  1. Which is consistent with 21st century Cadillac model cycles..the 1st gen CTS lasted 5 model years, the 2nd gen 7 model years, the 3rd gen Escalade 8 model years, etc with no meaningful MCEs...
  2. Another CUV w/ the blackout C-pillar trim like the Murano, RX, etc..isn't that played out yet? Kind of a 2015 thing... Definite family resemblance to the Acadia in the front...
  3. Interesting choice in the name...it makes me think of late 60s-early 70s Mopar names... (Super Bee, Dart GT, Dart Swinger, etc)...
  4. The F150 seems to be another example of a truck getting an MCE that looks worse than it's predecessor..like the Ram's recent grille change, or the last update to the Silverado...the predecessors looked better, IMO. 'worse' in the sense of busier, more cluttered front end trims...
  5. Side window treatment looks like the previous gen Optima...
  6. I've seen plenty of that here in Phoenix also...the drivers usually are too focused on their phones or tablets to notice...(can see the glowing screens).
  7. I've seen so many people with DRLs/DSLs forget to turn on their lights after dark...driving around w/ them on but no taillights on..
  8. My Jeep has an old school fender antenna, I always remove it before going through the carwash (unscrews at the base, hand tighten/loosen)..they should have done that..if Ford's antenna doesn't remove easily, that's absurd...an expensive truck shouldn't have an old time antenna, that's just stupidity and cheapassery...
  9. Whatever happened to power antennas? Fixed mast antennas are so old school...
  10. Yesterday---saw a new Audi R8 in bright orange, a new NSX in a bright blue, an early '00s NSX-T in a metallic orange w/ the targa top off, a white Aventador, and a red F488 spyder... I guess some supercar owners in Scottsdale decided to drive them on a sunny Friday after a rainy week.. today, I saw a new LaCrosse in a medium red, first of the new ones I've seen...looks great in person.
  11. White '69 Ford Mustang sports roof. 351W, 4bbl, automatic. My Dad bought it new the year before I was born, and willed it to me. It's stored on the family farm in Ohio along w/ my '87 Mustang GT. Looking forward to driving both this summer.
  12. A black '63 Coupe de Ville appeared yesterday a block over from me parked in front of a house, still there today....I strolled by, metal looked straight, paint somewhat oxidized. Good chrome.
  13. Seems like the car spotting threads have died off... saw a couple neat oldies today---a very clean black w/ red interior '56/57 Corvette at the gas station, and a two tone lt gold/dark gold '60 Olds 88 4dr sedan.
  14. Both songs are fun...I've enjoyed a lot the 80s style retro synth from artists such as Kavinsky, Rosso Corsa artists such as Miami Nights 1984, Mitch Murder, Perturbator, Lazerhawk and others.. One favorite collection is the 'Drive' movie soundtrack which includes tracks by Kavinsky and College.
  15. I did a lot of trail biking around the Colorado Springs area from '97-02 on my late 90s Specialized. Still have the bike, but haven't ridden in years...but with the extensive trails in and around the Cleveland Metroparks, I plan to get back into it..need the exercise.
  16. Cool...I guess I'm going to be buying a mower and a snowblower myself here soon...will be my first time for buying either (never needed them before--I have a yard service in Phoenix and in Colorado I had an apartment then a condo).
  17. Well, my 'toys' are about 90 miles away at the family farm ('69 Mustang and '87 Mustang GT)--my siblings and I inherited the house and land and each have 1/3 ownership (50 acres each). Nice dry barn w/ 10 cars there now.. (went through the probate adventure over the summer). I'll be sharing my garage w/ my sister's Chevy Trax (she's going to split her time between Phoenix, Cleveland and the UK for the near future)..
  18. Nope, a 1960s suburban split level w/ 2700 sq ft, 2 car garage and a big backyard. Over twice the size and 1/2 the price of my Phoenix house.
  19. Looking forward to some time off next week and the week after...the last month has been very, very busy with work and buying a house...will be closing on my house in the land of Lake Effect snow in January, pretty happy about how everything is working out..will be moving in late Jan/early Feb and working from home for my Scottsdale client.
  20. I've enjoyed the 3 reboot movies. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the new series coming next year. I grew up watching TOS in the late 70s-80s reruns, still a fan of it, regardless of the cheesy special effects. Liked the 80s-90s movies, liked The Next Generation and Enterprise, didn't really care for DS9 and Voyager. Been a casual Trek fan for close to 40 years...
  21. Been busy busy busy the last few months....was on a house hunting trip in the Cleveland area last week, put an offer on a house, waiting, as the realtor has had trouble getting a hold of the owner....if this falls through, will make another trip back after Thanksgiving to look at more houses...
  22. Saw a Chevy Bolt for the first time today, a white one at an intersection..it had gear on the roof that looked like autonomous vehicle testing gear (spinny things like I saw on the Uber Fusion autonomous car I saw a couple months ago).
  23. Weird little bit of randomness tonight...was ordering some product online, and the retailer's form had all the usual fields, name, address line 1, state, zip but one threw me: the usual 'city' field was labeled 'Suburb/City'. 20 years of web development and I've never seen that...
  24. Seems like a lot of work to create a fake...why not design a uniquely styled body for you homebrew car and not rip off Lamborghini... If I could afford a Lamborghini, I'd take a Miura or Miura SV...love the styling...the modern ones leave me cold..they just seem so cartoonish looking.
  25. Interesting that the two engine suppliers are also the only pace car suppliers..must be a correlation.. I've been to a number of Indy Car series races over the last 7-8 years, in Fontana, Long Beach, Sonoma, Phoenix and Indianapolis..usually get to 1-3 races a year.. it's my favorite overall racing series, moreso than F1 which has become so boring in the last decade or so..
