A Town Car may be my next car purchase...I love those boats. Last of their kind.
  2. +1. I think the CARB standards should be a national standard. Everyone can benefit from improved air quality.
  3. The last 8 were pretty long and painful.
  4. Funny thing is, that's what the right wingers would want...they are always hollering about 'states rights'. 2 standards is what we have now... they should have just set the Federal standard to the CARB one, created a unified standard.
  5. Cleaner and more efficient cars. What's wrong with that?
  6. Alas, that seems to be a styling cue that a lot of car makers are doing these days...Lincoln, etc.
  7. Ya... speaking of BSG, I've never actually seen the revived series. I remember the original as a kid, and I've heard friends rave about the new one for years. I guess it's one of those shows I'll pick up after it's off the air.
  8. Ya, I don't see how it's in either company's best interest. GM doesn't need to take on Toyota by building....restyled Toyotas.
  9. Mmmm.....winding roads. A road trip and various excursions throughout the Blue Ridges and Smokies in VA, NC and TN is on my to-do list, but in something more fun than the usual rental car. Since I've spent most of my time in the West since mid '97, there is a lot of the Eastern US (besides places I've lived like E. Ohio/W. Pa, SE Michigan, S. Florida) that I haven't seen, that I want to explore. Been reading Fodors, Frommers, and Google maps a lot lately (I've been a map fanatic since childhood, I remember pouring over my Dad's Rand McNally atlas from around '77-78).
  10. Ahh, like Phoenix. Phoenix's downtown is pretty small, not much for the 5th largest city in the US. But the city itself stretches for about 25 miles north to south, and the suburbs go probably 75 miles across east to west...
  11. Whatever influences the 200C has, I just hope they build it to replace the disgusting Sebring.
  12. Yeah, I would think it would closer and easier to source one through a dealer in the Columbus or Pittsburgh areas..
  13. While watching him in the chair on Inauguration Day, I kept imagining him in a motorised one with a rifle attached, out hunting...
  14. Heh-heh...I heard Palin is working on a book deal. And W is working on the plans for his library. I wonder what Cheney is up to, plotting world domination?
  15. Riiight....I would assume janitors don't work for GM, they are from an outside janitorial service like at most companies...
  16. That's certainly plausable. I don't see a reason for Chevy to change their names, but who knows. Of course, a question mark is what becomes of the Aura and G6 in the new GM reality...
  17. Maybe the Volt should have gone to Saturn, that way they could continue to build a green image. Chevy has lots of small cars already.
  18. 9-5, I presume? So there is Insignia, Regal, LaCrosse/Allure, 9-5, and in a few years, the next Malibu and Impala?

I voted other, as I believe you will come to your senses and realise you can have Pontiac Excitement! with the incredible 2010 G3. After gas prices go to $5 this summer, it will be the rational choice.
  20. Prius. The obvious choice... Or a G3 if you want to stick with Pontiac Excitement!
  21. Today I saw a sharp turquoise '64-66 Chevy pickup, stepside shortbed with some blingy chrome directional wheels (bleh). Also saw a sharp pale yellow '65 Chevelle convertible w/ the top down.
  22. Oddly, I like the orange and the two-tone interior. I like the new Mustang interior design a lot more, though. Though I'll have to see and sit in each before I can comment on the materials.
  23. Maybe China has such regs. Or the US/Can will have them eventually. Or it's intentionally tall to make the design more appealing to Americans used to SUVs.
  24. Never got into smoking...though for years, I've had one ciggy a year on my birthday..started that tradition in college. I'd also occasionally have a cig when out with friends getting drunk at the pub. Tried the scotch and cigar thing for a little while in the late '90s. Smoking and drinking was always a very social thing to me, don't really do either alone.
  25. I like the interior...looks like the front end is very tall, not unlike the current Taurus and the new MKS... I stood next to an MKS and it seemed like the fender line and hood were as high as a typical SUV.
