitional nameplate. LaSalle, however... Remember that GM's been pretty good about bringing showcar names to production: AURA G6 Enclave...

Yup. GMC should be ripe to go. Saab I'd say is safe for now because they do a lot of R&D for GM and GME in particular. Saturn... Seems they want to tinker with it some more but in my Opinion it should go because it won't work. I think they should shutter Saturn and just bring in Opel (and call it Opel for that matter). Pontiac... I'm sorry to say might be on its way out considering the lack of announced product in the pipeline. Buick... Safe because of China and all the new product coming. Cadillac... Safe. 1. The next generation model, maybe. But they're making an Alpha-Based smaller RWD Buick possible called Regal so I'm not sure what bearing that may have on bringing this model here. 2. By all present indications, yes. Since it won't be produced at Oshawa, it can't be called LaCrosse. Why would they make up a completely different name from the showcar when that name is already appropriate? They're not Ford or something. 3. A Theta-Epsilon based SUV ala BRX and 9-4X is entirely possible but unless GM does something with Saab, I don't expect them to flood a third lux SUV onto the market... But then again knowing GM's flooding of the market with Lambdas, it may be true. 4. No.
