Hadn't heard the term 'turnover' before in this context...when one salesman foists you off on another? My last car buying experience (last year w/ my Jeep) was very easy and smooth. I searched the Phoenix area online for CPO GCs for a week after i decided I wanted to buy, found a couple specific ones at my closest dealer that were the price/mileage/color combo/equipment mix I wanted, went in on a Friday afternoon, pointed out the one I wanted to test drive, looked it over, test drove it, then bought it. The 31st makes a year.

Compass is 27.2 cubic feet, Grand Cherokee is 36.3 cubic feet.

The oddball front and rear styling of the Cherokee no doubt hurt sales...

The Cadillac had a long wheelbase that allowed for the window to drop down...the M-B wheelbase isn't long enough for that kind of clearance..

The Atlas is their American family wagon--competitor for the Explorer, Highlander, Pilot, etc while the Touareg competes in the Europeanluxury niche against the Q7, X5, GLE, etc...

The same article also had a pic of the Skylark SunCoupe version from '72 with the same wheels, but painted gray or black on red car w/ black vinyl top.

It's there on the Challenger, hidden by the glass like on the ATS, Q60 and Mustang.

Whilst perusing the June issue of Collectible Automobile tonight, I came across photos of a 72 Buick Skylark Custom with wheels I don't think I've ever seen. Color keyed, w 5 slots. Anyone familiar w these? Good article on 68-72 Buick midsizers, also an article on a 59 Chevy 4x4 pickup.

So Audi has the engine longitudinally mounted ahead of the front axle... odd. Now that is on the A4 and larger sedan/coupe models, what about the smaller models like the A1 and A3--aren't those transverse FWD/AWD like VWs?

Saw a very grubby Tesla Model S at a restaurant last night..outside looked like it hadn't been washed all winter--salt spray crud accumulated, and the interior was a mess w/ clothes, fast food wrappers, etc scattered around. I guess slobs buy Teslas also.

Toss in the Lexus RC, a bit busier styling and more detailing in the rear quarters..

I don't think there is much market for an XT5-V in it's current form...Lexus doesn't have a RX-F, for instance. The women in the burbs leasing these don't have interest in a performance CUV. Now a performance Cadillac SUV with a RWD/AWD chassis and V8 ala the M-B AMG GLE 63 or BMW X5M could be interesting.... Or working with what they have, how about a heavyweight Escalade V-sport or V with this new twin turbo V8?

Audi has long been about AWD, while BMW and MB have long RWD histories. Audi doesn't have a RWD heritage. And Audi's key strengths are their interiors and subtle, crisp exterior styling.

Buick News: Buick To Drop Name Badge Beginning in 2019
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Buick
I've noticed it's been happening with car grille badges also..the newer Hyundais have huge H badges in the grille, for example.. -
Anyway, back to the original topic..I like the idea of a CT6 w/ a twin turbo V8. Looking forward to seeing it in person. Not sure about the taillights..

I have a buddy in Denver that had a G37 coupe in a silver blue, was a sharp car..of all things, the manual transmission failed and had to be replaced under warranty.. The Q60 I saw looked like this.. Edit: this color is Iridium Blue. They also have a light silver blue called Hagane Blue.

One way I do think that a Cadillac midsize RWD/AWD SUV instead or in addition to the current XT5 CUV could work is if its platform were shared w/ GMC. A Grand Cherokee competitor would fit nicely at GMC..picture a GMC Trailhawk competitor and 'Denali' (Summit competitor).

True, I used to have a coworker that had a BMW 5 series, that when I was talking to him about his E39 his eyes glazed over...'what's an E39?'. Wasn't a serious BMW fan...

Yeah, I remember all the idiots over a decade ago that thought the GTO was a Cavalier.

Interesting...I would think of the XT5 as a midsize luxury CUV, while the GLC is a compact.

A Genesis coupe would be interesting. I saw a Q60 up close and personal in a parking lot the other day, they really are sharp in person. It was a medium/dark blue...lots of interesting contours.

Maybe a RWD/AWD XT5 would be taken more seriously by the press and favorably compared to BMW and MB, rather than just being a lowly FWD/AWD generic lease appliance like the Lexus LX, Lincoln MKX, etc...
