    In this class right now, I'd probably end up in the Mazda 3.

    I've been at 31 highway in a RWD Hemi and 36 in an 8-speed V6 RWD, 35 highway in a 5-speed RWD Charger, and 33 in a 5-speed RWD Challenger. The LX cars have always substantially outperformed their EPA rating.

    We've already had the airbag bolts replaced once on the CR-V... I guess this next step is the whole airbag unit? If so, it would be a while before they spin up enough manufacturing capacity to replace all of the airbags out there.

    At $65k, the CTS V-Sport is a much better place to spend your time... and it doesn't look like a hump-back whale.

    Subaru is all about being outdoorsy, earth conscious, and apparently, hiking. Not sure how a RWD sports car with limited seating and storage, even an all electric one, fits into that niche.

    No... it is an internal grenading. I've already had it happen to our CR-V a few summers ago. After I bitched out Honda on Twitter, I got them to "goodwill" 50% of the replacement cost. There is/was a class action lawsuit in NJ about it.

    The BR-Z, as nice as it is, just doesn't fit the Subaru image.

    Cadillac needs to stand firm on pricing as long as they feel their cars are worth the price, feature for feature, relative to the competition. Let the people hunting for a deal on a luxury car go to Buick or get an Impala.

    Yes, my issue is with Hypocrisy. These guys have recalled as much as GM has, yet there is no one crying river on it. Honda recalling airbags after 14 years? I want to see Blumenthal calling for a Congressional hearing for that and those victims' families standing holding signs saying "Honda is Bad." The bigger question... how long did Honda know about it? Honda knows about an A/C issue in all 2002 - 2007 CR-Vs, Civics, Accords, and Odyssey where the compressors grenade and the entire A/C system has to be replaced. Not being recalled... if you're out of warranty (as you most certainly are by 2014) you are SOL.

    My issue is that Chrysler, Toyota, and Ford are sneaking in a bunch of big recalls too and getting very very little press about it. It is something I need to address here when I get a couple of seconds to breath.

    Does anyone do 0-60 in 4.3 seconds in regular driving? When that becomes relevant to sales I guess that will be the ELR's issue... but in the meantime I think its poor sales performance has more to do with the fact that it is a $79000 coupe.

    At $64k you're at 300c SRT8 level... or for another $3k you're into a base Maserati Ghibli.

    About a week to go before vacation.... I'm just coasting at work until then. No travel and leaving early every day.

    It's not that... I just don't think an S60L will sell here that well.

    By making sure I go to bed early enough ahead of when I need to get up for work to get the full amount of sleep..... and making sure I get play time ahead of that to wear me out good.

    Thanks... and welcome back. Right now I'm just trying to catch up on some sleep. I'm home for 2 weeks before a vacation trip to Germany and I'm making sure I get 8 or 9 hours a night.

    That comes from turning the engine 90 degrees. The Cadillac ATS with the 2.5 liter makes 202 Horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque in longituinal configuration, so I guess this rating for the Colorado and Canyon isn't that much of a surprise.
