Another G8 article
That's stupid...how does GM get into such nonsense with their contracts?

Awesome! A 350hp C7 Corvette!
There is a lot more to performance than simply acceleration..with a sports car, handling is way more important...and less weight is definitely a good thing for handling.

Honda recalling 34,300 Fits
Hmmm..so does this mean some Fits are Unfit to Go?

2008 SUBARU FORESTER FIRST DRIVE
It's less homely than the previous Forester..

Awesome! A 350hp C7 Corvette!
Reading the article, if it could lose 300-400lbs, then 350hp is plenty... going on a diet is a good thing for sports cars..

2008 Chicago Debuts
Supposedly the Fusion is getting a facelift, revised interior, and the Duratec 3.5 engine for '09.

Chevrolet to the rescue
I wonder if Chevrolet Europe will ever get any legitimately Chevy cars (besides the Corvette), rather than just peddling rebadged Daewoo generics?

Calling all geeks and nerds!
Cool... as a kid, I geeked out on the original Star Trek in reruns in the '80s..got into ST with the first movie, enjoyed all the TOS-based movies... watched TNG but never really liked it, DSN, or Voyager as much as the original..

2008 Chicago Debuts
Yeah...the 5th gen concept was at NAIAS 2005 or so? It's been a looooooooong time..

2008 Chicago Debuts
It would be nice to see it at LA... I'd go to the LA show, but not to Detroit in January..

2008 Chicago Debuts
When is the production Camaro appearing?

New Chevrolet Malibu Careens Out of Gate
Similar around here...Cadillac seems to compete well against other premium brands here in the Denver metro, but for mass-market sedans, Accord and Camry dominate..

1971 Chrysler New Yorker
There was another sci-fi movie from the early '70s that featured C-bodies...Plymouths, I think..I haven't seen the movie in 25 yrs or so, but it was called 'The Stranger' with Glenn Corbett as an astronaut that lands on a parallel Earth...I remember seeing it as a kid and there were several early '70s C-bodies in it, IIRC.

Tesla ousts 3 top executives
I have more confidence in GM being able to bring something to market than Tesla, though...Tesla is going to down in flames before they ever deliver a single car, it looks like.

Chrysler working on emergency overhaul of Avenger & Sebring interiors
Agreed..it's the beancounters that are to blame for the crummy interiors they went to production with...

Reuss: More Hybrids for Holden
We have no idea if anything he says is fact...he may take twisted pleasure in spreading disinformation to the internet. In fact, do we really know if he really works for GM?
-
2009 Toyota Venza - it's a Buick
Yeah, but they are really only aiming for the ES and RX...they can't compete with the good (RWD) Lexuses...that's Caddys territory.

Chrysler working on emergency overhaul of Avenger & Sebring interiors
Interesting that Patriot and Compass get new interiors...their good Jeep models need new interiors also...the GC definitely could use an overhaul inside..too much hard, cheap, grained plastic for the price point (the previous generation GC interior was a lot nicer, IMHO).

Holden Monaro/Pontiac GTO DEAD
That was many, many decades ago...very few people remember or care. Their performance image from the '60s-70s is the only thing the brand can cling to now, they can't be marketed as being mainstream but better than Chevy, since that is where Saturn is.. As far as nonperformance, or even nonsporty models, I can't see a reason for Pontiac to exist... it seems that with Saturn in the middle and Buick in the upper middle, GM has their bases covered....

Went to Barrett-Jackson yesterday..
I saw the Rondine in the post-sale room after it was on the block..it was pushed past me, about 1 foot away...beautiful car..I saw the Thunderbird Italien up close also. Not sure what it went for...will have to go the B-J website and look up the results when I have some free time.

Holden Monaro/Pontiac GTO DEAD
Who cares about what Pontiac is in Canada, though? The US image that matters is what it had in the '60s-70s.

New Chevrolet Malibu Careens Out of Gate
After seeing 2 at shows and a few on a dealer lot, I saw one on the road for the first time tonight...a white rental, at the airport..

Isn't it time all countries drove on the right side of the road?
That's wierd..some place in South America drives on the left?

Serial #0001 sold at barrett jackson
I wondered how they did the Challenger..I saw the concept in the post-sale area, but didn't see a production version at all..guess they didn't have one available.
