  1. The Tahoe and Escalade have very few shared parts. Frame, transmission, some window glass, some wires under the dash, airbag actuators. Not even the rear view mirror is shared anymore. The Escalade uses better (freer rolling) wheel bearings. Oh yeah... and transaction prices on the Escalade are up... way up.... They've jumped $15k - $20k per unit. ..... and Cadillac can't build them fast enough. Back to the CT6, from this short glimpse... Regardless of the hardware, it doesn't look large enough to go up against the S-Class. It looks more CLS sized. Not that it is a bad thing for Cadillac to play in that ballfield, I was just expecting something more S-Class in size.
  2. Wait, they're replacing the entire transmission?? or replacing something else?
  3. I just spent two weeks in the NYC/NJ Metro area with a lot of driving around. I saw lots of current body S-classes. There must be a very successful Benz dealer in the area because every single one has his T&LC logo on the back. He only seems to sell them in black or silver aside from the one beige one I saw on the back of a flatbed.

Analytics tells you more than just how many visitors you have. It tells you what they are reading and where they found you from.

I thought I replied here, I guess I didn't. You need to set up a Google webmasters account and a bing webmasters account. If you don't mind making me an admin, I can get the back end stuff set up. If you want to track your traffic, you'll also need a google analytics account.
  6. I don't put much stock into CR's reporting. They used to report Hummer fuel economy as a "problem" with the vehicle. uh... duh.
  7. Don't your feet get tired from all the running around you do moving the goal posts? Why would anyone buy a Ford GT with the Ecoboost V6 out of a Raptor? Yet, I bet Ford will sell every one they build at or above list price. If Chevrolet did a mid-engine supercar, I'd expect it to have the Z-06 motor or an even higher tuned variant. I would also expect that if it is similar weight and design to import mid-engine super cars, it will wipe the floor with them as it would have more power. The XLR's issues were not what was under the hood, but even then, moving from the DOHC Northstar to the Corvette V8 would have been a substantial upgrade for the car.
  8. I think its more of an assumption on Automobile Magazine's part considering the Escalade has it. ..... doesn't it have stacked headlamps now?
  9. Actually, I would expect them to build a Aventador and F12 beater using the Corvette Z-06 motor as a base. The Z-06 is within 75 horsepower of the F12 and 50 horsepower of the Aventador today and out torques the both by 141 lb-ft. Then there is also the fact that the Corvette's motor weighs substantially less than either of the V12s..... the fact remains that one of the best upgrades one could do to either the Lambo or Ferrari would be to drop the Corvette Z-06 engine in the back hatch for an instant and substantial increase in torque with a significant decrease in weight. Put an underdrive pulley on the supercharger and you'll even be ahead in horsepower figures as well.
  10. My issue is that Google will likely be tracking your location and trying to sell relevant ads to show you on route. Get in the Google car... you are the product, not the car.
  11. With every model that offers Denali trim selling at minimum 25% of them as Denalis... there isn't much motivation for GMC to do much more than chrome and different interior plastic. If you could get 25%+ of Terrain customers to take a $3000 up charge just for that, wouldn't you?
  12. I hope there is more to it than just chrome trim... but with how they do the Acadia Denali and Terrain Denali, I doubt there are any powertrain changes in the works. I'm sure you'll be able to buy a 4-cylinder Canyon Denali if you wanted one.
  13. Well those are just the supercharger locations. I would expect that in the cities, the number of generic charging stations is rather limited as well.
  14. Why not just use Ampera? Not like Opel is going to be using it anymore.
  15. Was never really a fan of the Bolt name anyway... wouldn't mind them changing it out for production.
  16. Looking forward to it!
  17. I still wish that Cadillac, Chrysler, or Lincoln had snagged the Pullman name before Benz did. It is an iconic American name.
  18. Both interiors are fantastic... I really like both cars. I probably prefer the C-Class because I like the squishy ride over the more sporty ride of the ATS.
  19. It's true... and an ATS-V will likely wipe the floor with the first CTS-V. Interior is substantially better than that car too.
  20. I don't think GM has a single vehicle in their entire lineup that could even begin to take on the Explorer Interceptor Utility.... and that's kinda sad. At least Chrysler could do a Durango Pursuit.
