  1. I can kind of see something going on w/ the 2nd gen Aurora (black car pic) above--3 distinct elements to the lights.
  2. That's basically the plan from what I've read....
  3. A height adjustable suspension option would be good...get down close to the ground when parked for ease of entry/exit and loading/unloading, as well as for high speed driving for better aerodynamics...
  4. from here
  5. I don't see the resemblance..
  6. A little bondo and duct tape and it'll be as good as new..
  7. '67-68 Cutlass, '67 88/98 (must be a trim level detail--I see pics of some '67s with them and without them)....'80s Firenza....and over at Pontiac, the '80/81 Bonneville & Catalina (odd that Pontiac used that styling cue)
  8. Or how about an engine cover that gives the appearance of DOHC...that would work w/ most consumers..
  9. Ya, the Equinox/etc are midsize CUVs, the Encore is a subcompact...think Sonic-sized CUV.
  10. The '49 doesn't do anything for me, but one of these on the other hand would make me very happy... or or
  11. Look for a low mileage Camry or Avalon, even better than the white Accord..once you go beige you never go back.. A $500 beater might give you a couple trouble free drives, but it's opening a world of misery and despair.
  12. 3-4 inches taller sounds strange...taller as in ride height or actually making the body taller? Why??? These trucks are huge the way it is now...
  13. All of my coworkers updated their 4S phones to io6 last week...and have been grousing about it...a couple of them even stood in line Friday for hours to get their iPhone 5s.... On the other hand, we all updated our Mac Book Pros to Mountain Lion a couple weeks ago, so far, no problems.
  14. Even Apple can have epic fails..but that won't deter the faithful, I'm afraid. I'm happy w/ my Android phone.
  15. appliance.

    CDL required?

Yes, some...Cadillac CTS-v, Camaro, Corvettes, Mustangs, Challengers, Chargers, 300s...the good stuff. Very little of the FWD generics are worth remembering even 5 years from now, IMO. Seriously, who is going to care about a 1.4L 4cyl generic after a few years?

Most vehicles today are just disposable appliances...functional transportation to get from point a to point b with minimum fuss for a few years to trade on another appliance. Very few vehicles today are interesting enough to get passionate about. That's just the way it is...
  18. The sleepers I'd love to build- 1. late model ('03-11) Lincoln Town Car w/ the modern 5.0 Coyote or 5.4 supercharged V8 from a GT500, 6spd auto and stiffer suspension (but keep a smooth ride) 2. mid '90s Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham with CTS-v 6.2 V8, 6spd auto and stiffer suspension (but keep a smooth ride) 3. late model Crown Vic Police Interceptor w/ the modern 5.0 Coyote. Hmmm..pattern here?
  19. I've never had what I'd term a sleeper, but my brother has a '69 Ford Fairlane that fits the description...plain 4dr sedan, base hubcaps, 390 4bbl engine.. powerful and rather quick. I wonder if there were any 4dr '69 Chevelles built w/ 396s...
  20. Mitsubishi had a similar, boxy style van in the US then also...about the only one of that group I remember was the Toyota van...I've seen a few of those over the last ten years, in So Cal and Hawaii.
  21. I love the '62 Pontiac styling, esp. the Bonneville taillights...
  22. I can't imagine using a road map, especially in a city like Boston where you need to constantly check it to make sure you're going the right way if you aren't familiar with the city. And if you want to, say, find a parking garage with the lowest price in the area you want to park, good luck with that. Whereas the phone showed us various garages at various prices, allowing us to pick the one we wanted without spending forever looking for them. Just don't rely on iOS6 Maps or you'll end up in a river looking for a restaurant. Case in point..was in So Cal last week in a rental car w/o a map, but by using Google Maps and Yelp on my phone was able to easily find restaurants in Rancho Cucamonga (love the name of that town, for some reason) and restaurants and parking in Palm Springs, both places which I'd never been to before. Though I had printed out directions at home for getting from the hotel to the race track, I found a better route on my phone w/ Google navigation...
  23. Engine fires...the engine they installed for the NA market was too large and tended to overhead and catch fire..sold here '87-90. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Vanette
