  1. Oooo... the Harvest Beige Bug looks good, I haven't seen any hardtops that color yet. They have a new green on the Bugs this year, a little more silvery. I like it better than the old green. The Harvest Beige is most certainly a throwback to the 60's... who hasn't seen an old bug in that color? There were also a lot of red ones similar to the dusky red on the '06s as well, and baby blue... when we gonna see that color on the new Bug? "Vapor" was just too pale, does anyone remember that special edition color? It was the palest blue... everrr. I actually saw a C5 'Vette that color once in Ocean City, MD. I would like a more upscale, vibrant color palette from GM. Colorado/Canyon comes in some pretty pathetic colors. I still prefer my green to any current color, except maybe Superior Blue, and that's gone for '07, I guess.
  2. Are those skinned, boiled kittycat heads?
  3. Ravenfreak... how old are you, sir? "Corsica" certainly never entered my mind in connection with this car... but, Corvair Corsa certainly did, and that was a much cooler car than this little guy. I wonder if a convertible is in the works... it could be a Corsa Spyder.
  4. I love toys, I ain't gone lie.
  5. Please don't put them under the hood, Nicky boy. Hey CB, thanks for that 4:22 post. Funny! You're sly. Croc, I thought of the same thing you did the moment I saw that. I didn't do anything special last night. I was in town. It was a warm night, and there were a lot of people walking around for First Friday, when all the downtown art galleries have open house. Cafes set up tables on sidewalks, a couple of places had live acoustic music outside. Franklin & Marshall college set off fireworks as I ventured home. I stood on my deck and watched them wind down. It would have been so much better if someone were here with me.
  6. Bustleback Seville in white with dark blue fake convertible top and two matching "straps" with buckles on the trunk.

Ok, I'm ready. Where is everyone? Kidding. I've been having some computer problems the last couple of days. Hope to see y'all in the room soon.
  8. Yup, that was Mr. Fly and I think the car was a Tatra.
  9. I say bring it here, with a gas-sipper gas engine, a little torque-monster diesel, and the turbo. As the smallest Saturn, and with that range of engines, it stands a good chance of doing well.

    ...

I'm happy so far. I like the upright grille and non-angry (but still dead serious) face. Of course I'm more interested in the 1/2 ton, but these photos bode well.

    Classic Malibu

That's a '66, one of the most popular years of Chevelle with musclecar enthusiasts.
  12. Women, what're ya gonna do?
  13. I knew I could incite a response like this. Thanks for being so predictable.
  14. When info was first coming out about the new Tahoe, I could swear I saw something about a Z71 version becoming available later in the '07 model year, with special exterior trim, a different front fascia, etc.. Hmmm...
  15. Sorry z, I wasn't clear in my description. Her key sometimes will not turn in the cylinder to the "lock" position to remove it. It stays in "accessory". This is with the car in "park", of course. I've noticed (but haven't told her because I'll never hear the end of it) that the lock cylinder looks like it is falling down into the column shroud. It is not fully in the hole through the shrouding, it is low. Yes, she knows all about the TSB for the door trims. Before that fix was in, she had several sets of old-design trim panels put in, before our shop stopped ordering them for her because of the pending fix. Since the wider cups have been installed, I haven't heard this complaint from her. Time will tell. The radio situation has only happened twice as far as I know. I was with her once when it happened.
  16. Happy Birthday, sir of the Energizer GP.
  17. Croc, sir, could you please do me a favor? Could you maybe switch to posting in spanish? Because I can't read spanish and that might really help my blood pressure. Thanks in advance!
  18. As some of you know, my mom has a 2005 Cobalt base sedan. She's had a few issues, and I want to see if anyone reading this has had similar experiences. Cloth coming out from under the pull cup in the door trim panels. Radio going into "lock" mode for no apparent reason. Resets itself with an ignition cycle. Ignition lock cylinder refusing to lock, preventing the key from being removed.
  19. Yeahbut, don'tcha hate getting whiplash when the speed limiter kills the fuel?

    I was sleeping.
  23. I love the little wheel controls on the radio. My mom's '69 Charger SE (gold on gold vinyl interior) had those.
  24. Although Chrysler's '70-and-up ponycars are much more coveted today, I always liked the '69 Barracuda.
  25. Agreed. Starting with the '55 Chrysler 300 (before that they were kinda unremarkable except for the Airflow, imo), they've had some really compelling designs over the years. Of course, they kinda lost their way in the early 60's and again with the K-car era, but they've recovered. I hope the next Liberty looks like a bigger, more capable Patriot. I see so many Cherokees on the road still, I know the Liberty was a bit of a misstep for Jeep (although the flat-hood Renegade looks decent.)
