  1. Though... these "smart phone" holders are a sharp touch...
  2. ... you couldn't have just put the Impala face on the Malibu GM.... was that going to be too hard?
  3. The unexpected low price of another car, used with surprisingly low miles, that I am already very familiar with and would work well for my purposes. Like $10k - $12k cheaper than the target price that started this thread. Not a MPG monster by any means, but not terrible either. Good enough that it would be fine many times over at that $10k discount.
  4. Starting to look pretty good IMHO.... much better than the equivalent Benz and Audi.... but the Infiniti FX is tops in this class for looks in my book.
  5. Everyone who can refinance right now, should. Interest rates have no where to go but up. Makes sense for billion dollar companies too.
  6. Hmm.... recent discovery yields substantial change of course..
  7. The cars that are on the list are cars that I've driven extensively (except the Cruze Diesel, but that is a power train only difference) and already know that I would be comfortable with... and thus... all would be acceptable to me at the right price. Since all of them are close to the right price, I'm working out which would bring the most satisfaction or the best deal. I really enjoy the 300 C... to me it is a budget S-class in ride, drive, and handling. I've already said that if Chrysler sold a 300D, I'd just buy that and be done with it.... they don't... so I have to work backwards from there.
  8. The question was regarding road damage. As we've already established, the weight of the Leaf is not out of line with similarly sized cars. The Buick Lacrosse is actually lighter in eAssist form than in V6 form. The Tesla Model S weighs 4,600lbs and the BMW 550GT (similar power, also hatchback) weighs in at 4,800lbs, and the Acura ZDX (a lot less power, still a hatch) weighs in at 4,400lbs.... so even the current Model S seems in line with the competition.
  9. The millions of 3 ton light duty pickups on the roads have done far more road damage than a few electric cars will, I think... In time, as the electric auto grow, they will do far more damage than the light duty trucks. .... based on.... what?
  10. Well the Jetta was never really on the list, even as a TDI.
  11. It weighs the same as a base Buick Verano....
  12. His Ego will be what gets him...
  13. well... I really think it's down to the 300 and the Passat... but a recent find is tilting me more in one direction over the other. I'm still waiting till I drive a Cruze diesel.
  14. But for $2k more I can get the Passat TDI and get 50mpg highway... Keep in mind, sporty driving is not a priority for me. I like the cushy rides.
  15. The hypermilers are going to go to VW anyway I think... but I'm glad Chevy is taking a bit of a risk here.
  16. ~30,000 vehicles that were essentially another bodystyle of the very popular Tahoe or Suburban even! The only differences between a Tahoe and Avalache are the rear seats, the pass through area, and the body panels that form the bed. Cadillac moves far fewer CTS Coupes than they did Avalanches.
  17. Happy B-day!
  18. The S-class may be a bit ostentatious for what I'm going to be trying to do.
  19. I'm thinking it's just one of those car wraps.
