I've probably driven at least a dozen of them (along w/ as many Town Cars) from around 2000-2012...were my favorite rental cars. Always liked them, had an old school big car feel w/ the neat column shift. Even drove a Crown Vic in Hawaii w/ a sunroof. Driven them in LA, Nor Cal, Ohio, S Florida, etc..

Maybe with a facelift it could be the next Dodge Journey...

Oddly saw two Milans earlier today around my neighborhood..a beige one parked in a garage next to a Grand Marquis, and a silver one parked on the street... Saw an '86-87 Grand Prix in gold this evening...paint was nice and shiny, but the body was raggedy w/ rust around the edges...also saw a very clean dark gray Mercedes 560 SEL (W126).

Saw a sharp '87 Buick Grand National this morning.

Speaking of those Packards, 20 years ago in Colorado Springs I had a manager that had a silver one. It was his grandfathers, all original in clean condition. He occasionally drove it to the office, his other car was a first gen Infiniti Q45, also silver. Speaking of Monte Carlos, saw two yesterday. A clean red one (06-07 front) and clean black and silver Dale Earnhardt edition.

Spied a decayed '59 Ford Galaxie in a yard in a small NE Ohio town yesterday...appears to have been a salmon and white color combo, may have looked like this decades ago:

Another reason it looks so odd...the wheelbase is almost 5 inches shorter than the GC. Another odd factoid--the wheelbase is the same as the old Grand Wagoneer (110 inches). Not sure why they would do a 3 row on such a short wheelbase. Remember the Commander from a decade ago? Had an even shorter wheelbase.

Just saw a sharp gray-green w/ black top '72 Pontiac Grand Ville 2dr ht. Very clean and shiny, w/ Pontiac mags. Right next to it at the light was a bright red w/ black wheels, black stripes C7 Z06.

It's funny, after seeing the pic of this concept yesterday, I really didn't think of it's connection to the HR-V, but then last night I walked past an HR-V in a parking lot and realized it looked similar...

They seem pretty nice, kind of like how a modern Buick could be...without the styling issues that arise from FWD. There is definitely a place for 'soft luxury' cars--where comfort and amenities are the top concern-- not everything should be measured by Nurburgring track times.
-
Yeah, pretty amazing how trim levels and bumpers and wheels, etc can change the appearance. Like comparing a base Grand Cherokee Laredo with a Trailhawk, Summit, or Trackhawk. 4 different trim levels, all with distinctly different appearances...
-
Different badges, different lighting, different rear bumper, different wheels, etc also. But definitely likely related.

Well, it was the pre-Sergio era when I was last there... the 300 was later branded as a Lancia at one point. IIRC, the Sebring convertibles I saw were badged as Stratuses ... and the Neons as Chrysler Neons...I did see a couple older Chrysler Saratogas (Spirit/Le Baron sedan in the US) also.

Industry News: Bosch Claims A New Breakthrough Can Save Diesel
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
Sounds shady... -
If Honda is going to do an EV here soon, an EV CUV would make a lot of sense..
-
So based on the Cherokee...transverse 4cyl? Has the unfortunate FWD based front axle to door length issue. But since it's not for the US, it's a moot point. Other pics of it show some weirdness around the rear window--the back edge of the c-pillar doesn't line up with the rear window/hatch opening, so there are cheesy black trim pieces on each side of the rear window...ugh.

ev cuv Camaro or Mustang EV CUV?
Robert Hall replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
Given Ford's announcement yesterday, these definitely seem more likely down the road. It wouldn't surprise me if GM re-thinks the mid engine Corvette idea and instead focuses on a Corvette CUV. Strange days... -
Sounds like automakers are inconsistent in what issues qualify as a TSB vs a recall.

It's better than Tesla's giant screen, IMO. I definitely don't like the trend of having so many controls in the center screen..still prefer physical buttons for many basic functions.

No, a lower the number of recalls per vehicle sold is a lower number of recalls. Right?
-
I see the similarity to the S- and E-, but on the S- the screen is recessed w/ an overhang...it's integrated into the dash..this just seems to be sitting there. It does seem like M-B is standardizing on a theme...
