    but, I'm thinking these numbers are now making the cars under-rated. Cobalts and Malibus regularly see over their 2007 EPA rating now.... they'll be even higher over their EPA ratings afterwards.

Starting with 2008-model vehicles, the Environmental Protection Agency is revising its tests to better reflect real-world driving conditions. but here's the thing.... my CTS and Avalanche seem to get exactly the 2007 numbers. I'd be disappointed if I was getting the 2008 numbers simply on past performance.

    GM has this neat thing in the CTS called "snow mode". I think it originally started on the Catera. Anyway, in snow mode the car starts in 3rd gear rather than first. This has the effect of lowering the torque to the rear wheels. This, combined with traction control disable <when needed> gives this RWD car the ability to get through most situations even here in hilly Western PA.

    no neons.... Go for an Impala with the 3800 Regal <resale suckage there for an otherwise good car> Alero <skip the GrandAm> Personally, I can't recommend any Chryslers. Even if you could get a 2008 300c for $6,000, I'd tell ya to skip it.

    Then it should get a redesign/refresh. If Honda threw in the towel after one unsuccessful design, we'd never have the Odyssey. I mean seriously, if America can forgive Honda for this: American can get over the initial SRX missteps.

    Unlikely. Satelite radio is essentially an IP based system. There is only so much bandwidth to go around. I don't know how close to maximum capacity each company is, but with my XMRadio, sometimes stations sound "grainy"..... this tells me that the audio compression is turned waaaay up. While there is bound to be some overlap between companies, Who really knows how much more each company could add.

    I don't think it'll get over the FCC hurdle. When the FCC started issuing these licenses they specifically said that the two companies were to remain separate. The only way I can see this happening is if one license is sold off to another company.... maybe somebody like Dish Network, ClearChannel, or Comcast would be interested.

    Toyota does just fine with 5 dealers in the greater Pittsburgh area..... I can't name 5 Chevy dealers without forgetting at least 10 others for each one I name.
