  1. Not likely to happen. In fact Pizza Hut recently changed their commission structure, instead of getting a set amount per delivery (had been as much as $1.25) there is a scale based on number of deliveries per run, i.e. taking a single nets the driver $1.06 taking a double adds an extra $0.76 adding a third delivery adds an extra $0.21. A friend of mine who still delivers was telling me about this a few weeks ago, all of the drivers were bitching. I told him to get out, being a delivery driver hasn't been worth it in about two years, between gas, maintenance and depreciation, it just isn't viable as a full time job, which is what I told people when I left last year. Nobody believed me. Now they're making less than a year ago (even with the minimum wage increase) and I'm making twice what I used to..
  2. I imagine you on a bike is quite the presence.
  3. Rain...that counts as a spotting, right?
  4. VW Bus that I really want. Another Seqway (or maybe the same normal one from yesterday) that I really really really want.
  5. Agreed with Fly, there is a reason you can get a loaded Focus for $11k.
  6. Does a bunch of Segways count as a sighting? 2 Police units, one camouflaged one (??? I dont get it) and one plain 'ol Segway.
  7. $1325 for a 4-speed?
  8. Can it be called current if its not running and you therefore cannot drive it?Cars that I've owned or been the primary driver of in the 7 years I've been driving. 1987 Dodge Dakota (Hated it but could totally use it right now) 1991 Pontiac Grand Am (teh suxxors) 1992 Saturn SL2 (not bad) 1996 Buick Century 2001 Saturn L200 (the gold one) 1997 Chrysler Sebring ($h!pile) 2001 Saturn L200 (the maroon one, I actually kinda miss that car, but couldn't live with black leather) 2000 Toyota Camry Solara (say what you will, this car was great, and saved my life) 2006 Ford Fusion (we've had a love-hate relationship, but we're co-existing)

  11. Plus removing the B pillar adds cost. The Challenger will sell out at $35k with a B pillar, dont know if it would at $50k without one.
  12. Just checked the forecast and there is a cold front coming through early next week. Highs around 93 instead of 98! Woo Hoo! I'm going to make some snow angels!
  13. A Northstar, when properly maintained, isn't going to have any major problems in the first 5-6 years, just like any other new engine. Its when they get old and mileage adds up that problems occur, just like every other new engine. I would have no problem recommending a Northstar equipped vehicle to someone, especially with the warranty GM offers. Many people simply dont keep their new cars long enough for these problems to manifest, they happen to second and third owners who aren't going to be nearly as diligent about things.
  14. Yeah, try going for a bike ride or going out kayaking at 6:30 am when its a cool 75 degrees out and finishing up a couple of hours later when its 95. Sucks.
  15. poo
  16. I thought of BV's Millennia the other day while eating a watermelon Jelly Belly. Does the Ranger run?
  17. Vehicularly, Opel is pretty much the European interpretation of basic Chevy, just transportation, they just do it without the fringe stuff like the Camaro and Corvette. They play to the heart of the market, so you're not going to find much you would want to buy from Opel, unless you like the GT.

  19. Opel, for the reasons PCS pointed out, offers the future financial security that will allow GM to continue to produce low-margin niche models for enthusiasts.
  20. 7 and 9 are both less than 300.
  21. The Caddy is nice, but the real story is that HAWT Tracker in back.
  22. Camaros are a bigger problem around here than ricers. Plus the 3rd gens are ugly. There were like 6 attractive models in the 80's, the Camaro wasn't one of them.
  23. I'd prefer the Patriot to the Compass, although I do think the Compass has potential as a sorority girl car if they would market it as such.
  24. Does it cover the cost of the rental or include free loaner use for the owners who have to leave their car at the dealership for weeks on end because their transmission went out and there are 14 cars with the same problem in front of them?
  25. I had a woman in a Bonneville switch lanes at a red light to get next to me, try to keep up with me for about a quarter of a mile (I wasn't exactly burning it up) then jerk back over into my lane, follow me through two lights then jerk back over into the other lane to make a right turn onto a side street. Someone from Iowa driving a Taurus managed to take up two parking spots (nose-to-curb) on a pretty busy downtown street.
