  1. Or relocate her to be closer by you, never know she just might enjoy the change and getting away from crazy brother. Not likely to happen..she has no interest in leaving the 'farm' (150 acres in the woods on a lake in E. Ohio)--been there 44 years, even moved back full time there after wintering in Florida for 15 years. And she likes our brother more than my sister and I... OUCH! To the likes the Sister and brother more than me. That hurts. We'll then stay in touch and enjoy your life. Not much else you can do. When our father was alive, the dynamic was my brother always fought w/ Dad and was Mom's boy... my sister and I got along better w/ Dad than Mom. Plus that fact that our brother has lived in the family guest house rent free for 30 years (after his divorce he moved back in). Maybe I am better off being 1500 miles away, I always feel like a stranger when I visit home...though I still a bunch of stuff there incl. my Mustangs.
  2. Maybe Cadillac CTS means Cadillac Cadillac Touring Sports (sedan, coupe, wagon).

  4. Yeah, the C-pillar/rear quarter touchpoint was subtly different on each of the B-bodies back in the day...
  5. I worry about my Mom in rural Ohio..81, in good health overall, she has my crazy brother living nearby. But sometimes I wish I wasn't 1500 miles away...I get the guilt trip and think I should relo to the Midwest or East Coast to be closer.
  6. Pretty much the same story at WMs in the Southwest, except you would need to add things for people speaking in non-English languages, wearing cowboy boots and hats, etc..
  7. I figure that may have been what it meant when the 1st gen CTS came out, but now a decade later, probably just means 'CTS'...
  8. Definitely an '80-85 Olds 88..you can see the taillight on the rear corner when the guy is trying to push it..
  9. Just seems like throwing money away to spend it on repairing a wrecked fwd appliance....that's what cars like the Neon are--disposable appliances.
  10. LTS? That's the letter combination they trademarked IIRC... LTS = Luxury Transport Sedan?????? Luxury Touring Sedan? Like how DTS was Deville Touring Sedan, STS was Seville Touring Sedan, ATS is A Touring Sedan, CTS is Cadillac Touring Sedan, and XTS is Xtreme Touring Sedan...
  11. I can relate.. One day working in Scottsdale this week, then 4 days in central Louisiana at a client, home for the weekend, then 4 days in So Cal at another client next week.. I'm starting to become a road warrior myself also..such is consulting.
  12. Interesting... had not heard of this car. The red and black reminds me of the Bertone Mantide based off of the current Corvette... it's violently ugly, lots of sharp angles..
  13. Speaking of which, go to /mlp to really see some f@#ked up horse $h!. I dare not go, but I've heard things. Nah...I don't want to see things I can't un-see...
  14. 4chan was probably the source of lot of it
  15. The Neon sounds like it's ready for the crusher...I couldn't imagine anyone spending a dime on it. Back in '94 when my college car ('86 Mustang LX 4cyl) was totalled, I didn't waste any time being sentimental about it, moved on to something newer and better.
  16. Glad she's ok.. trailer parks unfortunately seem to be tornado magnets.
  17. I think over 90% of the Rivieras sold were sold with the V8. Reading again, I missed that the Riv also had a Buick 4.1 V6 starting in 1980... but with 125hp, I can't imagine anyone buying them. Looks like Cadillac (Seville and Eldorado) also got the 4.1 V6 as an option in '81-82. The Caddy C bodies also had it as an option from '80-82. The question is which 4.1 There is an Olds and a Buick of the same displacement apparently. Hmmm...never heard of an Olds V6 then (other than the 4.3 diesel). Wikipedia shows it as a 4.1 version of the Buick V6. http://en.wikipedia....Buick_V6_engine

  19. Ah..interesting...never knew the Riviera had a V8 option then..thought they were all V6s.
  20. Interesting..if I'm not mistaken, the E/Ks of that generation each had their own divisional engines, maybe only had the diesels in common (or was the diesel only at Cadillac?)
  21. Hmmm..bendy. I wonder if the frame is broken or bent.
  22. Interesting.
  23. With all the rust that is present, this could be a starting point for a 'rat rod' style Camaro.
  24. Saw an very clean pale yellow '75/76 Sedan de Ville 4dr ht at an intersection this afternoon, seen it around a few times before. White vinyl top, tan leather interior.
