  1. Yeah, the others are more 2+2s. I had the unpleasant experience of riding in the back seat of a '15 Mustang a couple years ago for a couple of miles...seemed very cramped inside considering big it is outside...I think my '87 Mustang has more headroom (and it is pretty cramped). Then again, it's probably pretty rare today that 4 adults go around in a 2dr car...I did that occasionally when I drove 2drs exclusively, but usually knew someone with a 4dr.
  2. I wonder if they are going to duplicate those buttons on the outside of the tailgate for operation with buttons on the key fob. Seems like that would be convenient..
  3. Challenger, Mustang, Camaro, Corvette, Cascada, ATS.. and the only 2dr SUV left is the Wrangler.
  4. Alas, coupes have been dying off for the last 20 years or so...only 6 2dr coupes or convertibles left from the domestic 3...
  5. Insurance is usually high for Mustangs and young drivers... for cheap reliable used cars the standard answer for most people are Civic, Accord, Corolla or Camry...all built in the US though import brands, but those sound like no-gos here...
  6. The GMC has a bigger grille and bigger badges.
  7. Trivially different bulges in the front and rear fenders didn't mean real differences, though..same meat, slightly different toppings.
  8. boost
  9. Given how huge the grille is on the 1500, I wonder how big it will be on the HD versions..the front is less overwrought than the Chevy, but still pretty busy in all the details.
  10. And the Rogue Sport is 172".
  11. Sat in the Terrain at the auto show last weekend...huge blind spots from the strange windows set in the c-pillars...small and rectangular, kind of like '70s opera windows. It didn't seem that different from other compact CUVs other than some quirky features like the toggle button shifter .. other than squarer styling and more chrome, the GMC crossovers didn't seem any nicer than the other transverse 4cyl car-based generic lease appliances from Chevy, Buick, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, etc...don't really see where the marketing 'professional grade' BS applies to these...so boring....
  12. That would help differentiate them from Chevy more... the sales of regular cab and long bed GMCs are probably a very low percentage of production now...the profit is in luxury trim 4drs...
  13. That's a pretty slick tailgate..I like how the center can be used as a step.
  14. Another example of compact CUVs leading the growth...
  15. Toyota pickups have had a loyal following for decades, so it makes sense the Taco is still popular..
  16. Funny thing is for the more 'exotic' type cars, about the only ones that interest me are some of the 911s (which really aren't that exotic, I suppose) and the NSX...less likely to catch fire or be maintenance nightmares like the Italians or Brits.
  17. Not sure..this is smaller, below the Rogue Sport/Qashqai. Which is smaller than the Rogue. Maybe the same platform as the Juke... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Kicks So for the US the Nissan SUV/CUV range for Nissan will be (top to bottom): Armada, Pathfinder, Murano, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Kicks.
  18. The small crossover niche seems to be really a fast growing market... saw the CH-R up close at the auto show, I guess it will fill the void left by the Juke for oddest looking small SUV...
  19. The Nissan Kicks is replacing the Juke. Though maybe they should have spelt it 'Kix'.
  20. I was trying to stay realistic on price and drivability and avoiding the exotic stuff...while the McLaren or Aston would be fun on a track, on potholed Ohio roads they would be a PITA...the Navigator would be a stretch but doable as a lease probably.
  21. Got a 5th one---this could be fun---2018 Kia Stinger w/ the TTV6 in the bright blue.
  22. Have to think some more..really couldn't come up with five that meet the criteria. There are plenty that are carried over from previous years that I'd own, and maybe some of the upcoming 2019s, but not much for '18 that is really new or facelifted..
  23. Ok...new or facelifted for 2018. Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2dr--open air offroad fun Lincoln Navigator Black Series (silver blue w/ lt blue interior)--luxury cruiser for road trips Buick Regal Tour-X (comfy practical daily driver) Ford Mustang Bullitt--I still like green Mustangs
  24. Huh? The Bolt, ESV and CTS-v are unchanged from 2017. The GC Trackhawk is a new trim level, but the Trailhawk is carried over from 2017. 'New for 2018' I would understand would be new or redesigned models like the Regal Tour-X, Regal Sportback, Navigator, etc... Anyway, I need to put some thought into my own list.
