  1. 115mph in my Honda. No I wasn't racing, I was by myself on I-95 and it was late. However I did get passed by an Impala and an Accord, they went by like I was sittin' still. I'm guessing saying that they were doing 125-130.
  2. I really like the SRX. It's such a nice car. Congratulations
  3. Nice, don't forget to post some pictures
  4. Wow and to think this was a thread about gas mileage. How on earth did it go this far?! Simply amazing Admins: Maybe it's time to close this thread, just a suggestion
  5. I have a 2007 Silverado Ex-cab with a 5.3l. It has plenty of power, and with the "Active Fuel Management" I get about 21-22mpg highway. I might be able to do better than that, but even most of my highway driving is stop and go
  6. No, porno on car DVD players was quite popular around here for a while. What was great about that was we stopped at a red light before the minivan full of kids could change lanes.
  7. I was behind a guy who was reading the paper, using a laptop, and talking on the cell phone all at the same time. I saw a guy shave Women doing thier hair and make up I was behind an SUV that had a porno playing on his DVD player, when I noticed to soccer mom with a minivan full of kids behind me, I changed lanes.
  8. Congrats on the car! your pictures didn't load
  9. There is nothing wrong with it. I traded my 2005 Silverado for a 2007 Silverado. Don't worry about what other people think about it, if you want the car go and get it.
  10. Ask and ye shall receive Escalade ESV. Although it does not have 72" rims, they are spinners
  11. Lorton exit 163 off of 95N. If your coming up on a weekday either come through really early (pass Fredericksburg by 4am at the latest) or wait until the afternoon. Morning rush hour here is a pain in the ass I deal with it everyday. Also if your heading back home on a weekday, again try to do it early. Hit 95S no later that 11am, this is heavy travel season and traffic will be very heavy. Just to give you a perspective Lorton (Exit 163) to Fredericksburg (Exit 130) could take anywhere from 2-3 hours maybe more. And please watch your ass people on 95 just don't care. If you come through on a weekend stop in and see me. I would like to see your car in person, just send me a PM and I'll give you my contact info.
  12. I bought both of my Silveradoes at Lindsay Chevrolet in Woodbridge VA. It's not close to me at all but I would certainly reccomend them over the local Chevy dealer. I had the same saleman sell me both of my trucks, dealing with him was great since he does not sell cars full time, he only does it on the side for extra money. Lindsay Chevrolet Here is the website for anyone interested in the Northern VA area.

  14. I have no will power. I have bought all my vehicles on impulse. I just can't stop myself
  15. The Pepsi Generation (or "Generation Next" as they called it.)
  16. True. The team has had an uphill struggle so far this year. But Casey's win boiled down to a gamble that paid off
  17. At my local GMC dealer. back in 2005 during the "Employee discount for everyone" promo. I was looking at an '05 Sierra and I was trying to figure out my finances, the only thing I wasn't sure on was my insurance. I told the sales lady that I wanted to wait and talk to my insurance company first. It was late and they were closed already. I guess she told the sales manager about it, and he proceedes to walk over and throw a phone book at me and basically orders me to call my insurance company. I told him they were closed as he flipped pages. Me: Look my insurance company is closed, its late Him: They have to have a 24hr line you need to call Me: I'll call tomorrow Him: I can't hold any vehicles over. I can't hold this truck for you. I got people buying Me: Did I ask you to hold anything for me? Did those words come out of my mouth? NO! Him: I can't hold- Me: I don't care. I guess me and my money will go elsewhere I walked out of the dealership and went on home. The sales lady called me the next morning and told me that I needed to hurry up and get there to buy the truck. I told her I wasn't buying the truck because the sales manager was a pushy over bearing douchebag and that killed the deal. I also said that my money will spend well elsewhere. The local area dealerships suck. If you want a good deal around here you got to go out of town. I did three times. One of the best dealerships as far as people go was the local Dodge dealership. I was going to go there to buy a truck but I went after the orginial owner sold out to Douchebags INC. So I bought my Ram at a dealership 40 some miles away. I also traveled for both of my Chevy's. I bought both from the same dealer.
  18. Right now HMS has it together. They have won 9 out of 12 this year. Despite the early exit Jeff Gordon still holds the points lead. I think Gordon is going to get his 5th title this year.
  19. Casey Mears won NASCAR's longest race, the Coca-Cola 600, last night using fuel milage to beat out the top contenders. A long green flag run at the end of the race saw the expected front runners have to pit for fuel while Mears stayed out and held on over the final 8 laps to win. This race marks Chevy's 11th win out of the 12 races so far. Casey Mears' car owner Rick Hendrick has seen his teams win 9 of those. Now all four of Hendrick Motorsports teams have a victory this year.
