  1. Actually, DS is considered a separate brand within PSA. I think DS could do well here, esp. the DS6 and DS7 CUVs...
  2. A salesman with a shitty attitude like that should just GFT...
  3. I remember in olden days, car dealerships were closed on Sundays and you could drive around the lot after hours and look at cars up close...and in small towns, the used cars on the lot were often unlocked. Nowadays, car dealers tend to be open 7 days a week and have gates so when they are closed, you can't drive on the lot. I do agree w/ being able to sit in and check out a vehicle up close if it's something you plan to consider buying. As far as my GC purchase, I'd sat in the Wk2 GCs at new car shows in the past, studied them online quite a bit, rode in a coworker's '14, and having owned an older GC for almost 17 years, I knew pretty much I wanted another GC with some specific options (sunroof, CD player, nav, light leather interior, towing package, V6, 4x4, etc).
  4. It's even more overwrought... the only new pickup design I like is the Ram, but only certain trims.
  5. I'm sure it's a good product, but it's just so overwrought and hideously styled up front, IMO. The F-series hasn't had a really good looking pickup overall IMO since the 9th generation ('92-97).
  6. Of course, with ad blocking software, many people (myself included) don't see most advertising on their mobile devices. Advertising as a concept is obsolete--regardless of the medium--IMO.
  7. Not sure how effective advertising is anymore, in the era of cord cutters and streaming.
  8. Problem is, Ford's ugly ass trucks are what sell in large volume and make the $$$$.....it's what the sheeple want.
  9. This does also smell like a desperate gimmick to get attention to a failing model.
  10. Nothing unusual about that...plenty of models have a $40k or more spread between base and fully loaded...like the F150.
  11. I remember that era of Cutlass was very popular when I was a kid. Saw them everywhere. The 80s were very popular also. Haven't seen a nice mid 70s to mid 80s Cutlass Supreme in ages.
  12. I don't think GM would want Opel products in the US market given that they sold off Opel.
  13. I could see a small Jeep similar to the Fiat Panda Cross..it's 20+ inches shorter than the Renegade. So Jeep may be growing both ends of the range..with something small and something large (the long rumored Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer)..covering all the bases.
  14. I'll be pleasantly surprised if this does happen. I like the current Continental, and a retro touch like this would be neat.
  15. They had the internet price, and then the price on the windshield which was higher. I got it for the internet price, which was pretty spot on for a CPO '14 Limited 4x4 V6 w/ 25k miles--based on comparisons w/ others listed in Az and So Cal.
  16. Went over to Dunkin Donuts this morning, and saw a couple out of the ordinary rides in the less-than-2-mile round trip--a very clean silver blue w/ dark blue top '83-84 ish Buick Electra Park Avenue sedan. Always liked the taillight treatment on those. A couple probably north of 75 were in it. And saw the red '04-06 GTO from a couple streets over out and about, first time I've seen it out since October.
  17. They were probably afraid it would steal sales from the Atlas or Audi.
  18. Cooper wouldn't have made sense as the brand; in the past Cooper signified a performance version of the Austin Mini (later Rover Mini). In past incarnations, since Mini was a model in brands with other models, its focus on subcompacts only wasn't an issue. As a standalone marque, it seems to run into a limitation of not having larger siblings.
  19. I like v. 2, prefer the thinner letters. Though I might have gone w/ a different font. I like the shifter/gear logo. I like Helvetica and Tahoma. Cheers & Gears Cheers & Gears
  20. I'd say it's a hardtop. There is no full B-pillar directly behind the door. That's just a small fixed window at the back of the window opening.
  21. Hadn't heard the term 'turnover' before in this context...when one salesman foists you off on another? My last car buying experience (last year w/ my Jeep) was very easy and smooth. I searched the Phoenix area online for CPO GCs for a week after i decided I wanted to buy, found a couple specific ones at my closest dealer that were the price/mileage/color combo/equipment mix I wanted, went in on a Friday afternoon, pointed out the one I wanted to test drive, looked it over, test drove it, then bought it. The 31st makes a year.
  22. Compass is 27.2 cubic feet, Grand Cherokee is 36.3 cubic feet.
