  1. Because all you need to do is fog a mirror to finance one..... but as long as I can finance enough to get the V6, I'd get an Altima over a Sonata or Optima
  2. It's in a PDF format and we've had issues with posting those in the past. I'll see what I can do about it tomorrow.
  3. Price point. The Regal is a fantastic car at it's price point, but it feels feature light to someone shopping the $2,000 + $199 a month market. In my view, they are marketing the Regal all wrong... instead of marketing it as a premium family car they need to market it as an American Audi... which is as close to the truth as you'll ever get to that comparison. Their "That's not a Buick!" campaign is good, but they need to do one just on the Regal. The Mazda 6 is really in a different field... it is one of the best among cars like the 4-cylinder accord, Passat, Jetta GLI, and Fusion (it's cousin).... but it really can't compete with the Regal if you get too far up in price due to limitations with the power train (no turbo-4 or V6, no AWD) and the fact that it is built to be a budget car at the low end.
  4. ATS did fall off a cliff this month... not sure what happened there.
  5. Impala has gotten a lot of good press lately and it really is one of the best cars in a couple segments. It's best in the low end, large family car segment and it's even one of the best in the large car entry lux segment when you load it up. It does stand up well to the Avalon when you equip it right.
  6. The most important option box to check when buying an Altima is the one that says 3.5 V6... not just because it is a V6 but because it gets you away from the terribly unrefined 2.5. Why Nissan still hasn't replaced the 2.5 engine is beyond me.... the Altima with the V6 and CVT is a very nice drive.
  7. Pretty good month for Audi all around. I wasn't that impressed with the A3 when I drove it... but I can see it appealing to badge snobs who want something Jetta sized.
  8. Where's their luxury brand?
  9. Wow! 16,000 Cherokees! I'd be interested to know who they are conquesting those buyers from.
  10. Someone needs to get fired soon. Good to see the take rate on the TDIs is still high
  11. The new Sentra really seems to be a viable alternative to the Civic and Corolla these days. Less boring than the other two, a bit more sporty, and you don't feel like you're sitting in a bathtub (most Nissans feel open and airy inside). Same reason for the Altima to shine... and it is also a better buy for most people than the Sonata/Optima When does the speculation start on the closure of Infiniti? They sold fewer vehicles this month than Cadillac sold SRXes.
  12. Do you have onstar? You should be able to ask them what's up when the light comes on.
  13. Dodge can't get any traction on the Dart. They counted on a lot more sales there.
  14. Wow! Look at the Lambdas.... 20,800 of them in a month! Special incentives on the Cruze or what?
  15. They have an SUV in the small class.... the SRX is the same size interior as the X3 and GLK. Sure it is larger on the outside, but that doesn't appear to be SRX hurting sales as it is still easily outselling its German rivals at that price point. Cadillac needs an X5 sized SUV (interior room) and that is what the new 2-row crossover in this article should accomplish.
  16. GM typically alternates the powertrain refresh with the body refresh. So for Lambdas it went Release - Powertrain update - Refresh. Though it doesn't show up on paper, the 6-speed auto in the Lambdas was heavily revised during the latest body refresh and it is noticeable when driving.
  17. The previous Escalade was also $6k more than the GL in just base form. The 2015 model increases the price differential to $9k. Do try to compare apples to apples.
  18. ... and it's gone.
  19. I think major refreshes like the lambdas count. Its okay to use tge platform again when the platform is good, and lambda sales prove that to be the case. VW is another story. Their platforms are good but the refreshes far too conservative. The Jetta just got a face lift..... did anyone even notice?
  20. I upgraded the visual theme for the board yesterday and forgot to shut that option off.
  21. I can barely remember what I authorized 3 months ago much less 7 years ago.... my boss is even worse at this.
  22. The latest Durango is great. I just took one on a 450 mile trip and averaged 28.6 mpg from the V6/8-speed/RWD
