  1. Meh...still a POS, even as a kit..can't imagine anyone wasting money on such crap.
  2. Different segments...the Malibu is the midsize, the Impala the fullsize. Same reason Buick has the Regal and LaCrosse, Ford the Fusion and Taurus. Not everyone wants a small 4cyl midsizer. Though I'd take a Charger or 300 over any of GM or Ford's weak FWD fullsizers.
  3. It is amusing...Penn being a lefty, and Mr Rock being a right winger. Both can agree on the Prius, America's sweetheart. It is amazing how ubiquitous Priuses have become...I see so many of them everyday, taxis, regular use. Was sitting in traffic at a light the other evening and counted 8 of them around me and across the intersection..of different generations.

    Not Again...

electrical components soaked in salt water = fire, apparently.
  5. Nice to see the big coupe being an S-class again..the 'CL' naming was kind of artificial.
  6. Good to hear things are ok w/ you, SAmadei...I've heard there was a lot of damage on Brigantine.
  7. Interesting..that '80s Ford in the last pic looks like it has a Texas license plate. I like this Jeep XJ pic...
  8. Probably was a Scion...someone changed them to the rest-of-the-world model name, Toyota 86 instead of the phony 'Scion' branding. I've read about people doing that.
  9. I've had a couple Blackberrys in the past for work. I carry two phones now, my Droid Razr on Verizon and a company iPhone 5 on AT&T, not sure if I like it yet..
  10. No, GM has said in a press release earlier this month that the current Impala will be the last one. [interesting...if that was the plan, I wonder why the center stack and console are not integrated...
  11. The dash is overly busy... and the top dual cockpit trim doesn't seem to fit well. The last Malibu pulled off such a design in a much cleaner way, IMO. Is a bench seat version going to be available? That might explain the lack of center stack integration w/ the console...
  12. '72 Gran Torino Sport That's what I thought...don't think I've seen one in that color.
  13. Saw a Regal in dark brown w/ window tint the other day, very sharp....not sure which trim level, had the flat multi-spoke wheels.
  14. Neat... what is the pale blue car in the background?
  15. I have the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx. I like the big screen, relatively light weight, narrow case and long battery life. The front and rear facing cameras work well. 4GLTE coverage w/ Verizon works well w/ it. My sister has the Droid 4 and is happy w/ it. It seems too thick and heavy to me, and I don't need the keyboard (I had a Droid 1 and liked it but rarely ever used the keyboard).
  16. Only an eight-year run for EPII? Seems sudden. But if this is a lightening program, then full speed ahead. The Impala is getting it in 2014 and will probably have a 6-10 year run on it, so I'm sure the platform will go well beyond 2016... maybe EpsyDos for the 'larger' FWD models and EpsyTres will be for the smaller higher volume midsizers (Malibu, Regal, Insignia, etc)...
  17. Got to have the clearance for snow chains, I've read.
  18. Probably needs more sound deadening and a quieter exhaust.
  19. Hmmm...I wonder if those are going to be single round lights...(or maybe stacked like the rectangular units on the current Silvy?). I like the quad round lights on the current Tahoe/Suburban...4 lights always look better than 2 on a large vehicle, IMO.
  20. Those 2dr Blazer/Tahoe/Yukons are sweet...too bad they never did a 454 SS version. I like the full size Broncos of the '90s also, though by the mid '90s they were pretty dated (basically a 1980 Ford F-series that went through a couple mild restyling cycles and interior updates). But back in the day when I had my Bronco II I really wanted a full size Bronco...
  21. How about those too cute, too happy Prius ads they are running on TV these days? Not Prius related, but I love the new Subaru wagon ad w/ the guy and his dog through the years...
  22. Cubical, as I said to drew applies to you. Wish you safe travels and staying healthy. The joy of dealing w/ time zones, stale airplane air, and crappy hotel HVACs... Stick with me kid, I'm platinum with Marriott and Intercontinental. I do have a silver status with US Airways that I can gift for 90 days. Cool... I'm a US Airways fan, but my company always uses Southwest and Hyatt. But I do have a corporate Amex card, a corporate Mac Book Pro, a corporate iPhone, and a corporate iPad..
  23. Cimarron Edit: I like how my phone tried to auto correct that to macaroni. Don't think I'd want to resurrect that one.

  25. If I were doing the TLAs from the start, the first letter would have been the segment-designator.... i.e. ATS would be the A-segment Spark-based model, BTS would be the Sonic-based model, what is the ATS now should be CTS (C-segment), what is CTS now should be DTS since it's the D-segment model, XTS should be ETS... with the 'S' ending for sedan, a 'C' ending for coupe or cabrio, and an 'E' ending for wagon/estate. but they've set a precident w/ what the have now. Though I really would rather have real Cadillac names....Eldorado, Seville, Biarritz (one of my favorites), DeVille, Fleetwood, Brougham, Calais..
