  1. I think it would be aimed more at Acura,Volvo, Lincoln or Buick models....i.e. FWD/AWD. It less common and more distinctive than equivalent Acura models.
  2. Here's a Falcon sedan delivery, pretty rare from what I've read...never seen one in person.
  3. A Pontiac El Camino could be interesting, though. Been done before, tho.. El Catalina Rob
  4. As far as a phantom, a '59 Chevy coupe with El Camino doors and roof could be interesting, w a lengthened decklid or shortened wheelbase. Something like that would be fun to build in 1:25th scale. Rob
  5. Chevy's last was '59 or '60. Ford's was '59. There was a Falcon sedan delivery from '60-65. Don't know when the last Mopie one was or from the independents. Rambler had one based on the Rambler 2dr wagon at some point, seen a pic of one from the late '50s. Rob
  6. Hmmm...how about a Studebaker Lark, Rambler American, or one of those hideous '60-62 Valiants? That would be offbeat. Rob
  7. For something offbeat, how about a ground up restoration of an '80s Aries, Tempo, or Cimmaron? Or other '80s non-classic. Rob
  8. Saw two more '10 Camaros in the afternoon commute---a bright red LT and a silver SS, within a mile of each other.
  9. Very cool..great detail on that Pocher kit. I built an F40 kit probably 15 years ago, but it's a 1/24th scale Tamiya. I have yet to build a Pocher--they have insane amounts of detail and are very tedious to build. I have built a variety of kits, mostly 1:25th and 1:24th from AMT, Revell, Monogram, Jo-han, Aoshima, Fujimi, Hasegawa, Tamiya, Italeri, etc. Rob
  10. Speaking of yellow, saw the yellow '10 Camaro SS at work again today. Must be management, they have one of the coveted covered (car port) parking spaces.
  11. The original 240Z was a pretty cool design, IMHO. The Toyota 2000GT was also, but it was somewhat derivative of the Jag XKE. Rob
  12. The dash looks nothing like the '85 or '95 Saab interiors...those had more oval shaped instrument panels. Rob
  13. I see nothing wrong with the Saab dash...not unlike a BMW or Audi driver-oriented cockpit. Interesting details also. I see no resemblance to Pontiac vents either--I like how the vents are integrated into the trim. Rob
  14. I like it...distinctive exterior, nice taillight and headlight detailing. I like the greenhouse, and how the C-pillar fades into the tail. I really like the interior, esp. the dash. The dash design (not the detail) reminds me of recent Audi designs.
  15. The '88 gives me high school flashbacks. A good buddy in high school had a gray-blue '85. As far as used cars, there were plenty of '81 and up (and a few '78-80) A/G bodies---Grands Prix, Monte Carlos (a couple SSes incl), Regals, and Cutlasses, in addition to B-bodies. Amongst the new cars, there was an '87 Monte SS (maroon) and a black Grand National...then all the F-bodies and Mustangs. The older A/Gs tended to have some rust, due to the Atlantic salt air. Rob
  16. ARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH Last night, while driving from the grocery to home, I heard a loud 'snap' and the driver's seat broke off from the track...seems to be held in place now only on two opposite corners and rocks side to side wildly. The power seat mechanism still works for going forward and back, up and down, etc. Driving the S-Class until I figure out the fix for this.. Rob
  17. Or use birth control and have fewer kids.
  18. Maybe it will be Sigma-Epsilon II based...merge both...end up w/ transverse V6 w/ RWD.. One source says LWB Epsilon II, another source says RWD but in unspecific as to the platform. I guess we just have to wait and see what happens. So are the STS and DTS both still around for MY '10? Rob
  19. Out and about at lunch, saw 3 MY '10 models----not one, but two '10 Priuses, both white, in the same parking lot..one parked, one driving through. Back at the office, spotted a yellow '10 Camaro SS w/ a temporary tag. Cool.
  20. I remember seeing a '68 GTO 'El Camino' (homemade or dealer one off) in Muscle Car Review magazine about 20 years ago in that color.
  21. Chevy has the Traverse as their large family wagon....the Orlando will be their compact wagon, I guess..
  22. For some reason, I like vinyl tops on many '60s-70s cars, esp. Mopars. Chrysler went wild with shades of green w/ vinyl tops it seems. Rob
  23. Orange and bright yellow are probably the muscle car colors I dislike the most. Don't care for the Mopar and Ford '70 obnoxiously bright colors, except for Grabber Blue and Grabber Green. Much prefer seeing Challengers and Cudas in the rarer colors, like silver, gray, bronze, etc. My favorite '69 Mustang colors are Wimbedon White (like my 1:1), Black Jade, and Royal Maroon. In '70, there was an apple green/olive that was available on the Mach 1s that I'm fond of.. Rob
  24. I like that color on some cars, particularly Corvettes and Camaros.. Some of my favorite '60s GM colors are Goodwood Green, Verdoro Green, Evening Orchild, Marlboro Maroon... I like LeMans Blue, but it may have been overexposed. Rob
  25. Hmmm... 2 brands. Maybe they will brand the sport bikes 'Pontiac' and the cruisers/touring bikes 'Oldsmobile'. And use W-body parts, and the bikes will all weigh 1000lbs each.
