  1. Wheelchair accessible van...I've seen a few in AZ...can't recall the name of the company that builds them...pretty ugly.
  2. According to the Wikipedia 1900 were sold in the US in 2015. At some point MB and Tesla split.
  3. That's what I thought. 2014 B-Class Electric Drive used Tesla hardware. (Was googling whilst sitting here at airport waiting)
  4. At the coffee shop this morning, I saw a guy at the grocery next door putting groceries in the trunk of his car..dude looked a bit like Clint Eastwood, in his 70s. The car? A bright green Challenger Hellcat. Never too old to rock and roll.
  5. I saw an article yesterday where BMW was saying they plan adding 40 models to try and catch up w/ Mercedes; they finished 2nd in luxury sales globally to Mercedes last year. From Jalopnik: http://jalopnik.com/bmw-oh-shit-oh-shit-oh-shit-1793627966
  6. They would get excoriated in the press if they did something like that...a PR nightmare. Though I don't see why they couldn't sell them in Mexico, close by, they buy diesels, don't they?
  7. As crazy as these ideas are, I'd love to drive a high performance cargo van...
  8. Maybe Ford can do a fleet of ST-spec Transits also...for Amazon (in Phoenix Amazon's fleet for home delivery are Transits).
  9. The next niche AMG needs to hop on is performance cargo vans...offer AMG versions of the Metris and Sprinter. (Though I've seen some w/ AMG badges added in Scottsdale)
  10. I do give them credit, though, for having multiple body styles for models...something Detroit used to do very well.
  11. As far as BMW and their Gran Coupes go, I really like the styling of the 6 series GC..it looks much nicer than the regular 5 series sedan, IMO...
  12. Mercedes has 6 convertibles and 4 2dr coupes. Cadillac has zero convertibles and 1 2dr coupe
  13. I have been seeing 508 resource limit exceeded errors occasionally today.
  14. I can't see the name working well in the US...though old names like 'Super' or 'Deluxe' sound retro, not in a good way...too '50s sounding. At least it's not the overused 'Black Label' or 'Black Series'...maybe something like 'Essence' or 'Ultra' would work, implying premium luxury but subtly. Though 'Ultra' reminds me of a strip mall cosmetics shop..
  15. Interesting..didn't realize these were out yet.
  16. Another vehicle the T-Roc reminds me of is the Audi Steppenwolf concept from 2000..that was very cool, IMO. Was a 2dr ht SUV w/ a targa top also.
  17. I suspect that is what it's going to be...the 2dr ht targa was fun for a show car, but I suspect the production version would be more practical...
  18. I've eaten at a few places on that list...Primati Brothers, Pennsylvania Macaroni Co, Gaucho Parrilla Argentina--and others not on the list in visits in recent years..lots of good grub in the Burgh IMO. But the CLE is where it's at for the uncubed Cubical for the foreseeable future... http://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2017/01/best_new_cleveland_restaurants.html
  19. One with the Golf R drivetrain would be interesting...
  20. Yeah, similar concept but looking bigger and sleeker...the X90 was a stubby little car. I had a manager years ago that drove a red one.
  21. Hmm...do you have a link to what all the blahblahXX platforms are (what vehicles use them)? I recognize Alpha, Omega, and Y-body (Corvette), but the others seem like a random letter followed by a number then XX. I remember Delta, Delta II, Theta, Epsilon, Epsilon II but not this other platform jargon....
  22. They could get GM to manufacturer the last gen Impala (the one that ran for 10 years) for them with a different grille and some trim and call it the Kirkland America. A decent, solid value-oriented full size sedan. Hasn't the Burgh been becoming quite a culinary hotspot, though, in recent years? Or so I've read.. Phoenix/Scottsdale has become quite the dining hotspot in the last decade, lots of places there I will miss, but I have found a lot of good stuff in the Cleveland area so far...
  23. I'd think a production version would be a conventional 5dr crossover...baby brother to Tiguan. I like the looks of the concept, a 2dr ht targa..
  24. I think that whole scandal 15 years ago or so w/ the financing really hurt their image, then the recent fuel economy figures scandal didn't help. And they let the Evo hang around almost a decade w/ no changes...just nothing they have now really stands out vs the competition.
