  1. I disagree with the article completely. It's not about times changing, it's about people not knowing how to manage their money. And that's no bodies fault but the school system, their parents, and themselves. At 24 I'm 2 months away from owning a house (well, starting to pay on a house). http://lakefiredesigns.com/house I've had my Dakota for 3 years, and granted I don't officially own it, but it is worth more than I owe on it. Many of my other friends are not having issues with money that I am aware of. They are living nicely (not like kings) but aren't struggling. The problem is people don't do a balance sheet for their expenses. HEre is mine
  2. WHen is the colbalt SS getting this engine?
  3. get waht you pay for.
  4. exactly. That's all my thoughts at why it's a failure.

    I'm pregnant

I agree on the August 15th B-day because that is when the great lakefire was born! Oh, and Napoleon.
  6. This is why GM is in trouble. Because they are more concerned about number of sales and percent of market than they are about profit per car. You have to do what's profitable, not what sells more. Selling more doesn't mean more profit.
  7. I could buy two XLR-V's or I could buy my house and have enough money left over to buy a decent car. Hmmm.
  8. I saw a Typhoon today...*fwap* *Fwap* *fwap* EdiT: Wait, those may have been early 90's
  9. How do you reckon that? The weakness isn't the 3800 it's the transmissions they tie to it. With a turbocharger you can easily output 350hp at the wheels. They get great gas mileage, great reliability, and great power. My only complaints would be it's sound and it's idle. But besides that I would say it's the best engine that GM has ever produced.
  10. Quoted for truth. THe 80's had some of the best looking cars ever in my opinion. I mean, where else can you find a car that is worth twice what it was new other than the 80's: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1987-BUICK-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  11. THat picture is from this article: http://www.channel4.com/4car/news/news-sto...p?news_id=13762 with the title: "What she might have looked like..."
  12. I couldn't find the "Troll" icon so that's all I have to say. Don't respond to this guy, you are only eggin' him on. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll
  13. looks like a scam to me. No american can fit into those doors and their website must have cost $20 to build. Can't take these people serious.
  14. whitewalls.
  15. My next car is going to be RWD, Manual Trans, V8, and not a truck. Those are my only requirements... So I'm hoping something comes out so I have more than just the GTO and Mustang to choose from. I have all my life to get something sensible and practice. While I'm single/married and have no kids I want a performance car.
  16. looks like it was stolen back in the day when auto thefts actually appreciated the cars and didn't just want a joy ride.
  17. I broke two of those rules last night. There was someone here in charlotte who got busted for living with boyfriend/girlfriend before they were married relatively recently.
  18. I mean what do these people expect? It's not illegal to take pictures on public roads.

    Colts lose!

ya, there has been a lot of bad officiating with the refs in these playoff games. I thought there were many bad calls in the Patriot/Denver game that turned the game around.
  20. I would agree. No one likes detroit. I don't understand why someone would want to move to detroit to live.
  21. RIP Chief!
