  1. what are those horrible abomanations at the bottom of that photo show ? Dave, I mean really, Olds Buick and Caddy were not doing the same thing. Olds was out there on its own, doing its own thing, you know, what saturin is now supposedly going to do now, some 10 years after the fact after loosing how many billions of dollars. Ya know, no matter how wrong the last few generations have determined the Oldsmobile name to be, saturn is the stupidest name for an automobile I have ever heard, possibly excluding Yugo. I mean why not Moon, Mars, Pluto or best of all Uranus ?

Well, we can only speculate the end long term results of those three assassinations. Even the effect of Vietnam is something I know I could have done without, I was young but it was nuts, everything was nuts, I think we lost quite a bit of patriotism from the whole thing. I've heard some people say we needed the wake up call or the stress from those times but I just dont know. We can only speculate. :(
  3. I thought autobahn package took care of that issue ? Only on Aurora ?
  4. How about B U I C K shadow lettering ?
  5. Rice comes from Asia, hotrodding is American tradition, in any form.
  6. Yea, that would be cool, dent resistant, unchipable, low maintainance soft touch plastic. Stock up on ArmorAll I loved the grafics on Cudas I was disappointed our Ciera Cruiser did not have wood, but hey, I got enough "wood" to go around
  7. Yes, but that Camaro has potential to handle speed no problem. I had a 69 307 to 120 and werent scart, damn cop ! I also had 75 4cyl 710 Datsun to 120 and werent scart, but quiet surprised. as far as hitting the windshield, thats exactly what the LSS does somewhere around 112 or 115  and it comes quick and you wouldnt even guess you were going that fast. Im so lucky my tires did not blow and send shreds through the firewall and rip my chest out :P but that damn lump on my forehead hurt !
  8. Plum did some interesting scetches way, way back before we all were pounded into becoming ashamed for still holding on to all the possibilities. Great idea Sal
  9. Carbiz - I might misunderstand you but diesel fuel has recently gotten insanely expensive at 4-6-8 miles per gallon. I dont think anybody snuck anything up, at least on the freighting and manufactureing end.
  10. Interesting, good luck, needless to say I cant help. It would be an interesting read when your done , I believe.
  11. Im sure theres many lawsuits going on here. I hate law suits myself but with that said SUV's are crap. Anybody that can't come to grips with the inherent problems of short wheel base & huge tires combined with high center of gravity wasnt paying attention to Jeep CJ fiasco, or were ignorant to think it went away with the Jeep. But then again hasnt there been much publicity about the problems with SUV's ? Its so amusing how we are now raising the center of gravity on cars to ease the visibility problem on the roadways created by the vast amount of these billboards with wheels on the road.
  12. I can relate to the thinking behind this. As far as the Lucerne that is. though I have a few problems with the engine confinements divid out by GM according to who gets the most luv. That Avalon is quite expensive, isnt it ? I never knew they were that high and I believe they are freaky looking, I far prefer the Camry from a physical standpoint. A former co worker just bought their second Avalon and I did think the interior was quite nice but smiled from ear to ear when I turned and walked to my $10,000 LSS, sat down inside and headed home in complete luxury. :AH-HA_wink: Id still go hunt me down a used G2 4l Aurora for less than first year depreciation would be. Modern economics :)
  13. No it wasnt :( We just werent all uptight and knew that was a joke. I think that was a take off on "Alice one of these days" did it ever appear that Alice was afraid ? I think Ralph had his guard up however. I dont know why that stuff was so funny? Like the three stooges beating the crap out of each other all the time. Now today we have every other cartoon character pukeing all over everybody and everything, improvement ? Ive seen so many movies I cant remember the names and tie them in with the scripts. Any and all that really connect with me are more realistic and down to earth types, or hysterically stupid like Wagons East. Chris Farley, such a loss. I recently saw Octagon again, first time since I saw it in theater back in ? 77?. talk about cheezy, sorry Chuck but Jackie Chan you are not ! Now theres some movies I have always enjoyed, Jackie Chan is the stuff. Back in 77 we thought that Octagon was some serious action, sad but true. A dozen Ninja's making girating motions giving Norris ten seconds to wind up and kick them in the head. I like Chuck for what he stands for just the same, and I would not want to aggravate him, Im sure I would wind up making girating motions
  14. In the shop I am currently working on a miltiwave vaporizer that will enable me alone to rid the world of ignorant & inconsiderate behavior.
