  1. My brother used to work in auto sales in the '70s and '90s...Ford, VW, Mazda, Jeep, Pontiac.. I can't recall from talking with him, but how are people paid in auto sales--a base + some amount of commission on each sale?
  2. I was only 7 in '77...but I do remember 'Dust in the Wind'... not really familiar with other Kansas music--nor with the state--though it borders Colorado, I've never been in the eastern part of the state or in Kansas...no big pointys, the plains are too plain.. Having grown up around two Baby Boomer siblings, (born in 1949 and 1957) I developed a taste for '70s music early, though...there is a LOT of music from that decade that I love. At the top for me is Pink Floyd and The Who, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, and The Rolling Stones...along with Rush, Queen, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, AC/DC, and many others..... (I had a few beers w/ dinner so I'm getting loquacious, please ignore my rambling...) --Moltar aka Rob aka Cubical aka H-Cube. Born in '70, teen of the '80s, rushing forward through the '00s...
  3. I don't think it's quite that serious...dozens died from the Pinto problems..
  4. With Chevy being the volume GM brand, I'm surprised they didn't get one first, before the other 3.
  5. and Chips
  6. No V6/manual sedan?? Blech.
  7. Those look like Outlook headlights..hopefully the Traverse will get it's own hood, front fenders, and headlights in addition to the fascia.
  8. So what band is it?
  9. Interesting..someone wrote a song about Howard Hughes?
  10. Slick..I like the RX-8 homage in the front fenders...and esp. the hatchback. (The hatch is my favourite body style of the current model). It's too bad the domestics don't do midsize 5dr hatchbacks...the G6 and Aura would look great in 5dr hatch form, IMHO..
  11. Well, it would definitely would get noticed... maybe needs to a bright neon green or orange. I guess the over-the-top styling is to try and appeal to the kiddies that like the F&F movies..
  12. Light gray is the worst of all possible interior colors...makes cheap interiors look cheaper.
  13. Watching the video, I don't see anything wrong with her outfit.. She just looks like a typical So Cal girl out at the mall shopping. The Southwest guy that gave her a hard time must have been a prudish bible thumper or something.
  14. needs a taller roof, longer rear, fake wood paneling on the sides..
  15. I kind of like that show..their robot dance videos in the first episode were hilarious...
  16. Or since he's going to Europe, a nice new Opel Agila..
  17. Ah, she'd take your arm off..those little Aussies are tough dogs..10 pounds of terror..and they like Holdens..
  18. If I was limited in choice to only a Camry or a W-body, I'd rather drive the Camry..Ws are just too depressing.
  19. Zap Cars is also importing Chinese electric cars, such as the lovely Xebra Xero.. I sat in one at the auto show a few months ago..strange little vehicles. Zap Xebra Xero
  20. Wow...a W-body in Europe. Interesting...probably be the only one there...and how will you get it serviced there?
  21. The 20th century has been called the 'American Century', the 21st is the century of the big decline of the US...the downward spiral. The question is how far off is the end of the road?
  22. Since they are assembled in San Antonio, how about a Tundra 'Don't Mess With Texas' edition, with big Texas flag logo decals and steerhorns on the hood? And how about a Camry Kentucky Derby edition, to celebrate their Kentucky heritage?
  23. The tattoos are a total turn off for me...ughhh...
  24. Same here... I love a manual for a weekend toy for driving on twisty backroads, but in the Real World <tm> of the daily commute, with traffic lights, congested freeways, etc. I prefer an automatic.
  25. I'm still a fan of deep blue and silver (my current car colors)... I'm leaning toward a dark metallic red or maroon for my next car. I've done dark gray, gold and bright red in the past, would probably do dark gray again, but not bright red.
