  1. The performance versions of the current Focus and Fiesta (ST, RS) were highly regarded.
  2. Or the '62 Chevy II Nova. It was rushed to market since the Corvair wasn't cutting it, is what I've read. The Corvair was an expensive failure for GM.
  3. I really like the blue cabrio...sharp interior. Looks like a great car for a relaxed winding road road trip..
  4. You would think the longer wheelbase would result in more rear leg room, but I don't think they have published those numbers yet. The reason it has the longer wheelbase is it's a reskinned Acadia. Same wheelbase. The exterior dimensions are identical to the Acadia, so I suspect the legroom inside is similar.
  5. It's one of those style over substance plays...
  6. What makes it so odd is the Blazer has a 5 inch longer wheelbase and is 10 inches longer overall than the Equinox but seemingly negligible increase in interior space. They are following the Camaro formula---big and wildly styled outside, small inside.
  7. I think it’s like a a Wrangler Unlimited with a big trunk. Pretty cool.
  8. Aviator seems like it targets where an XT6 or XT7 would be. They already have the MKC (Corsair) and MKX (Nautilus) to target the XT4 and XT5.
  9. The lighting and upper grille shape remind me a bit of the Charger. And the dash layout and shape remind me of the 300 only smaller. Or maybe I'm seeing things.
  10. I like the styling..sexy curves, muscular.
  11. It would be pretty cool to see a production Camaro with a drivetrain option like this, tuned for real world use.
  12. Different people, different tastes. It's good for the mfgrs to offer choices of trim. I like a subtle use of chrome. I don't like monochromatic--that's a tired '80s-90s thing to me. And I really don't like blacked out trim, except maybe on sports cars. And esp. white SUVs w/ black wheels..so overdone.?
  13. Not sure, can't seem to find the numbers. But they are following the Camaro formula---big on the outside, tiny inside.
  14. I like the look inside and out...very clean.
  15. Rivian has been around 9 years it sounds like. It seems EV startup companies have long product gestation periods prior to actual production.
  16. Edit--about 6 1/2 years. The Model S started shipping in June 2012. Or 10 years going back to the Roadster.
  17. There is, but I think it's not published yet. I saw all the pictures come through earlier. It seems like Gallery images often appear before articles, I guess it's part of the publishing process. Or maybe I thought I saw them...I have been reading articles on Jalopnik and Autoblog today, they all run together after a while. Spoke too soon..it's there now.
  18. It's a very sharp and clean design. I like the interior design, and that two tone w/ burgundy looks great.
  19. I think that was about 37k for the 3rd quarter...remember, GM switched from monthly reporting to quarterly to hide the monthly results.
  20. According to the chart that shows the R1T and R1S specs side by side, it looks like the truck has the 135 inchwheelbase and the SUV is about 120 inches...which would make sense that the truck has a longer wheelbase. And it also says above 'Compared to the truck, the R1S is about 15-inches shorter in overall length and wheelbase'. (Interestingly, the chart is in the first post of this thread, but only shows up for me on mobile. I can't see it on my Mac--the article is truncated. Form factor rendering issue?)
  21. I am surprised we haven't seen a solid EV push from Toyota yet. Even Nissan is further along in the market.
  22. You always have to drop in and piss on any forward-looking topic w/ your black cloud of negativity, don't you?
  23. I think I saw the truck's wheelbase was 123 or 125, and the SUV's being shorter..I'm guessing 115-118. I don't like the vertical elements in the front lighting---maybe without those and smaller lights below the light strip, and perhaps a faux grille would look better. The blank grille-less face of some EVs (Teslas) is unappealing, IMO. Going to be interesting to see how the production versions of both look.
  24. It's weird, the Cruze was built here in NE Ohio, but the 2nd gen is completely unseen on the roads. I've seen maybe a 1/2 dozen of them around NE Ohio in the last 18 months. Yet I see Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, and, Kia compact sedans daily....I rarely ever see Sonics or Sparks either. The Sonic and Spark are leftovers from 10 years ago or so when subcompact cars still sold--Ford brought in the Fiesta, the Fiat 500 came, the Fit, etc but that niche seems to have dried up.