  15. Im not sure on this one  Vinyl top on the older cars was nice but really didnt the cars without it look better ? It was a nice alternative however. Then I thought most of those mid 70's grafic cars were detestable at that time. Mainly the Mopars and Fords. What was that Aspen based Charger R/T or something like that ? Ikes ! Today I like to see them and remember the good old days but they were such a disgrace to the cars they were supposed to be paying tribute to. Kinda like, they couldnt have powerful engines, had distracting bumper protrusions, were completely lost in the styling field so the only thing left to do was put decals all over them. The few cars that are exempt to this in my eyes are the Z28's & TA's because they were kinda tastefully done, the Hornet AMX because I liked the body lines, and of course my favorite the 75 & 76 Century pace cars, 75 I like the best for appearence, but heres the 76 still Im not sure this is something that would fly today, example, I like this car but I dont think the public would want these grafics for the road
  16. The various times I have had jobs driving you really get a chance to see some crap, becasue when driving heavy object you must be very aware of the others in general area. Higher up is better vantage point for observation as well. Ive seen some crap let me tell you. Its like so many drivers are absolutely clueless how to properly use the highway. Let me add that proper use of highway is advantagous to the drivers that are clueless, this is their problem and the source of their frustration. Let me add that in 32 years I have never made contact with another vehical, deer seem to be a bit tricky however and there was one instance back in 77 with a 58 Chevy Wagon, stuck on high idle, on hardpack, a corner and a culvert pole marker........yes Dad was a little agro. On interstates or divided 6+ lane highways you do not drive in the right lane unless you are comming to your exit. When in the right lane you make it very hard for entrants to merge, ever notice good truck drivers always move over to allow mergers ? This is because they are professionals and understand the theory of FLOW ! You do not drive in the left lane unless you are sailing, once again its all about FLOW Thats because you are the only car they see and as soon as they are passed you they think its clear sailing  Yea, this bugs the hell out of me because they usually fly past and move into your safety zone thereby putting you in the tailgateing mode at which point you must slow down to reopen safety zone. Then all us who have been driving for more than 5 minutes know this is the beginning of a bottle neck because you have slowed, five cars back must slow another 10 -15 mph by the time the effect has gotten back to them, go back 15 cars and they are slaming on their brakes  Of course as soon as you drop back to regain your safety zone, the next AH comes along and packs their car into it. Once again its all about FLOW! If the roads crowded and one lanes doing 75, the other 70 and the third 65 take your place in line in the lane at the speed that best fits your pace and you stay there. If you pushed your way up through the line at the market or waiting for the ski lift you would go home bloodied :P Yet on the highway AH's get away with it and the accidents happen behind them. I call these, people that think I was looking for someone to hang out with. Slow down, speed up, they wont pass, if they do then they slow down, its because they like you. I HATE these people the most  Im a loner, get the F away from me you friggin fly you ! Once again Ill compare it to the grocery market. Everywhere you go this guy behind you stops and checks out what you are looking for, his face, two foot away from yours, yea, he'd be going home bloodied. Just kiddin you know, Im not a violent person, but I do say something to these types. I have stopped in the store more than once because someone was pushing a cart right at my heals. I said "you know you can stuff that cart up my ass as much as you want but Im not going to go any faster" :o The looks I get  Sometimes I think maybe these people cant see well and its easier for them to follow an object than try to see the lanes on the road  or perhaps the are simply mor......ah never mind. Headlights, are easy to forget, for me anyhow in lighted areas, its a good way to get a ticket and I never have but have gotten down road until between the first two street lights before I realized. Highbeams - I could really go off on this. Screw the highbeam issue, whats with these new headlights and with that, why did we bother having lowbeams in the first place when these new lights are blinding. I mean I thought that was the purpose of lowbeams, so oncomming traffic could SEE! The new trucks forget about it ! the lights are so high, right at eye level and so bright you must literly look away and hope for the best. This is BS and with all the safety regulations out there I can not believe DOT is letting manufacturers get away with this. If they want to improve highbeams thats one thing but low beams should be just that. Then sometimes I think people may actually raise the height of their beams but can not confirm this. I know I've flashed a few only to find out they were on low. Then you get the lighting heros that just installed their extre lights under the bumper and drive everywhere with them on, DUH ! Anymore I find its best to just put my highbeams on and level the playing field, at least that way I can see past these blinding headlights. Best I can figure, a set up like this is the only answer for idiots who fail to understand the purpose of dipping the headlights
  17. Well yea, Im a little ticked off you know. I had one all lined up, the money ready, everything was set to go when I get a call from my contact telling me someone out west is interested and just upped the price ! Damn open market !
  18. never without due cause I dont think these photos are "slutty" - are they ? But then I dont think of the use of that word in this manor or any negitive sence actually. I can see her behind that hat now but they were quite tricky at first. the bottom two I would never ever guess. The one sitting up I could swear is not JLo, wheres the happy cheeks ?
  19. Why would anyone say anything negitive about these pictures ? Maybe the cig butt but thats about it. Thing is I dont know who it is, I have a feeling Im supposed to but all I can say is "no way", Im not seeing it. Any how if it is JLo, I really like the girl, at least how she appears to be in movies. Its not just how she looks either, something about where her head is at. I hope shes that together in real life.
  20. Thats cool, Paul Reed Smith is an American success story. Its been awhile but I believe Carlos Santana plays or did play PRS guitars.
  21. Fly ! Your starting to sound like that guy........razor something or other.
  22. I dont know if Camino checks in much but the dogs are lookin great ! This looks like that awkward 8-10 month stage where their just alittle out of proportion with long legs and still puppydog heads. Gangly! So much fun, teenagers, wild, pesky and full of the Dickens. Speakin of Dickens is your lawn full of craters ? These things can turn your lawn into a moonscape in the amount of time it takes to eat dinner !
  23. That lady just make the frost melt , no? , garters and stocking, yummy !
  24. Yea, 6T8 you could have left out that FWD part and just stuck with the real problem at hand. ;-)
  25. Yea, the world was just not right without that sig., now I know whats been buggin me. I like the NE meself, sometimes as I age I think about maybe Tenne or N Carolina or Kentucky. You know where the bluegrass grows. They seem to have less stress down yonder.
