I want to wait to see reviews on the ATS, especially from European testers, they will be most critical. Car and Driver loves BMW, if the ATS can win them over, then Cadillac is getting somewhere. Did you say EXITEMENT!!!! That should be reserved for Pontiac, Buick can't handle it. BMW can't even beat old BMW in terms of handling and driving feel. Ya...old BMWs didn't need iDrive or exhaust note soundtracks or other artificiality...

Uh, no...the classic Fiat 600, like the Multipla.. or the regular 600, which was the 500's 'big' brother.. I wonder if the 5 seat version will be a variation of the new 3rd gen Panda but w/ 500 styling cues up front...

The Camaro one was posted on here a couple years ago when it happened, IIRC. Those old-time power poles need to be replaced w/ underground wiring or breakaway ones.

At first I thought it was a Smart in the US (since there is a Ford Super Duty in the background), but the license plates look odd...may be Central or South America since the Super Duty is sold there..not a Toyota iQ either. The spare mounted on the back makes me think it's a small CUV of some sort.

Well, I understand the rationale, even if it is just marketing...'sedan' just seems so pedestrian a description for sleek 4drs, esp. those w/ frameless door glass like the CLS. Nothing to complain about, IMO.

Ok...by that rationale, one could argue the '76 Impala was but not ones after that ... Size categories like full size grow and shrink with the times they are in...consider something as small as a '49-52 Chevy, then a '55 Chevy, a '59 Chevy, a '76 Impala, an '85 Impala, a '10 Impala...all different sizes, but all were categorized as full size (or 'standard' as it was called in olden days). Or 'compact'--with Chevy, something as big as a mid '70s Nova or as small as a Cobalt would be considered compact depending on its point in time... Ultimately, the public doesn't know and doesn't care in general..such terminology means nothing to them--all they care about is how much per month a car is and the gas mileage and what Consumer Reports says about it.... Categorization terminology today seems to exist for car geeks like us to argue about on the internet. Peace out...

I'd be suspicious of a Tennessee built Merc, since the US built ones are built in Alabama... If I bought a Mercedes or BMW, I'd prefer one built in Germany...

True, but the terms really don't matter anymore..the marketing gurus will define the products however they want to....the rental car companies define them randomly also (calling a Cruze a midsize, a Malibu a full-size, etc). None of it matters...it just is what it is...

Every 2 years for emissions in AZ and you can register for 2 years at a time here, which is nice. The one thing about AZ registrations I really like is the one plate...will miss that when I leave (unless I move to another one plate state).

Interesting...window stickers..that's quaint..so that's what they do in PA when you get registered? Here in AZ I just get the a year/month sticky for the license plate after getting the bi-annual emmissions test... No, nothing to do with registration (that's a sticker on the plate). These are inspection and emissions inspection stickers. Ah... emission inspection just yields a form w/ pass/fail that is used then to get the registration sticker here in AZ. No separate sticker for emissions. Same in Colorado, though IIRC, Colorado used to have a windshield sticker for emission inspection, but got rid of around 2001...

I wonder if that means there will be more than 3 inches between the front wheel well opening and door line... that dimension is what really pegs something as looking FWD or RWD, at least w/ today's FWD models, IMO. That and the related wheelwell intrusion into the interior because of not enough distance between firewall and wheel wells (the front wheel wells shouldn't intrude into interior space on a front engined car, that's just weak design, IMO). In the old days at least w/ some FWD models like the pre-86 GM E-bodies you couldn't tell by looking at them...
