  1. Well, Tesla has brand identity and cache in the public consciousness. The general public has no idea what SF Motors is.
  2. I knew it because I've seen it referenced in British car magazines and Road & Track in Jag-u-war articles.. and I knew the song.
  3. Well, it wasn't Murican or GM, so we can give you a pass for not knowing..
  4. Ready for the back country trails of SW Colorado...out and about around Ouray, Durango, Telluride..
  5. It is funny...Jaguar has used the 'X' prefix in car model names for decades, and putting an 'X' in the name is the universal shorthand for crossover, yet they don't have a crossover with an 'X' in the name...
  6. And PHEVs and EVs have a charge outlet access panel.
  7. Side profile of the SF7 reminds me of a toned down Civic. The styling is pretty anonymous, the branding non-existent. Seems like they would need a better name than 'SF Motors' if they want to stand out in the market...
  8. In car terminology, i think of a cap as a rounded threaded thingy like an oil filler cap, gas cap, tire valve stem cap, etc. While a door is a hinged panel. Maybe 'fuel system refill access panel' would a better description...
  9. I know about the capless systems--my Jeep has one, but you don't call a door a cap..
  10. And 3 brand identities... Jaguar, Land Rover, Range Rover...
  11. Do you mean push down the fuel filler door instead? Mercedes had fuel filler doors like that 30+ years ago...push in on the door, and they pop open (but the filler cap under it was threaded on).
  12. A locking fuel door makes sense if you have a concern of people stealing your gas when parked (or vandals or enemies putting sand, concrete mix, birdseed, etc in your tank). My Jeep has a locking fuel door (took me a while to remember to push the button--I was so used to my old one not having one), and I have a capless fuel filler also.
  13. I wonder if it's as much smoke and mirrors as Faraday Future was.
  14. Clearly not, even from that one photo. Maybe on the same platform, though..
  15. The black bumper version reminds me of the '19 Silverado and the current Charger. Of the 3 current coupes, I'd go for a Challenger..the styling appeals to me the most of the 3, it's the biggest inside, I like the interior and UConnect, and has a sunroof available, and I can see out of it better than the Camaro and Mustang. With the Mustang, I would consider a convertible. I drove Fox Mustangs for 15 years, but the current one just doesn't appeal to me that much...don't know why. With any of them, I'd want a V8.
  16. Sounds cool...a new application of the Bolt drivetrain, I presume..
  17. Yeah, Alfa pulled out of the US in 1995, the Alfa 164 sedan was their last model, the Spider went away a year or two earlier. I remember as recent as 2008 still seeing a couple 164s running around in the Denver area...
  18. The red one appears to be a base w/ the 1LE trim? The blue one is the SS, at least according to the pics I've seen here and on the internet, like these on Motor Trend. http://www.motortrend.com/cars/chevrolet/camaro/2019/2019-chevrolet-camaro-first-look-review/
  19. Haven't seen much memorable in the last week. Looking forward to Spring, this winter weather is hanging around too long...33 and flurries today. Saw a gold Chevy Express panel van with the license plate 'I DO HVAC'...clever call out to their occupation, presumably. Also saw a late model silver Subaru Impreza with lot of surface rust on the hood...odd.
  20. I think the one with the bowtie in the center of the blacked out bumper, while the SS, was attempting (and failed) to go for an homage to the big grille 2nd gen RS front end...instead it looks like a '19 Silverado Trail Boss wannabe...
  21. Body color sounds better...or maybe they should embrace the cheese and chrome it up, do a Camaro LTZ trim.
  22. Neat Olds...I prefer the '71 styling, though.
  23. I'm really wondering where Jeep goes with the next gen Grand Cherokee (and hoping they don't screw it up--no transverse 4cyl). And what about the rumored Ram based Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer--will that ever happen?
  24. Fact check: Alfa has always been more of a sporting brand, rather than luxury. Maserati is FCA's luxury brand. And Alfa left the US in the 90s, not the 70s...
  25. And the SS shows the Silverado influence...busy, overwrought plastic cheese...
