  1. Too bad it's not in white and gold Hurst colors, that would have been more special, IMHO.
  2. 77 here today, supposed to hit 80 tomorrow.
  3. Though I'm living in AZ, I have to go with the Steelers, my favorite team of my childhood.
  4. Ya, the Camry's reputation and resale value are gold.
  5. GM has had a couple of greens this decade that I really like, kind of apple greens used on the Avalanche a few years ago...one rather light and bright.
  6. That green in the picture in this thread would look good on the G8, CTS, or new Camaro, IMHO. Much nicer than the '90s Camry green..
  7. Because most American consumers want cheap, vanilla FWD generics from their GM brands? Sad, but true.
  8. Those are cool..
  9. I could either, but I would definitely consider a diesel (V6 or V8) in one. With a manual, preferably.
  10. Everyone in my cube farm at work have been talking today about the USAirways crash yesterday.... a couple of pilots/web developers over the wall from me have been talking about water landings, etc. Interesting stuff.
  11. Alot of it depends on where I'm living and the economy in 2010. I don't need a new car currently, as long as I'm in Phoenix, I'm content with my Jeep and driving my sister's old Mercs. If I move back to Denver fulltime (which is quite likely), I'll probably get something else, keep the Jeep for winter. If I have a good bill rate and the job market and economy has improved in '10, I might spring for a new CTS (for a daily driver) or a '10 Mustang GT convertible (I really, really want a convertible for a toy). Though I've also thought about something much cheaper, like a used Crown Vic PI, '03+ Town Car, or an old Mercedes diesel.
  12. Agreed..that's why I'm content to be a secular athesist and closet nihilist. I not sure if I believe in anything.
  13. True..I forget that Anchorage is not deep in the interior of Alaska or on the Arctic coast...
  14. Speaking of the weather, I checked USAirways on the flight status of my sister's flight from Columbus this afternoon--- the flight goes on to Anchorage tonight, and I'm amazed--the temp in Anchorage is nearly 40 degrees higher than that in Columbus, Ohio. Airport Weather Weather provided by Weather.com Airport Information provided by US Airways Columbus, OH Mostly Cloudy Current Temp: 4°F 10-Day Forecast Phoenix, AZ Fair Current Temp: 78°F 10-Day Forecast Anchorage, AK Cloudy Current Temp: 41°F 10-Day Forecast
  15. What's the story on that dark blue Grand Am posted above? Those fascias (esp. the rear) look so much better than the production car..
  16. Ya..that thing looked like an RR Phantom wannabe. I saw it in person at an auto show a few years ago, it needed 6-10 inches vertically taken out of the body, IMHO.
  17. Yes, nothing wrong with it, just not very distinctive. Lincoln is working on establishing a distinct design language on the exteriors, they need to do the same inside, IMHO.
  18. I am dissapointed Lincoln abandoned the twin-rectangular pod motif they have in the Navigator and MKZ though. This dash, while nice, looks like could be in any Japanese luxury sedan or SUV.
  19. Cool...looks like a hood mounted flux capacitor.
  20. The FIRST EVER G3! (remember the original G6 ad campaign?)
  21. Ya, lots of questionable facts... I've been watching with the volume down low, just enjoying the video of the cars.
  22. Sometimes I wish things had worked out better w/ me and fiancee #2...we were so compatible as far as cars and money. She bought the cars she wanted with her money (Jeep Wrangler, BMW 328Ci, both manuals), I bought the cars I wanted w/ my money. We had stable careers w/ six figure incomes. Basically, our views were that her money was hers, mine was mine, and if ever bought a house, that would have been a common thing that would have been jointly funded (we owned our own condos). And like me, she loved dogs, travel, cars and had no interest in having kids. Alas, it was not to be. A BMW wagon, eh? A buddy of mine bought a clean used '07 5-series AWD wagon recently, he and his wife now have two AWD wagons (that and an '04 Volvo XC70), 2 dogs, no kids..
  23. 74F and sunny here today.. will be rollin' home in a few hours in a 2dr ht w/ the windows down and the sunroof open.
  24. Strong resembalance...the 200C looks like a productized version of the Nassau concept. Similar arch to the roofline, similar greenhouse, similar hood, similar front fascia and grille.
  25. Maybe his wife convinced him to get a CUV to haul their 2.5 brats around. Most married men I know are unable to choose a car for themselves, their wives keep them on a very short leash.
